Awesome park for outdoor workouts wish they had this in every playground in philly they got some but they always forget the pull up bars.

Very nice place for neighborhood families to play. Clean and vibrant. I would love to see more inter city establishments like this. Federal funding is a must for our youth. Give them hope and safe environment.

The Rec Leader (Mr. Kenn) is one of the most dedicated people Ive ever met! He really does above and beyond to ensure that the neighborhood children, youth, adults and visitors have a pleasant experience. The surrounding neighborhood is a bit rough, but Mr. Kenn takes exceptional care of this Rec Center.

Great place I go skating here when I dont go to the gym

Its a very nice park, but the people there unfortunately dont know how to act. We had a football game and it was cancelled because the home team kicked the referee s car! Also the bathrooms were absolutely DISGUSTING!!!

I attended the holiday community dinner. This is a place brimming with twentieth century sports history!

Our church had a barbecue at Shepherd park. We had 2 large pavilions, very large field for a bounce house and for the children to play games. We had music because the pavilion has electricity. Theres also a pool. We cooked on our grills, tables were pervided, we all had a great time.

This is a good place to come play basketball or bring your kids to play on the playground. They also have a program on Saturday and Sunday for kids 8 and up to practice basketball with a professional coach.

The playground is ok my child loves to play here...i do wish there was a cleaning crew for the grounds not too much trash but as a parent i would like cleaner play areas. The staff that i have come across seem nice and willing to help when needed

Great park!!

Just used the outdoor space so cant say anything about inside the center, but the outdoor park is great. I go there at night and feel safe because its right across from a septa depot and very well lite. Has a baseball diamond and a football field for games. Also has outdoor track and a pool, but didnt use those as they were closed by time I went there around 8pm.

A great place to take up boxing lesson and train for one. I myself am just learning how to work my footwork, and the people there are so helpful in showing me the ropes.

The indoor camp ran by Ms. Tina is excellent.

I dropped off folks for a Lyft ride.

Shepard Recreation Center is a very familiar place for me. I grew up in the vicinity as a child. My son played and now coachs the little league football team there. So u will always return and support this recreation center. Good for the overall development of our children in the neighborhood. Please support the recreational center.

Not the most updated facility but the playground is great.

I took my youngest granddaughter Hajar whose 9 for a dip and met someone I hadnt seen in 38years or so. We were glad to see one another

I was a life gaurd there also my father use to train boxers there and also trained me his daughter and others in the community

Place for kids has swings outdoor basketball court and inside basketball large outdoor areas for running around and sitting to enjoy air has swimming pool and sprinkler systems outdoor roller skating baseball softball area.

We enjoy their youth soccer league. It has helped my son stay active and develop positive self esteem! Great place for our community.

Needs a lot of ground keeping, city should try doing more for this center. Its been a staple of the community for along time.

Grew up at this center years ago...it is BETTER THAN EVER... KUDOS TO THE COMMUNITY. The POP UP is why I came to day .It was GREAT..!

I was born and raised at this recreation center, now I have been working there for 18 years coaching and mentoring

I was here with grandson for outdoor picnic and music.there was rollerskating and bouncies for the kids and playground equipment. It was a good time for both of us.

Basketball training is good.

This recreation center has almost everything it had 45 years ago when I was a kid it definitely needs new restrooms in there, its in need of remodeling and repair

I train and workout here its s great family orantained style gym thats great for all ages

Large recreation area that provides a lot of space for various sports and activities. A lot of teenagers hang there but is pretty safe.

There is a NEW looking cardio/calisthenic area, near what appears to be a single lane 200 meter track. I know how Im spending my down time!

Work across the street at the Callowhill Depot for Septa. Watch young men practice & play their hearts out for a chance on their path to become pro ball players. Theyre trying real hard also to get out of a very poor neighborhood that can be a war zone. God bless these kids...

Shepherd Recreation Center has a ton of activities for children in the community, football, cheerleading, boxing, basketball, tumbling, theater group, a swimming and playground sprinklers, the building is old and run down, bathrooms need repairs, the city really should revitalize this site seeing as how they service so many children
