Had alot of fun did hardest 1 9.5 out of 10 murder mystery really boggles the mind and how its set up to almost win but we didnt made it further than most thought me and the crew before we went in

Ive never been to an escape room before so when I was told thats what we were doing I was excited.Between the 5 of us we didnt do as bad as I thought we would have haha but we didnt finish. The theme was an old west bar. Id love to go again and try another room!

My sisters and I had our first escape room experience and it was fantastic! I would recommend Escapology in Portage to anyone wanting to have a fun and challenging time. Thank you also to the great staff!

The five us played Antidote. We had a super fun time, definitely going to go back and play another room. The waiting room was fun too, it was dimly lit and featured table games, old school arcade games and a shuffle board table.

Im sure its fine if this is your first escape room experience and you arent expecting much. However, we have been to quite a few escape rooms and if you are looking for quality, try somewhere else. The puzzles are not logical. The room we did was missing an entire set of puzzles because it was broken and we werent informed until the end. Clues are given over walkie talkie here. Every other place we have been to, clues are given over a monitor to keep you immersed in the game and are themed with the room.

It was fun for our first escape room. We didnt really know what to expect- we didnt know there was more than one room so we spent wayyy too much time in the first room- ha! We were told we were going to get a picture sent to us, but never did. I wish we could take our masks off in the room- especially because I have asthma, it made things even more difficult. I took it off for a few minutes just to try to catch my breath and was scolded over the walkie talkie. Overall though it was fun. I would try another room.

Went twice with a group of friends, it was a really fun experience. We did the Mansion Murder and nearly escaped, though we “lost” it was still extremely fun. We tried Seven Deadly Sins second since it had a .5 easier rating, we went in ready to rock but the game was significantly harder. Overall very fun, but seven deadly sins gave me crippling depression...

Great experience! Challenging and super fun! Do it with a group so you get a better chance to finish it. It would be cheaper too. Use your clues wisely, but dont hesitate if you get stuck.

I personally did the Steel Shark escape room. *Spoiler Alert* and when I got to the part saying something about Braniness reaching new heights and I personally think it could have been clearer that the numbers for the keypad were in the UV light words. Possibly, a faint underline, or maybe something like that. Just a suggestion though. Loved the escape room!

The escape room was well thought out, and caused all of us to really think! With one minute to spare we were able to get out. Much laughter and the life lesson that the details are in the small clues!!

So much fun! Would definitely come again to try out another room! All the staff was friendly and helpful. Daniel was the game master and did a great job guiding us as needed!

This is a pretty good organization. Very great staff that is super friendly. That is very important to me. Thanks. The rooms are quite difficult. Not for kids. You need a group of intelligent adults if you want to escape without cheating (hints).

This was the most fun Ive had in a while. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful while the rooms are set up to give anyone a challenge. Both young and old alike will have difficulty. But it really gets you to work as a team and get engaged in trying to solve the problems and make your way through the courses.

We did the 7 deadly sins room. Was really hard. But a great time. Room was fun.

You know its a good escape room when even after you enter the right numbers the door doesnt open. We got stuck at one point until the time ran out, and come to find out it was due to faulty equipment that the staff even admitted other groups have had issues with but they havent bothered to fix or even warn us about. For such a premium price of $30 per person for an hour, I was expecting a premium experience.

Loved it! We had four people and I always recommend the more the better! But even with 4 people it was still a blast.

It was a lot of fun. Maybe not the best idea with small kids. Make it a part of a fun day out.

Lots of fun. Did the Lost City room, it was very challenging, but we made it out with 10 min to spare. Cant wait to do it again.

OMG! I love these rooms and have tried a couple rooms. Recently with 4 teens(2 new to this) we did Mansion Murder rated 9/10 in difficulty. While we didnt escape in the allotted time we are already planning to go back and beat the clock and win. It was a tough room! Some clues more obvious than others. Josh was working at the front desk- super friendly and inviting. Riley was our game master and she was wonderful. Thank you guys! We will be back!

We spent $120 for a room where a door didnt work we had the correct code in and we wasted a quarter of our time trying to figure out what we did wrong. we were supposed to be supervised over the cameras but we werent they admitted to having a new person not doing so. they said they could give us $4 off our next time we came but why in the world would we go back! we paid for an experience and they definitely didnt deliver with theyre faulty equipment and personnel

I had a lot of reservations about going to a escape room. I heard a lot of rumors they are lousy; Well I can assure you this not only abolishes that common heard belief it was some of the best fun I’ve had in a long time! Enter with a good attitude and work as a team and you’ll have a blast! Prices are very fair. Astounded how well thought out the games are. I live in Novi Michigan and have family here (in Portage), I’m actually making a trip back to see them sooner than usual just so we can play another game. It’s a great bonding experience for families and friends. It’s not easy (I tried the FBI exhibit). I believe I have an above average level of intelligence and I was astounded how well thought out the game was, yet still playable and enjoyable. 10/10 would recommend! Good Job guys.

A crazy fun way to spend an hour or so with a group of friends!!The escape rooms are designed like you are in an episode of Mission Impossible or trying to solve a murder mystery, or stop a contagion from being released across the world.Everything you need to complete the task is inside the rooms and it is up to you to figure out how to solve the puzzles.I have been here several times and everyone I have went with has absolutely LOVED it. For $25 bucks a persons it is one of the best most wholesome forms of entertainment you can get!Work as a team, and use your brain, work against the clock and see if you can solve the puzzle!Absolutely do this!!!

