Super friendly and very helpful staff. Good selection of both salt and freshwater fish and aquatic plants. Seemed to be very clean all staff were wearing masks. Kids are very happy and excited about their new fish!

I’m only giving this a 2 star rating because there is one employee that knows what she’s talking about. I can’t remember her name but she was super helpful. The rest of the staff is very rude and seems lazy when I had questions or needed help. Not sure how this company stays in business when the employees ignore the customers to stand around on their phones. I’m very disappointed

Good customer service. They have customized aquarium tanks, different varieties of fishes both salt water and fresh water. The employees explained the queries we had and we had a good experience.

The place is clean and the fish look healthy and well taken care of. No dead fish in the tanks like other places Ive been to.

Ive stopped by this aquarium store 3-4 times on the weekends, and have found just about everyone working here to be pretty useless. Ive seen better customer service at the local DMV. Id strongly recommend going to either Dallas North Aquarium or Exotic Aquatics near by instead and deal with professionals that look forwards to helping you instead of dealing with what can best be described as kids waiting to get off work.

Used to be one of my favorite shops for aquarium supplies. Every few months Ill pop in for a few min just to see whats on offer. I cant tell if its the hobby in decline or just supplier issues. Its not what it used to be. Staff are nice and eager to help most of the time. Price for animals is higher than average. Selection is ok but not worth the trip anymore.

Im furious!! 3 weeks ago I was sold a diseased puffer fish and weve lost 10 of 13 beautiful fish since. The guy didnt given me any vital information before selling me the puffer and he didnt apparently follow protocol before sending me out the door with it. Then, that guy gave me terrible advice about adjusting my ph levels in my tank and another guy told me to I should be changing my water every week. Ive been there 4 times in a month and the owner is never there anymore. Theyve killed nearly every fish in my aquarium that Ive had for over 3 years with no problems. Try explaining to your 6yo child why all his fish that he personally named are gone! Disappointed does not describe my feelings right now. I honestly dont know what to do at this point. Im hoping the owner sees this and reaches out to me. Used to be an awesome place!!

This place is awesome. Had a plumbing question and they didnt have the part but directed me to where it was and drew me a map on a piece of a board that was near by. My kids loved it. Will definitely be back.

If I could give a zero I would. They had sold us a deceased pufferfish and then gave us bad advice on how to fix the water, because of it. We went back 2 more times after that because all our fish started dying. They continued not to listen and give us horrible advice and we went from a beautiful colorful tank to 1 fish swimming around by himself and when we asked them questions they acted like they didnt care.

Went in today to get help with my first saltwater tank setup. I do not know anything about saltwater, and from the moment I walked in, I was greeted and helped. They were patient and helped me with all of my questions! I love this place, and so does my daughter, we wont go anywhere else!!

Very great people. I got my son an aquarium for his birthday and they aided me in selecting the right equipment such as pumps, filters, and rocks for the tank I had chosen. They even gave me a little guide on how to take care of your own aquarium. My son is thrilled with his fish tank, and I am thrilled with this store.

Knowledgeable folks, and a pretty good variety of marine life for sale, but dying and dead fish in several of the tanks, which generally isnt a good sign... Still I bought a couple things, fingers crossed.

Every time I go in for questions or if I need a product, they always help me out.

The staff here was extremely helpful for me as I am new to the hobby and had a lot of questions for them. They were very patient and insisted on answering everything i had. They even tested my water and helped me out with getting me on the right track with exactly what i needed to get started and told me what I didnt need or what was excessive. Which that experience alone will make me come back repeatedly. I look forward to doing more business with these guys for sure. Thanks for all the help!!! Brandon is the man I will keep going back because of him and Christina!

Love visiting here, beautiful scenery!I bought a used bowfront aquarium, had them deliver and migrate my old tank to the new one. The fish are extremely happy and it looks beautiful.Ill update with pics soon, in cleanup phase now.

Very good family store feel. The man and woman who assisted me were very helpful and I will be coming here more often. Ive also noticed that their prices are the same, if not cheaper than PetSmart for a lot of their fish and equipment.

A really awesome place. Tonight was the first time Ive ever been. Purchased a fish and some food for it. I am so glad Christina reminded about food, it really would have been upsetting to get home without the special type of food the puffer liked. Will absolutely go back again!

This store has a great selection of both freshwater and saltwater fish and aquarium accessories. Staff seems to be very knowledgeable and is always very helpful. Today when we went in there was quite a wet mess on the floor, but I guess that is to be expected at a location such as this. Have bought many fine quality items from this location.

Ive known for years that ADA has had the best salt water livestock, but this year I started a fresh water tank for my kids, and ADA has a great selection of fresh water fish too! Great stock, great staff, great prices.

We are starting a beginner tank with my six year old, and Michael Willis patiently and informatively walked us through the essentials. Totally feel more confident now that we know we have experts close by to help us maintain and troubleshoot our first tank. Super customer service and prices seem similar to the big box pet stores.

My usual spot for my salt water tank. No complaints here, they do stock enough stuff to keep me occupied.

Unbeliveable...!A picture of an emplyee holding a porcupine puffer out of the water to make it puff up just for fun is just stupid.(He should be an employee because a customer wont get his hands in the tank to play with fish)Did you know that puffers may have some problems to expell all the air they sucked? When they puff, it causes a lot of stress to internal organs that flatens to the sides?In average it takes 5 hr 36 mins to its organs to go back to normal....and yes, some puffers can even die because of it.Train your employees or hire professionals.

