Affordable and easy to get onto the course on short notice. Hole variability was nice and kept things fresh. Forward tee boxes were almost always sloped or uneven unlike the middle and back tees. With more ground maintenance heading into the winter I expect this course to shine again

Friendly, respectable staff, carts were in good condition, and really reasonable prices. The course is not in the best shape, but plays well.

Course is a typical dog track but right now it’s unplayable. It’s all burned up, as are the greens.What’s with the piles of sand in the middle of the green?They also charge extra for each cart, despite the fact that covid numbers are still very high here. A course that puts $16 above public safety is a course that should go out of business.It’s also a terrible layout. Tons of short gimmicky holes, and awful sand in bunkers. Plus the 2 groups in front of us were mega slow and no Marshall ever spoke with them. A 2 hour and 26 minute back nine.My buddy scored a $33 price, which is fair this time of the year, but add $16 for a cart if you’re trying to stay safe and it’s not worth it at all.

Good course. Used to be in better shape about 12 years ago. I still enjoyed my time here so i will be back.

Pretty neat little course. Friendly staff and frequent drink cart opportunities during play. It was worth playing the 18 even though it was 115°f. My only real criticism is that there are no easily seen yardage markers anywhere. Youre very lucky if you might see a small flat buried one in the grass but thats your only chance. Great price point!

The golf course was nice. 1st time playing there. Staff was courteous. Bathrooms were clean. Small shop, not a lot golf stuff to buy. Drink cart girl was superb and was fun to talk with.

Neighborhood golf course with driving range, beverage car, and chipping/putting practice greens. Prices are good compared to other courses. Good layout where youll use all clubs in your bag and fun for all skill levels. Staff are friendly.Course needs work on tee boxes and fairways but greens are in good shape right now.

Worst experience at a golf course ever. I know the course isn’t well-kept they do not have good greens and their practice facility is a joke but I booked anyway. But they are so disorganized I waited 45 minutes to play one hole as a single in the middle of foursomes because there wasn’t starter I kept asking who I was paired with and apparently there was a twosome that requested to play by themselves and they let them so they turned one teatime into Three by sending out a single the twosome and then me as a single. This was the last chance I had to play golf for two weeks and I’m at home and hour after my teatime. They offered to compensate with a free round of golf but they’ve already ruined this day I’m not gonna let them ruin another.

No safety measures what so ever! Refused to give me my own cart and lied about having a big tournament as the reason. After playing 18 holes it starts to dawn on us that there was no crowd, no tournament, no beverage cart service, no masks, no barrier at the bar, still taking cash. The course is pure disarray. On a tee box I couldnt get a plastic tee to go into the dirt ground cause there was no grass to tee off. Businesses like you are part of the problem with our covid spikes. Enjoy the citys new mandate for masks people. Two stars only because a couple social interactions were polite and water for sale was inexpensive. #maskuparizona

Will never be back!!!!!First off I brought my son who is 5 years old, they were going to charge me for 2 golfers. Ive brought my son to over 100 courses. Typically the top dollar courses charge a rider fee rightfully so, they are actually making money and charge a premium to be there. Ahwatukee Country Club is the complete opposite of this! The course was dead have pictures to prove it. It was $20 to play they charge me $15 for my son. If I had known this I would have placed a much nicer course. Rob up at the pro shop was flat out rude and was more then ok with me walking way and never showing back up. I will never return the course its a dog track even at its best condition.

Played here for 1st time in several years as reviews seem to have gotten better. Fairways and bunkers in reasonable shape but that was pretty much it. I know rough is rough, but anything outside of the fairways was lousy with branches, uneven patches and debris all over the place. Many of the tees really need to be redone. Most needed to be cut. Short par 4 (15? 16?) was using temporary white tees. All the greens were uneven and seem to have been infiltrated with a fungus as there was a blue green that appears to have been applied. Would have given it one star except that I really do like the layout of the course. Its an older course and not long (6600 ish yards from the back tees) but its a good test with some nice holes. Shame the course is not in better shape. Paid $54 for 2 people with a golf coupon. Would not pay any more to play here.

Staff was very nice, lunch was good, beer was cold, and the groupon deal I had was very very cheap so it saved 3 stars considering I guess I got what I paid for. But they were very overbooked and ran out of carts. We didnt get to start until 40 min past our tee time. And every hole was a wait on the several groups stacked up in front of us.

Very convenient & easy to get to. Nice pro shop and restaurant. The course conditions were horrible, but for the price, what do we expect? Never seen a golf course that was so poorly maintained. The views of South Mountain were nice.

It has older trees and grass, no desert. Some of the trees are dying and being removed but this is opening up the fairways more. I like playing here!

Friday Fish Fry was excellent! Light cornmeal breading. Not greasy. Coleslaw very flavorful. Choice of baked potato, french fries or sweet potato fries

Dont bring your kid to ride with you.. they will charge riding together... so sad...even no one else is playing golf at the course.

