Great rooms done 30 plus rooms they by far had the best one ive done so far

My family and I did the Wizardry type escape room here. It was amazing! There were so many puzzles to complete and the company really took their time to decorate it. Its try the best escape room I have been to so far. We made it out with only 3.5 minutes left with 8 people. It was difficult but doable. Highly recommend this place!

My wife took me for my bday with the kids, had the best time, perfect set up, clues were hard but not impossible, I usually don’t get scared but this place had me on my toes, good time, everyone needs to go here.

A bit scary, but a lot of fun. It was hard to figure out and the lady was so nice to answer all of our questions after. Do NOT recommend bringing kids as it will be scary to them. Bigger groups the better in this escape room.

Chapter 2 is in my top 3 rooms after doing 30+ rooms. It is definitely the most immersive room but some of the clues didnt flow as well as my favorite room.

We played the 13th Room Chapter 2 for my husbands birthday with our friend. We had an amazing, scary time. Playing Chapter 2 makes you feel like you a character in a scary movie. It’s a fun, creative, immersive escape room that I highly recommend. I have also played the other games at this company and they are fun too. Chapter 2 is my favorite of this location.

What a great experience! I just finished my Vampire Escape Room, and even though I am new to Escape Rooms, the Curator of the Vampire art gallery was very professional and helpful. What a great experience with really great people. I highly recommend this to anyone, young, old, begginer or experienced, you will definitely have a great time.

Great service. We did the Sherlock Holmes escape room. Really imaginative, tricky puzzles. You can tell the staff really care that you are in an immersive environment. We were able to escape with a few min to spare, but it was quite a challenge. A few puzzles really took us awhile to figure out and the hidden story within the puzzles was very original. Ill definitely be following this group for more escape rooms in the future.

Excellent from start to finish! Host are great as everyone has commented. Puzzles and theme are good throughout. I have done another escape room and this is my favorite so far. I cannot wait for them to add new themes; which are in the works.Highly recommend!

This business is amazing!!!!! All around great people that work here to the different rooms in historic buildings all close by to the different themes and puzzles! I cannot recommend this business and their games more than any other escape room business I have been too. They do awesome corporate events with lunch and dinner options right next door. No one else does this in socal. Go!

My group did all 3 rooms They were fantastic. We just finished their Sherlock Holmes vampire room and that has to be my favorite room I’ve every played. Loved the ambiance and puzzles. Looking forward to 13th Room part 2 !!

I just visited all three rooms tonight and had to review. This is a reallllly good company. The games were awesome and everyone was so cool, the staff as well as our other teammates. We called in advance and they had some deals going on which helped. Worth a shot!!!! Thank you for helping me setup a great first date!

Id have to say the best escape experience of any of the so cal companies around! Ive done all the major ones in so cal (over 40 different rooms) and this is my favorite! They offer very unique experiences including themes based on past true crimes and offer a dinner-escape room game. Its honestly one of a kind. If you wanna try an escape game, go here first!!!!

We did the Sherlock Holmes room and even though the name sounds corny the room is incredible. The room is very unique and the designer says he wants to keep making rooms like this. This is probably the best escape room me and my group have ever done. And this is coming from someone who has done many rooms. The room is more of a mental scary than things popping out at you. And the people are very nice.

Ive done 65 rooms now. I heard very good things about this place on yelp so my gf and I decided to book all 3 rooms back to back. If you dont want to read all this skip the other rooms and just do Chapter 2. It is absolutely amazing!I started with Sherlock Holmes. This was advertised as a 90 minute experience with 75 minutes of gameplay. The first 15 minutes was the game master describing every item were not allowed to use force with and telling specific stories when previous guests used too much force. It was excruciating. He then started the clock and wandered awkwardly to the corner of the room. We then came to the horrid realization he was going to be there the entire time. We solved the first clue and when we went to follow its directions our game master walked over and did it for us. In fact several moments of the game involved him manually unlocking things when we solved it. There was even a moment when he unlocked a large chest and then crawled through it first. Denying us the chance to envoy one of the only spooky moments in the game. This room seems incredibly antiquated and somehow manages to deny you everything that makes an escape room fun. I dont blame the GM for this. He was very nice and Im sure just doing what hes trained to. Unfortunately can only give this room 1 out of 5 starsThe second room we did was chapter 1. The ambiance was better as soon was we walked in. We were guests of an old hotel and our game master was the concierge. He set up the story and showed us to our room. This is very much a gen 1 escape room. When we needed a hint we literally knocked on the door and the game master walks in. Not in character he asks us what have we done so far. There is nothing that sucks the immersiveness out of a room more than the game master completely interrupting the game to play catch up with us. He could easily slip an envelope under the door. Again nothing against the GM. All in all this wasnt a bad game but it seems extremely dated considering the quality of games that are out there. Id give it 2.5 out of 5 stars.So after these first 2 rooms we went into Chapter 2 with very low expectations. Before we even entered the building we knew this was going to be nothing like the other two. Without giving anything away, the set design, the hint system, the technology and the use of the GM was absolutely top notch. Dont even get me started on the Hellevator! This room was a proper modern horror themed escape room. Theres even a bonus mission for the people who manage to finish with time left on the clock. I was excited to find out my gf and I set the record for this room!!! Easily 5 out of 5 stars.Hopefully this review motivates the owners to refurbish the other 2 rooms. Clearly they have the talent and resources to make amazing rooms. Im looking forward to seeing what they have in store. Go do Chapter 2!!!

