Great little launch for canoes and kayaks, though it can dry up during low tide. There is plenty of shade for hot days. Great trails and wildlife, nice playground for kids and generally clean bathrooms. There are some areas to grill and a tall tower just a short walk through the park to really enjoy some beautiful views. Many really neat bird species like to make appearances here.
Clean, quiet and just a great place to hang out with the kids! Long fishing pier is kept nice with a cover in case it rains or the sun gets too hot. Its right in the heart of the Rose Bay marsh, so fishing is pretty good. I think the camping is for non-profits, which kinda sux, but everything else from the nature walk to the playground with covered pavilion is nice.
We used to LOVE this place, we’ve been taking our beagle puppy for almost 6 months. We absolutely loved the trail leading to the water, Luna loves swimming! A few weeks ago we took her back and were walking the trails when we were attacked by a swarm of bees I got stung at least 3 times and my poor puppy was stung over 10-15 times! We had to sit there and pluck stingers out of her skin. Those stings continued to turn in to blisters and eventually scabbed over, now over a month later she still has these bumps all over her! I don’t recommend taking your pup here during the summer :/ when it’s cooler out we MIGHT try again.
I really like this place. They have a pavilion with a bathroom right by the playground. Convenient for little ones. The playground is very small though. Theres a fishing dock and a small area for kayaks. They have a campground, but it is for special interest groups only. My favorite part is the trail. There is an observation tower with a beautiful view. The trail does lead to a dead end or water if the tide is in or its been raining a lot. It isnt exactly a dead end, but the trail itself ends in a semi wooded area. Along the trail are picnic tables and one porta potty... that is always being moved around.
You have to see this place. Its full of natural history! There is something in the air, you can feel the spirits of the past there. Bring your canoe, theres a great launch too! And a tall bird watching tower! Go...enjoy what God has to offer !
Favorite getaway hiking place close to home. Beautiful, clean, and relaxing. Not usually many people here when I go.
Absolutely splendid yall!! Beautifully designed, well kept, the picnic areas are private and beautiful. Theres grills, outdoor showers, walking trails, canoe foot-ins...really grEAt spOt!!
Just a pleasant place to enjoy Florida in her natural beauty.
Nice maintained camp grounds for scouts. Mosquitoes or noseems will likely kill you.Launch for kayak is accessible but not doable for boats. Easy access to the river.Dock and pier are good for walking and fishing.Playground and covered picnic is available as well as a hiking trail. Look for the geocachesSheriff has a deputy living on site so never a concern for safety.
Great place to hike, really pretty views, theres a place to launch your kayaks. Dogs on leashes are welcome.
So pretty great place to take a walk and get some beautiful photos over the water at sunset
Great park. Very tranquil with beautiful views. Great place to spend quiet time and enjoy nature. It isnt large but just right to walk around on theirs trails, bird watch or fish off their pier. You could also have a picnic there.
Pleasant walk, fishing pier, lookout tower, childrens play area, and picnic tables.
Wow I live down the road hadnt realized how much this park has to offer. Camping, canoe, fishing a outdoor large picnic area for semi large gathering..I love it !
So beautiful, it looks like you could do some good fishing there.
Great trails, fishing dock. Trails were muddy had to turn around. The canoe trail that starts there looks really cool. Campground but Im not sure if its open?
This park has beautiful scenery and is also a great place for a romantic walk. Some parts of the trails can get muddy, so I dont recommend visiting after a rainy day.
Just a beautiful park with awesome trails to loose yourself in.
Nice secluded park! Observation Tower
Nice area. Fishing pier. Kayak launching spot. Picnic area. Lovely camping sites but no one allowed to camp there. Organized groups only so it is empty. Too bad. Nice hiking with an observation tower. Ok bird watching .
The kayak launch is inaccessible muck within a few hours of low tide. If you use this launch be prepared to not be able to come back in until the next high tide.
Trails were pretty well-maintained when we were there, recently mowed. Seems like a good place to fish, if you enjoy that. Playground is pretty old and rusty/rickety. Some scenic views. Tons of bugs.
A wonderful place to walk with my dog! The boardwalk is beautiful as are the trails. Very well kept with restrooms and picnic areas vvv
Very quiet and peaceful. Watched 2 dolphins swimming it was very nice. Benches for relaxing or fishing from dock covered area for rainy days. Nice walking area
Nice quiet
Very nice place to go fishing and kayaking!