I liked the layout, lots of twists and turns you had to navigate. Old style design with trees, water hazards, bunkers. Condition might have been a bit sketchy based on other players reactions, but that is golf! You play the holes, play the course...then enjoy a beer after!

Such a POORLY kept course. Thick bushes of weeds everywhere. You can hit the ball straight and still lose it. There is nothing enjoyable about that. Will never golf here again

Friend and I played at municipal course in the morning ahwatukee in afternoon. Municipal courses greens and fairways were in much better shape. Made us play with strangers, pace was ungodly fast could not enjoy course. And last call was 2 for beer girl. Will not play here again.

Where to begin? First, our tee time was scheduled for 10:40 and we called around 8:30 to ask about the frost delay and were told our tee time would be 12:37? Having played golf in the valley for 20 years, I have never heard of a 2 hour delay but ok. Arrive at the course at noon to find virtually parking, but we were able to squeeze into a spot by the tennis courts. At the bag drop, the starter said our tee time would be 12:15, so we headed to the pro shop to check in. Three employees working behind the desk, two of which tried to pass us off for check in. Finally an older gentleman helped us and was very confused about our tee time. We told him we called in the morning and were told 12:37 so we arrived at noon. Instead of figuring it out, we as the customers turned into the bad people and this guy went on a 2 minute tirade about how we should have still showed up at 10:40. Then he tried to get us to pay again even though we prepaid on Golfnow. I logged in and showed him proof of payment on my phone and magically he goes, Oh I see it here now, pointing to his computer. Then it took and additional 2 minutes of clicking around on the computer to print us a receipt, no mention of when we would be teeing off. Now Im sitting here in the cart, and got paired with a twosome whose original tee time was 11:30. Never playing at this goat farm again.

Nice course, challenging, great price, good hotdogs!

Nice, but not special, service was good. Do not drink house wine, it is awful. Pay for better drinks. Happy hour eats were good but they should add one healthy option like a salad or veggie plate with hummus.

It was one of the last days of the season when we played. So it was a little dry and rough. But the price was great given the time of year.

Golf course needs work... pretty rough

Its a decent course that is priced right, especially during the winter months when many courses are over $70. It has been is my HOME COURSE this winter.

This is an awesome golf club. The greens are in great shape as are the fairways. The players assistant is friendly, helpful and professional. The check in was fast and courteous. The fellow that checked us in was very friendly and made us feel welcome. All in all I would recommend this course to anyone wanting to enjoy a round of golf.

Do not base anything on my 5 stars.... I dont actually go here, i just ride my OneWheel through the golf courses at night. But for that, Its epic.... and dont worry, its literally a single GOLF CART TIRE! In the middle of a self balancing skate board... so rest assured Im not doing any harm to the courses. ;)

Great value for Taco Tuesday - the service was great, tacos were very good, as well, but the rice was crunchy, like it was left out overnight and reheated or had been sitting out under a light. I’d give it another shot - if they can make greasy rice, it’s well worth it.

We only have 2 courses left in Ahwatukee but this one still has some challenge to it and it is usually reasonably priced.

Its a good course for the price

I know only of today’s Easter Parade. I loved the energy of community and renewal at this well-organized event. I arrived early to meet and visit with entries including AZ Senator, Sean Bowie and AZ District 18 House Representative, Jennifer Jermaine. So much talent and enthusiasm. This is possibly the most unmaintained Golf Course. If I could give it negative stars I certainly would.

Shotgun start due to the Easter parade which was interesting as it wasnt a tournament. I guess they will be trying that out for the summer.bPlay was fairly slow at first but picked up. Fairways were in great shape. Greens however were pretty beat up and dead spots need some attention. Holes arent posted either..kinda nice to see what hole youre on with a picture being a country club and all. Overall, not too bad but definitely not worth the $100+ for my wife and I.

This golf course is good. I would put it in the middle of the pack. Well kept and friendly staff makes it a good place to play. Also very playable for the average golfer. Low handicappers probably wont find it challenging enough.

I cant thank Arlene Flynn enough for hosting the boys from the foster group homes. She invited everyone for a lesson, outfitted them with clubs to use on the driving range and arranged a putting contest! The kids enjoyed a tasty lunch of cheeseburgers and fries in the restaurant after golf. Arlene went above and beyond for our community and we appreciate it very much!

Booked through Golf Now for $24.00. Fairways were good, although I spent most of my time on the sidelines. Greens were nice and smoothe. Overall, good course.

Great customer service. Course in decent shape. Challenges for every level but very playable. There ran out of golf carts and were behind on tee times. Real good experience. I would go back.

Course is a bit rough but given time if year it was okay. Took nearly 5hrs to complete round though. They were allowing people to sendcthemselves out.

Ahwatukee Country Club was in very good shape. Our tee time was 9 a.m. The fairways and greens were damp but not saturated. The greens look really good but were slow, it seemed that you had to putt past the hole 1to2 ft just to get to the hole.