Had a great time here! We went as a teambuilding exercise with a group from work. We didnt escape, but had a lot of fun trying. Ive been here several times now and it gets better every time.

This was so fun and it was intriguing to the last few seconds! My friend and I picked the expert level room and although we were cruising along we didnt make it out so the game was not too easy we were bored and it was definitely a challenge.

This was our first escape room, and we loved it! It was my husband and I, plus our 14 year old and 8 year old. We all had a good time. We did antidote and escaped with 9 minutes to spare. The staff was friendly and the whole experience was really good. The waiting room is very nice and comfortable too.

The newer room we did didnt have all the bugs worked out yet so we couldnt continue even tho we did everthing we could do. We wasted all our time trying to figure out what we did wrong when actually it was just faulty equipment. Waste of money. Wasted alot of money. Wish we could have atleast played the whole thing threw.

Very fun and entertaining. People are friendly . The waiting area was clean and had a fun atmosphere! During the game, here were a couple clues we just didnt understand so, we didnt escape. Cant wait to try it again!

We had fun but just couldnt catch the bad guys. Be prepared to test your wits. They have a nice waiting area and prep rooms. Make sure to go to the restroom before you get called back to avoid delays. No cell phone usage allowed and they provide a place to put your belongings. We would go back next time we are in town.

If you are looking for something different to do with friends, family or maybe just you and your spouse, this is the place you want to go. Even the entry level room is tricky yet sooo fun. ItsI one of those places you say after, we are definitely coming back and doing that again

Fun and a new experience, but expensive for only an hour worth of fun. Costed $45 for two teens for and hour which was one escape from one room ...they seemed to have a good time though ... Teen daughter said it was fun but not exciting and that if she had to pay for it she would rather go to a fair or something . shes 15

I have done all but one of the escape rooms here. it is a great place for a family trip, or a good night out with friends. Staff is always very helpful and friendly. Each of the rooms are quite fun and hold fairly accurate to what you would expect for their difficulty rating. Well Ive only had to wait 1 or 2 times the waiting area is quite nice well decorated with several different games to play while you wait including a shuffleboard table and an arcade machine that is free to play

Made for a fun date night. As long as you can laugh at yourselves and each others short comings. The slight tone of resentment and self hatred from the employees during their scripted speeches is what took this from a 4 to 5 stars. We did the Budapest express and our guide opened with and here we are.. Getting on to a moving train. It was from that point on I knew I was going to enjoy myself.

Not for kids but an amazing experience that requires actual intelligence to solve many challenging puzzles leaving you feeling like James Bond! 10/10 would recommend and will be back!

Had a great time with some co-workers! The room was challenging and complex, but we managed to escape. Pro tip, use your clues wisely, we saved one until five minutes left and it got us over the finish line.My only desire is that the clues are more riddle based or require you to think deeper. A lot are simply deciphering codes to unlock keys or other items

Fun and challenging. A good way to spend an hour. Each escape room has a theme and there were six different ones to choose from with varying levels of difficulties. Great time for about four people per room.

Not a bad experience but I probably wouldnt go again. My first escape room experience was challenges in east Lansing and in comparison to that this wasnt nearly as well done.

We had fun here. They have a range of mystery events and it is a great group event. I would recommend 4-6 people. Its fun to work together to figure out how to escape. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

Amazing rooms, great puzzles, and so much fun to do with friends! Ive done 3 rooms so far and have loved each of them: Budapest Express, Mansion Murder, and Shanghaied.

This place was super accommodating, fun, and has friendly staff. We were a bachelor party that did a walk in. Also, they sell beer, which is a definite plus! Definitely listen to the staff when picking out which room to escape from. They all have different levels of difficulty.

Always a challenge but great fun. You get three clues and an hour to solve the riddle.... Good luck!

Had a good time but would like to go again with a bigger group.

I took my team here for a team building exercise. The ages range from mid 60s to mid 20s. Everyone had a blast. We used 2 clues and escaped with 10 mins remaining. The environment and staff are very inviting. You have to go experience it!

The rooms were decorated very nicely and the waiting room was great, plenty to do while you are waiting to begin. Some of the puzzles are challenging to the point of frustration as there are little, if any, clues to point you in the direction of the solution. Id recommend trying a less hard room if its your first time.

Had a group of 5. We had an excellent time and our GM, Hannah, was very pleasant. She was patient when we had to ask for our hints. It was a fun activity and I would recommend it to any small groups.

Its so much fun! You get an hour to figure out difficult but fair puzzles with your friends. Its fairly priced, the staff is wonderful and they have a free arcade in the waiting room. Will come here again soon! :)

Went with a group of friends for my birthday. It was okay. Some of my friends were more into it than others, so I was happy that some were having fun. A good mix of intellects and wild cards will make it even more exciting! Lol. Its a true mystery-lovers game.

This is hands down one of the coolest things you can do In portage. Its the fastest 60 minutes Ive seen in a while. Take this note, DO NOT HAVE THE GUY WALK YOU THRU, if you plan on coming back. I would do the antidote theme over and over till we figured it out...i mean we are coming back anyway, we just wont be able to save the world from the crazy scientist.