Wow! I have nothing but positive things to say about these games. I wish I had known about this place a lot sooner. I had my birthday party and used the 13th room along with the restaurant next door to celebrate. Everything was perfect. Everyone is still talking about how unique the whole evening was.

Had so much fun. We solved it. Will definitely do more.

My friends and I had a great time, we have done this adventure 3 times now and plan to do more. I 100% recommend everyone try this experience.

I had reservations about this kind of thing in the beginning, but when we went with my friends to celebrate their birthdays we had a blast. We finished with 13 minutes 30 seconds to spare.The ambience is great. The clues are challenging, and the props are cool.

1st Escape room. I had a lot of fun.

First off, you can’t really call this an escape room if you have to rely on the host for almost everything. We found that to be very disappointing. Some of the puzzles are so obscure and they don’t relate to the next one. If it was a theme, my group did not see the relevance. You will have to use up all your clues and he basically tells you how to do things because the room is poorly put together. It’s disappointing because the room definitely has potential. They just need to rework it.

I went with a group of 10 of us. We had a blast. Great ambiance, well thought out puzzles and a great host. We have done several other escape rooms but by far this was my favorite. Cant wait to do their next one !

Expensive and too many people.

Ive done a few escape rooms and this is one of my favorite ones! Its so well executed, from story line, to setup of the clues, to the hint system, and even the environment that the room gets put in. The caretaker was very personable, had some fun facts, and invited us to other 13th room venues that sound amazing (a new one themed after Sherlock Holmes is coming). I will definitely be visiting another 13th room after this experience!

This review is long overdue, Ive done 13th room and The Ripper (when that experience was available) and it was nothing I have ever experienced before. Immersion was GREAT by far my favorite rooms!! I cant wait to go back and do the Black Dahlia and every other room they come up with!

The hubby and I was looking for something different to do for date night. Stumbled upon a Groupon for 13th room and I convinced him to give it a try. Im a huge mystery/detective buff and the hubby not so much but even he had a blast. I didnt know what to expect from an escape room and honestly I avoided them because I assumed it was some overly scary experience like a Halloween maze or something. I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun this was and how amazing we worked with strangers as a team. I was able to put my detective side to work and uncovered a few items that kept us moving forward. The clues and experience was well thought-out and keeps you on your toes. Apparently only 17% actually escape and although we didnt escape we were only 2 clues away. I didnt want the game to end so now Ive got to do another one because I think Im addicted!! If you are even considering this, give it a try.... youll have a blast!!

What fun games! Played a few weeks ago and had the best time with my three sons. The owners were very kind and the employees were professional. Puzzles and ambiance were on point. I like the theming of both games and the back story made it even more fun. We didnt escape the 13th room but we escaped sherlock, fortunately with the clues from the hosts. Thank you for a great way to spend time with family.

13th Room had one of the best introductions Ive ever experienced in an escape room. The host really set the tone (a creepy one) for what was to come. Great immersion and GMs. I really enjoyed playing 13th Room and The Curse. Unfortunately, I did not find Alchemy & Wizard as enjoyable. I look forward to playing the Sherlock Holmes room soon.

Fun place to visit. The manager was rude upon arrival. Very serious and seemed as if he didnt want us there. We played the game as a family, had a good time even though we didnt make it in time.

Super fun and pretty scary. This was definitely very challenging since there were so many puzzles and questions to solve.

Had fun failing the escape room. Very hard. We got about half way but somehow we were finding all the clues backwards which just confused us more! Everyone is looking forward to another try! Next time we will pay attention to the whole story at the beginning ... And go for drinks AFTERWARDS! Lol. Being tipsy doesnt help!

Fun place make it a must do

Did the 13th room the other day and it was magnificent. The puzzles were challenging and a lot of fun once we solved it. We unfortunately didnt pass but TJ, the wonderful host, gave us the run down on what we missed and the made the entire experience fun.

Great atmosphere, but many of the puzzles were overly complicated or just didnt connect. Apparently, its really not made for less than a full group and it basically requires you to use all of your hints. Need a bit of refinement, in my opinion.

Went for my daughters 14th bday. Had a blast, would recommend to everyone

Today was awesome . My son and I had another son date day and we did both escape rooms. First was wizards and alchemyZeek was fabulous he was our initial professors/ guide was helpful kind and informative. Yes it was difficult kinda wish we had option to not know how far we got and could repeat with other ppl that wanted to repeat...Second we did The 13th Room.Kyle was awesome as well . And a very believable story teller to get you in the mood

My first experience with an escape room and Im glad it was because it was a really fun experience. We got a Groupon and made reservations for 8 of us. Each game consists of 10 people and we were lucky the couple that joined our session was hella cool and pulled their weight!We escaped with 3:26 minutes left. The first group in a couple weeks. We had so much fun!!! Cant wait until their other room Jack the Ripper opens! TJ was an amazing host and the owner was here to congratulate us when we escaped. Highly recommended!

The 13th floor was definitely an incredible and immersive experience! The staff there was very professional and definitely added greatly to the atmosphere! Would definitely recommend to go check out the 13th room!

There game is flaued. You can move on to the second part of the escape room without a key piece of the game. Also we spent 15 min on a lock that we had the right combination to but it would not open. After asking for a clue for the lock that would not open the employee tells us This lock doesnt open and we need to replace it
