Everything about these old Coast Artillery Batteries is extremely intriguing to me. I visit every time Im in the area. Its not a bunker!

I like history. And this is a historic place.

This spot in Fort Warden is badass. The feeling that surrounds this place is spooky, yet exciting. Its like an adult playground. If you bring kids, please watch them closely as there are a lot of places to get hurt if your playing around. I know from personal experince as an adult hahahaEnjoy the history and the beautiful scenery. Its a really special place.

The history of the area is very interesting, and beautiful.

Might be one of the biggest batteries in all of the forts . Just goes on for ever! when I was here they had a whole bunch of volunteers with military vehicles camped out up at the top of the hill doing demonstrations and answering questions about their personal military vehicles! It was awesome!!

Great place fun for day trip or stay

Battery Ash, as with many of the bunkers here at Fort Worden provoke thoughts of awe and wonderment, as well as providing a great location for respite and quiet reflection.