Cool place.
Honestly some of the best views ive seen in a long time
It was a great break from the hustle and bustle world. The marsh was so beautiful.it is a must see for those seeking to get away or even camp.
Lalalalalalove thiS pARk yaLL!! Beautifully designed. Thoughtful flow of, trails and nature, that will give you the sense of being in the thick of the forest. Incredibly diverse range of species and plant life. Im amazed at how few humans travel through these hallowed of grounds. Theres so much to see and do!! Def a must see if youve not yet been, and if you have...its time to get back!!

Great place to take the kids
Very relaxing nice place to go get lost for a little while good place to go kayaking
I love the trainquility out there. Its never crowded and kept clean for tge most part.
Nice park to see wild life.
I went with my 2 kids, ages 4 and 6. We really enjoyed the short primitive trail out to the bird observation deck. We then used scooters to quickly get over to the dual fishing piers. Both the observation and fishing piers had covered roofs to get out of the sun! saw a Roseate Spoonbill for the 1st time
Natural Florida in all its beauty
Great park, hiking trails, nature. Good place to go for a walk and relax
Clean and quiet. Must be a 501(3)(c) organization to camp, but other parts of the park are open to the public.
This place was amazing it was beautiful it was so windy though on the day that we were there very hard to paddle in The Kayaks
Very well maintained natural areas and veiwing piers. Wonderful little county park.
Easy trails if you want to run around in the woods but more than anything its a place to kayak
Nice place for a short, scenic hike. The observation tower and fishing pier have incredible views. Along the trails I saw more crabs than I could count scurrying around.
A real true beauty of nature must see!!!
Loved tbe park. Has everything including kyaking with primitive camping, picnic tables and charcoal burners, and trails to hike. And the kids have their own playgrounds. I also noticed the park was for school projects and activities. Great use of community efforts.
Very well kept. Good place to escape.
Beautiful location but bugs may bother you
Nice park to have lunch and enjoy the walk to the Pier.
Trails, boardwalks, fishing, camping, kayaking, clean restrooms
Great place to kayak.
Great natural park preserve
Good place to launch your Kayak or Canoe
The park is not well maintained.. There were no trail maps. After slogging through wet areas to get to an observation tower, we took a trail with benches and marker signs that ended at the road. We then had to walk a half mile on the route 1 to get back to the entrance of the park. Not sure if the caretaker should be flying a black American flag that people can interpret in different ways.
Ive been going to this park since I was a kid, I love it so much. Great place to kayak and pretty cool hiking trail! Very well maintained.
Went for a sound walk sponsored by the Atlantic Center for the Arts. Really a beautiful place to go into nature
Beautiful. Went kayaking and walking. I highly recommend doing something that lets you get in the water.
Nice, looks like there doing a lot of work in there...improvement!
Nice. Lots of grills and picnic tables all over
It has a play area for kids, sheltered tables with bbqs, and trails leading through natural areas to water. A nice fun area for all. No cost to get in unless you donate.
Beautiful wildlife area. Cant believe the litter people leave. So sad
One of my favorite places to go walk my dog.
Lovely natural setting, trails, cute play area for young children
Spruce Creek is a really nice park. I took my dog to the back area and she loved it. It would have been a lot better without the meth head near the jungle gym.
Very nice park with a large pavilion area for parties and lots of private picnic areas (with charcoal grills).
Awesome park. EXCEPT when we stayed there, they gave us a bunk gate code. after 730pm we had to call a sheriff to let us in/out.being locked in was TERRIFYING. I was responsible for my groups safety. being locked in is a total safety hazard.that they gave us a fake Gate code rather than being honest adds insult to injury.I got out.. thank goodness.also the people (care takers) who live in the park said we dont have the key and if we did we wouldnt help you anyway...absurd.
Great kayaking!
Nice hiking trail very well kept. The bird observatory is very relaxing with a great view. Quiet place for fish fishing.
A little gem of a park!
Beautiful views! Many picnic and BBQ tables. Very family and fishing friendly!
A very peaceful place to hang out and have a picnic. You can also bring your kayak if you feel like exploring the waters. Bring your camera also.
Nice quiet place.
Great place to take dogs.
