Walking through the bunker you can run into water in some of the tunnel halls. This is water directly from the ocean BTW. The historic location creates a very scenic view to experience and connect with.

An interesting place to explore with great views of Puget Sound. The battery is from 1910 and has several levels, rooms, and passageways to explore. Bring your Discover Pass for parking!

This is the perfect place to take the family! Lots to explore besides the fort which is awesome in its own right. You can kayak around the water, play tennis at the tennis court and there is a pub. You can camp or even stay in the historical buildings that are offered for housing.

Walking through the rooms and hidden passageways was awesome! I found 4 or 5 hidden escape routes that were purposely caved in. I know theres a hidden command bunker somewhere deep underground because I saw the ventilation shaft about 400 meters to the right front of the Vickers Battery. Im sure its full of water and probably a health hazard but it would be cool to see. Fort Warden is an amazing place and I am certainly coming back.

This place is simply wicked cool. I love how you are free to explore uninhibited through all the dark rooms, passageways, and hidden stairwells. You cant help but imagine what it was like to work there a hundred years ago. My only wish is that they had left some of the artillery guns there so that one could appreciate their massiveness. Yes, by all means, stop here with time to explore.

An amazing place to go, its a little creepy but its all part of the fun (partially my dads fault because he told me it was haunted!) It gets really dark, and if youre claustrophobic I wouldnt recommend going into the underground hallways, but its a really cool place thats a must see if you go to Port Townsend. Make sure to bring bright flashlights and keep an eye on each other!

It is just amazing that this is still here. And you can see the living standing history in front of you. Very cool historic old building. I wish they had more of the guns mounted even if they were Hollow and fake it would just make it that much more cool. Definitely worth the visit
