Amazing spot to learn to skate for all levels! I’ve been skating since I was a kid, but never had the guts to Ollie or ride half pipes. Within my first 10 mins of a private lesson with Brett, I landed an Ollie that was 27 years in the making! One of the best feelings ever. Great for kids, but also really great for adults who want to learn or develop their abilities. Will definitely be back soon

Love this place just wish they were closer. Second time here and the staff was super friendly. Its a real tight-knit community vibe you get when youre there. I encourage you to check out there website to learn more about the work that they do locally. The instructors Brett and Sam were both awesome! Very encouraging, knowledgeable and expressed confidence in us. Yui - is awesome as well.

This is a place to skateboard or to learn how to skateboard. The instructors are the best. The owners are awesome. All very safe and kid friendly.

Took my kids 10 and 8 to a beginner class, they gained some decent basics. We will go back to work on their skills.

I learned the basics in one lesson with Brett and had a blast! I have never been on a skateboard before but by the end of the lesson I felt pretty comfortable. I highly recommend this place to learn to skateboard for any age!

In life there are people that completely accept the routine and are ok with the mediocre. For myself, I have always preferred to get the most out of life & I genuinely live for the moments in life that take your breath away. Growing up around skateboarding & skaters for the most of my existence, I always wished for one of my kids to experience that type of family & fun that I had in the 90’s/ early 00’s. My youngest son showed me the most promise in this regard & displayed a natural talent for skateboarding so it was inevitable that I Googled “skate camps.” The legit only one I found in my area was Skate the Foundry & whether it was divine intervention or not, it was for sure one of the best things that has happened for my son. Upon going there & even leading up to my son’s first day, we were treated like fam & any questions we had were immediately responded to. My son found the only thing he has never wanted to give up on & literally after his FIRST day there came home & would not stop talking about this place or Yui & Brett. I’m overly cautious as to whom I ever trust with my kids. That concern subsided within moments of speaking to them. I vibed with them big & the energy that this entire place has. The kindness, the selflessness, the passion that they have for skating & the youth of Philly & the surrounding areas is literally unparalleled. Brett & Yui literally LIVE the foundry & it’s evident by the success that walks in & out of their door. My son learned things on his first day that I would have expected to be accomplished in two weeks & after camp he was a million times more confident as a person & skater. He’s literally nonstop begging me to take him to youth sessions there every single day since. I feel like I’m speaking with old friends when I’m there & it’s the vibe I’ve always gotten with skating. To me it felt like taking a step back into my favorite memories in 1998. As longwinded as this is, I say all that to say this: I could not be more happy for finding this place & grateful to everyone here & for the personal sacrifices that I know they make to ensure that every need is met & you get the most out of your experience here. They welcome you with open arms & go over and beyond to make you and/or your kid feel comfortable & confident. These are things that are carried throughout lifetimes. I’ve been all over, lived all over, met tons of people but the rarity of finding individuals that possess this level of genuine all around goodness, kindness, and realness is noteworthy. Skate the Foundry has restored my faith in humanity & my hopes for our future generation of skaters. Thanks to Brett & Yui -and everyone there- you guys are legit making it happen.

SKATE THE FOUNDRY is an amazing venue. Its distress and feels true to the authenticity of skate culture. On January 26th 2019 they are having an event called @FORKICKS_ (Instagram). They are giving away a pair of Purple Lobster SBs to the skater that can put 4 wheels on the skateboard in the fastest time. Its a Late Night Skate Party. All Ages. We love that they do cool events like this for the skating community. You should forsure check this place out!.
