Fun! My girlfriend and I had nachos and reserved a lane to bowl in advance. We went at 5:30pm on a Saturday and the place was practically empty. They have 3 pool tables you can pay for by the hour as well as a game room. Lots of night life just outside. Parking validation is good too. Would like to go back and take the family.
Fun time! All the restaurants and bars had crazy wait times, almost 2 hrs, the night of Billy Joel concert. We tried the bowling alley and not only did they open the second bar to accommodate us, they made really good food. They were really busy too. We tried califlour crust meat pizza and liked it, Ill eat that again. The bowling alley looked fun and there is also pool tables and a dance & dj area. The bartenders were also friendly.
Love this place. The vibe is welcoming and very friendly. The workers are knowledgeable and sociable, which I prefer at any bar.I’d attended two work Christmas parties here and I do highly recommend this place for any special events.
It’s a fantastic spot to enjoy with you friends, a nice date or just to stop by with your co-workers!I had a chance of stoping by with my co-workers and celebrate, definitely a great spot! The food is great! They have some healthy items in the menu that taste wonderful!! And obviously the more normal stuff, you can play pool, bowling even hit a little arcade section with a giant Jenga! They are connected with a bar and small nightclub, honestly I was there just for the food and bowling and it was a truly enjoyable day!If you happen to be around downtown and looking for a quick bowling game, or sometime at the pool table this will be one the best spots you can’t stop at!The Music is a huge plus at Lucky Strike Phoenix, great selection and it’s not to loud so you can have a good conversation!
This was a blast. My company took Management employees out for team building. We had a blast bowling, playing pool and just having a blast with each other. Staff was very friendly and kept the appetizers coming. Plenty of drinks and water and just a real enjoyable time. Parking was the only issue because of so much construction around the whole block it seemed. The place itself was awesome.
Staff are friendly and food is good. The equipment and furniture is in need of replacement. Couches are peeling and bowling lanes needed to be reset a couple times. But overall a fun place in a great location.
Great food. Service was good. Super oiled lanes. Upscale bowling and several bars. They also have pool.
This was a fun place for our private event. The lanes were clean and functioned decently. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly. It was a bit too warm though. For low key bowling I was sweating. Also some pool tables there.
Very cozy place to hang out and bowl or play pool. The food is bar food but very tasty and better than expected. The staff is great and friendly. I was here for a work event but will be back for personal now!
It was fun. The staff was nice, food is above what youd expect at a bowling alley.
Nice place to bowl, drink and hang out with the friends. DJ, pool tables, dance floor and bowling of course right in the heart of downtown Phoenix. Not the easiest to find because the bowling sign is above CVS but the trick is its upstairs so find the stairs.
Great place for lunch and a game of pool. Very few people think to come here for lunch, so its quiet and great service. I would NEVER try to visit at night in the club atmosphere, but thats me. And Im old. Check the dress code before you go. Its strict, and its there for a reason. They want to prevent as altercations and keep it classy. I appreciate that.
The staff is amazing Marco one of the managers he gets things done and takes care of everybody here can
It was my first time going with my friends most bar tenders were ready to go and it took forever to get a drink and when I finally did it was watered down n I had to buy another one. Other than that we had a good time.
Friendly staff plus a great place to eat and drink while you bowl.
We came in on a Sunday afternoon and were treated to happy hour prices and cheap bowling. Pretty much had the place to ourselves and got great one-on-one service. Everyone had a great time.
Very nice friendly employees. had so much fun.
Super friendly service, great food to snack on and fun times with bowling and games. We appreciate the time to chill, relax and enjoy friends while having kind service to keep things rolling.
We went bowling and had a great time. The building was clean, and the lanes and equipment were well maintained. We ordered several appetizers and they were all good. The staff was friendly for the most part.
The service here is always great! The minute you walk in your greeted. The bar prices arent bad for it being downtown. The bowling lanes are nice and always clean. A little on the pricey side to bowl but a good place to fellowship.
It feels like some of the glitz and glamour have started to fade. The place is popular with groups of people who dont know downtown very well, groups of after hours business folks, birthday parties from Glendale or West Phoenix, that kind of thing. I dont foresee ever going back, it just didnt set itself apart enough for me.That said, I dont wear large watches, Calvin Klein cologne, necklaces on the outside of my shirt, or do shots, so, Im not the target market.
My work had out Christmas party here. I have to say I was very impressed. This place is big ! And beautifully decorated. Friendly staff, great food choices, and drinks. Would say the bar is a bit poorly stocked and the seating is very low to the ground which was very hard on my knees... Felt like I was doing squats all night lol there is no smoking area which was a bummer. The private party area was nice and big which was a huge plus considering we had about 50 people there. They have bowling and pool tables. The bathrooms were nice and clean and well stocked. Parking a bit hard to find but they do validate parking so that you get 1/2 off parking!!
Nice staff. Expensive and the lanes constantly require the staff to reset the pins. Unnecessarily loud music to the point you cant hear the person next to you. Ok way to kill an hour.