We played here after the rain and the course was not up to any particular. Grounds were hard and weeds every where. No discount what do ever for veterans, thats sad. Houses lined the course the whole way.I will never play here again. The club house, Time to update the place. Smells old too....

Nice Golf Course great service. I dropped my Gloves prior to starting my round. When I finished playing they handed my Gloves to me. Really Nice People.

Sadly the course is not being taken care of. Rumor has it that the owner is probably going to sell it. It looks neglected. So sad that a country club course is in this condition.

Taco tuesday my favotite

This place is a good golf course, has to be 4 people and it was just me and my pop. We got paired up with 2 amazing people part of Arizona. We golfed this course, and it was plenty challenging! Never lost my ball, but my pop lost like 10 lol. Very good course for a fair price! Wouldnt mind coming back here again!

I have played this course several times and regret playing it every time. The reason I have gone back is because the layout is great and its very convenient for me. I they were able to spend money on maintaining the greens to an acceptable speed and clean up the edges of the course it could be great but with current ownership I dont see that happening. If I could by the course and fix it, I would.

Just played. Please put the cups in the better parts of the green and the tee on the green parts of the tee box. Makes no sense that I was putting on the worst parts of the green and hitting off sand on the tee when there are perfectly good green areas. Obviously going to play again as I play here every week I just hope youll consider my suggestion.

The worst kept golf course in Phoenix. They should not charge green fees and refund all players at this time. Fairways were bare, muddy and horrible. They should remove the words country club and change it to terrible Municipal course.

Last time I played here we had four generations of Falk men out on the course.Great grandpa was so old we had to point him to where the hole was.I hope one day to return and play a round with my son and enjoy a good brunch served by their beautiful wait staff.The only complaints I have about the course:1. Houses line the course, the entire way. Not a big deal as the course difficulty is so low you could bring just about anyone on and theyll do fine, just isnt as aesthetically pleasing as courses I prefer.2. A lot of slow play. Youd be lucky if you didnt end up stuck behind two to three groups and joining up just to make play faster.

I found Ahwatukee Country Club to be a good value. People were very friendly and helpful. The greens were a little rough the day I went, but overall its a solid course with some good variation.

To many groups of 5 played only 4 holes took 2 and half hours quit on hole 5 when back guy outside was so nice the club cleaner said not only us but 15 other people left went in to speak with pro shop lady she said no big deal the only group of 5 out there was 1 one the course had no problem with five somes on course acted like since we only golf their 2 to 3 times a month should have known it would get backed up with them not putting twos together for a foursome and to think we USED to enjoy golfing their

This course has some bad ratings but I think people are just picky the layout is awesome every staff member very nice treated great all day its faced its challenges in recent years but it was very playable the greens a little bumpy but rolled true and quick pace was good the neighborhood has voted to keep it a golf course and in time it will return to its former glory but in no way is it a dump playing next weekend too. Soon to be one of my regular stops!

Havent played this course for a few years and thought we would try it again. Greens looked dry and were slow. Really not worth $50 per person on Tee Off.

The staff there are awesome! Always kind and helpful. Im on the practice plan here and they always treat you very nice not like club west. The course layout is great for all levels and the layout is a lot of fun especially the back nine. One of my favorite places to come.

I enjoyed playing here. The club house and restaurant are large with good food and beverage selections. The course is kept in great condition and the mature trees provide some interesting shot selections. It lacks some of the fancy amenities a top notch course would have but for the money, its got everything you need for a good day of golf.

Nice course with some challenging, but fair holes. It is usually in good condition. A larger practice green would be nice. Prices can get a bit high for this kind of course in peak season, but off-season prices are very good.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the conditions here today. I played here back in February and was terribly disappointed by what looked like an old, worn course that was really showing its age. Today was a total turn-around. The course seemed to be well maintained, fairways and greens are in great shape, especially considering that they’re aa couple weeks out from overseeding for winter. And greens fees after 10am we’re just $15, so an inexpensive round, too.My wife and I had a great time, and look forward to coming back more frequently.

Friday Fish Fry. Need reservation after 5:30. Not advertised that you need reservation. First time we went was told a 45 minute wait. We left and went the following week. We got there 15 minutes early and could see empty tables for 4, but told we had to wait until 6 when we had a reservation.Hostess should not be a hostess, not personable with customers.

Good place to hit the driving range.

This course isnt bad! Its fairly well maintained, as long as you stay near the fairway. Sand traps arent too punishing, but some of the tree placement is questionable, due to the fact that it blocks your drive just because it hasnt been trimmed. For the price its definitely worth trying out, especially in the summer.

Very poorly maintained greens.

The green fees were reasonable for this time of year but course condition was not good. Greens were lumpy and inconsistent fairways were very mediocre.

City of Phoenix, tsk, tsk! We are a winter destination for golfers and you cant keep this golf course up! The economy is going great! This course has lots of potential! Staff is always great though!