I went to this shop in hopes to find a new selection of reef fish and corals, which most of the fish either had scratches, ripped fins, or some weird fungal growth. They have a great variety of corals but it’s too bad a lot are bleaching or dying in general. To top off this horrid experience one of the employees completely ignored my questions and told me to ask another coworker (he was cleaning algae but come on). The other coworkers were just fine, Christina was very helpful, but considering the fact the owner would let another coworker act as such without noticing is beyond me. Most likely will not be going back unless they take care of their stock better and fire the very unpleasant young worker. I wish I got his name to make an official complaint to the owner but just from my first experience I doubt the owner hasn’t already noticed his behavior, which is why I will not be going back anytime soon.

Ive loved this little shop for many years now. Theyve always had friendly staff & great prices.

They seem to have a foundation in saltwater, just a larger selection of salt vs. fresh. Overall, I like it as a quick/close stop for products. The frozen food they have is only cubes or larger krill from what I saw, but that may vary.

Love the mom and pop feel, but if you buy a tank thats all set up make sure to ask them if someone with your level of experience should be able to maintain it. I have lost a lot of livestock in the process of building my knowledge.

Can’t say it enough, I love this place! I’ve been to a lot of LFS in the area, and this one is truly my favorite. Great management in the store, and friendly staff available to service any kind of tank. They truly understand the hobby, and provide everything someone wanting to get into it would need.

This is a smaller fish store, and can make you feel quite cramped. When you walk in you will see some empty aquariums for sale, along with equipment, chemicals, and food. Further in is where the fish are, in a room that has the fish tanks along the outer walls and a really big flat tank in the middle that has coral and plants.Decent selection of saltwater fish, not the greatest selection for freshwater but there are definitely some ok choices. All the fish ive gotten from there have thrived, which is almost a bit surprising as ill explain below.Im sorry to say the tanks are dirty, more specifically the outer glass which should be easy to clean. I have seen a handful of dead fish there too, its like anytime an employee lifts up any decor in a tank, a dead fish is underneath it. I swear ive seen at least 3 dead fish in my 3 visits to this place that i can clearly remember. Its clear they dont clean the tanks super well because they should be finding these dead fish before I see them as a customer.I had one employee ive seen a few times who was less than awesome. Knowledgable, but not very friendly. The last employee i saw however was AMAZING. Nicest guy ever, super helpful and very knowledgable.So why 3 stars? I love the fish I got here, and they are all doing well. The prices of the fish are decent, the aquariums are CRAZY expensive however. My last interaction with an employee was incredible, but the place is a little small and dirty with dead fish.All in all, this is actually my new main fish store. Its close to home, has some fish I like that are reasonably priced, and i also feel a bit like im liberating them lol. Walking in im not very impressed, but driving home with my new fish and seeing them thrive is really what matters to me.

I had a very good experience with this place and found each staff member that I encountered to be very helpful. The store manager spent nearly an hour with me, patiently explaining the nitrogen cycle of a fish tank and he even gave me a demonstration on how to vacuum the substrate. (I already have a tank and was inquiring as to how to properly cycle it, so his patience was not just to make a big sale.) When I went back in a couple of days later, there was another gentleman there, who was also very helpful. They are low key and not pushy at all. While no one ever ran up to greet me and I was never bombarded with people asking if I needed assistance, all I had to do was ask, or in one case look like I needed help, and I was helped immediately.

How to lose a sale: Tell a customer that all of the Arrow Crabs are the same price then decided that the one the customer wants is $6.00 more. This place has never been the same since Al Armour (RIP) left. Used to be my go to place but no more. I get better customer service at Petco in Allen.

I’ve really come to enjoy this store. I’m constantly needing something for my aquarium and I can always find it here. In the rare case they don’t have it they’ll order it, and they’ll actually call you to follow up when it arrives. (Unlike their competitors) Customer service has always been fair, but Christina has taken it up a notch!

Went into the store with my boyfriend yesterday looking for some new food and some advice on fish we had acquired elswhere. We were greeted immediately, browsed around, and got help right when we asked for it. The staff was extremely friendly and eager to help, going out of their way to ensure we got what we needed. They have a good supply of fish and definitely have some that I havent seen in other stores. Four stars because I havent actually bought any fish from them yet, but I will definitely be returning in the future.

Employees were attentive. Freshwater plant selections were a bit lacking, and prices were higher than a couple of other little fish stores around the metroplex. Definitely more saltwater choices, if youre a saltwater fish kind of person. There were some dead fish in a few tanks, group of frogs were gathered in one, munching on a big dead loach. I purchased some nerite snails, and there were definitely dead ones littered throughout the tanks. Made the drive from Denton, and I thought exotic aquatics down the road had more selection and better prices. But it wasnt a bad shop, and the employees were nice.

ICH, ICH, ICH!!!!! BEWARE!!!! shop here your own risk. their fish have ich constantly and their tanks are not individual filtered, this means it will spread through all of them. I lost $50 worth of clowns because of these guys.

I went in for some specific fish, which they did not have. After telling me they did not have the fish, the wonderful staff ordered then for me, and called me when they arrived for me to come look at them. They held the fish for me, and let me pick the ones I wanted before making the ones I didnt want available for anyone else to buy. If you need fish, go nowhere else. Great prices.

The staff was very helpful and they had a good fish selection and I noticed they took a lot of caution with the compatibility of fish.

We spend a lot of money at this place. Our fish food alone is $40 a month. Just went in to pick up a part that retails around $8. The guy at the register rang us up for $20. I got to the car and realized he just charged $20 and typed in dry good. Went back into the store after being in my car for about 1 min to take it back in to let him know we didnt feel comfortable paying $20 for an $8 part and asked for a refund. They refused to refund the green cash I just gave him. The transaction took place 2 minutes ago and I cant get a refund? They just lost a long time customer.

Tanks look like they need a lot of maintenance and have seen some neglect. Fish didnt look great, corals not so hot.Ive considering the 10 service vans in the lot!!