Great fun. Pool tables. Good drinks.
The pinsetters broke down multiple times on 6 different lanes in the facility. Ultimately, when functional lanes became available, our group was transferred to 2 lanes that worked fairly well.
Weird happy hour. They over charged my friend for her marguerita but they fixed it. We had a party deal. They would not let us have happy hour prices and the party pass thats fine but they should have said something in advance
I only gave it 5 stars because I have a group project that we named after this place.
Fun place to hang out but its pricey
Fun place, great environment for the whole family . Employees are very nice.
All that truly matters is i beat my girlfriend bowling here. After she went on and ON about being awesome. Truth be told its a neat idea could use some updating, Mainly with the furniture. Would say its a great date spot
We went here for a party and had a great time. It is a clean place with great food and fun things to do. Besides bowling you can play pool or hang out at the bar with friends. If you go down the steps there is a dance floor and another bar. This is a great place to just hang out with your friends and have a good time.
Fun. Food is good. Service is fast
Pretty standard Lucky Strike. Had trouble with the lanes, although staff did try to help. A large event was going on while we were there which minimized ball availability.
Had a blast! We ordered off the Happy Hour menu. The Waffle and Wings were interesting.Overall enjoyed everything...customer service, ambiance, food and the bowling.
Such a hidden jewel in downtown Phoenix. Loved the atmosphere and food. The cauliflower crust pizza was excellent!
Prices were steep and the food wasnt that great either. Overall fine if you dont mind spending a lot of money just for atmosphere, which admittedly WAS nice.
There is a gentlemen at the door that checks ID and checks your dress code (semi-casual). Music was pretty good. Theres a couple pool tables, seems like a nice place to hang out and relax with some friends. However, my friend and I went here to go only to go bowling. Fair warning this place has like six lanes and the wait time was going to be 45 minutes. My suggestion, RSVP before you get here, and reserve a lane.
Here on 10/20/19 server Michele was absolutely awesome love this place will be back
So much fun! By far the nicest bowling alley Ive ever been to. I definetly recommend!
Perfect on a Thursday afternoon. Not busy, good happy hour specials.
I was there as part of a team-building exercise. It was a fun time, but I think they need to pay attention to some of the details. The vinyl on a few of the couch arms was split open and there were stains on a lot of the other seating. One of the gutters in Lane 1 had a break in it, resulting in balls getting stuck - though perhaps that was their idea of motivation to not throw a gutter ball. If they take care of the place, it would really round out the experience. As it is, I won the game on my lane with an impressive 117.
Great atmosphere, could use a little cleaning though!
Cool environment, more of your bar and bowling feel.
I threw a bday celebration for my partner recently and everything turned out better than what I thought it would. Super smooth. Everyone had an great time. The food was delicious and impressive. Our server Tyler was on point! Bill three manager was hospitable and Sabrina in sales was friendly. You pay for what you get. This place is memorable!
Nice place. Courteous staff. Lots to do. However it is dark over the bowling lane so you cant see the markers down the lane.
Really fun venue, perfect for our managers outing
Just went into this place at 12:40pm to play a game and eat. The young black man at the desk was courteous when I asked him for a menu. The white elder female standing to his right asked me what I wanted before I could even see the menu. I told her, once I see the menu I will tell her, she continued to argue with me saying we have alot of different items, thats why Im asking, and she flicked her wig and walked off with an attitude. Just a nasty, rude, disgusting person she is. Her high iq couldnt tell her to allow the customer to review the menu. I put the menu down, as i dont want her to handle my food, and left. I will never spend my money at a place with staff like her. Dave n Busters offers better, friendly service than this place.
Very warm in the building and the server dropped a drink on my friend. Did not offer to get a towel or anything.
I always enjoy myself here. Sometimes I bowl, or play pool...but I love to watch the live band and have a few drinks on Sunday evenings inside Gypsy.
This place has a lot of games to play and is pretty well priced. However it was really pretty dark on the lanes which made it hard to bowl. It is definitely more of a party place then a normal bowling alley.
The atmosphere here is good - not your average bowling alley. Cost is also good for downtown Phoenix. Our lane kept shutting down or not resetting pins correctly; staff were attentive and fixed right away. Overall, a great bowling alley with a modern and upbeat feel!
What a wonderful experience! It doesnt get anymore American than combining the elegance and quality of fine dining along with bowling a few strings. Lucky Strike offered us an excellent selection of options for lunch. Grilled chicken, superb greens, appetizers, and ice cream to wrap up the meal. Over the course of 3 hours, lunch and drinks were provided and 2 very friendly strings of bowling took place. Lucky Strike takes the sport of Bowling and successfully unites an American pastime with the elegance of fine dining. If you are looking for a unique experiemce, Lucky Strike located in the heart of downtown Phoenix, AZ, will surpass all expectations!
The atmosphere is great. Friendly service and reasonably priced for our group. We celebrated the Holidays as a team here and everyone walked away with a smile. The staff is very attentive.
Cool place downtown. Food is pretty good and service is fine. Something to do downtown. Lanes were very oily.
Delicious food and fun place! Great staff! ♡
The Filet Mignon Sliders are a must! Awesome and Tasty! I didnt want to them
Bartender was amazing! The gentleman that was running the shoes and games was on point but we needed more A/c
I waited 2 hours for a lane after being told 30 minutes and still never got a lane. Ended up leaving.
Horrible service... was double charged for drinks at bar. When I spoke with manager he refused to refund or give his name.
Dirty restrooms. overpriced on everything (Happy hours price is like regular price, five bucks for a pair of socks, etc). Very slow and poor customer service with no help at all. Manager is even the worse. Lane broke after two rolls and reset button would not work. Not friendly to anyone who cannot bowl with over 9lbs ball because they dont allow you to use lighter than 9 lbs balls. They are afraid of you breaking balls. Parking is a joke to get out because the gate doesnt open automatically. A lady is running back and forth between gate and ticket machine. Strongly recommend bowlers to go to the actual bowling alleys or fancy bars for drinks.
Nice place to hang. Drinks/food a little pricey but what can you expect for downtown. Only downside was it was very warm inside which made it really uncomfortable to just enjoy our time there. Didnt stay long after 2 games because we needed air! Hopefully it was a one time issue..
Such a great atmosphere. Cool, attentive staff. Great drinks and food!
Really nice bowling alley for parties and events. Also has a very nice bar.
My family and I go bowling every once in awhile. This was the first time we visited Lucky Strike. I wasnt really impressed when we walked in. Its dark in there, the seating arrangements make it difficult because you have to climb over other bowlers just to go up to take your turn and its a lit more pricey than other bowling alleys throughout the valley. The food was pretty good.
Fun afternoon event, good food.
I little warm. I little dark to see to bowl. I had a great time. The appetizers were okThey did have a pitcher of ice water to drink some I was happy. Had a great time.
Awesome service. Food not good though. Drinks are ok. Beautiful venue.
Staff was courteous, appetizer are good. Enjoyed the music and I would highly recommend to friends and family. I really had a nice time.
Super fun. The staff is friendly and welcoming. We got a great deal on bowling and the vibe is great on a friday night
GREAT atmosphere! Typical bar fare and good too. Service is good and its attached to the Gypsy Bar, do you canjust walk through and go dancing. A lot of fun!
They have the driest lanes I’ve ever bowled on. If you spin the ball you’ll bowl poorly. They’re about vibe not lane maintenance.
Food is great especially grilledGreat staff and hostessMany games to play
The waitress made us very happy with delicious margaritas
Very accommodating and he food is excellent and reasonable.
Fun atmosphere but a little pricey for bowling and drinks.
Took packed had to wait 2 hours to play. Reserve online before
Nothing amazing really. Basically an upscale bowling alley on one side and a club on the other. The prices werent bad or anything, so its worth stopping in if you have some time to kill.
Really dope classic bowling venue in the heart of downtown Phoenix cityscape
Fun place for group events or date night. Great great service.
Its a great bowling courteous staff it is on central downtown so it is ritzy great place for a nice date night.
Its kick back bowling alley drink for adults only. No kids tight
This place is awesome its fun and very nicely kept and the staff is friendly. I come here to play pool and bowl a few games also! Great place!
I had a great time here. I would definitely recommend a visit with family and friends.
They wouldnt let me in because Im not white, totally racist. Thats the world we live in still I guess? Times have not changed since Martin Luther King JR. To clarify I was not let in because I was wearing track pants and other people were let in wearing shorts, they said track pants were not in dress code. Go figure?
The place is dead. Only about 1/2 lanes are occupied. Theyre charging $50 an hour?? No wonder the place is empty. The arcade is a disappointing mix of an air hockey game with no air pressure and basketball games with deflated balls. Maybe its more fun with more than 2 people. But its pretty stinky for a date night.
Good atmosphere, fun for groups. Food is mediocre at best. If you enjoy bowling, great alternative to normal cheesey bowling alleys.
Cool vibe, great food and music. Service is excellent.
A real nice place I would love to have my birthday party there real fancy theres like five bars in there right next door to the Gypsy Bar bartenders are really nice the mixed drinks are delicious too
Super fun spot with the family
Happy hour got totally redone & the prices suck..... Not happy hour prices. Bring back old hai happy hour!
Food was good. They had pool tables and a bowling alley. Great place to hang out.
Where to start? DO NOT BOWL HERE. The ball curves right, even when you throw a curve. I scored 34......My average is 160. Their house balls are all chipped like the place must be 50 years old... What a waste of money!!On an opposite note, the wait staff was very attentive and friendly. The place is cool. Go here for anything but bowling and youll probably have a great time!
This was the venue for our conference (PLDI 2019) and it was woefully inadequate. One table of food for hundreds of people. Waited 1:15 to get to the front of the line and most of it had run out. Too crowded. They must overestimate how many people they can host.
