We visited the Palumbo playground with relatives including 2 children, and they happily spent an hour here. Loved that there were separate jungle gyms for preschool and elementary-age kids. The turtle sculpture is a favorite for photos and hangouts. The spongy playground cover saved the day, when the little guy took a tumble off the twirly pole. On an average day, youll see the preschoolers in mornings, afterschool activities, and families relaxing in early evenings and weekends.

Great playground for long distance running, basketball and football. Theres even a kids playground with monkey bars, slides and swings. Overall great playground to visit.

Whoever is the male receptionist he is extremely rude and should not be working in such work setting.

Parking hard to find, but its South Philly get use to it ! Nice rec. center for basketball even do seating is cement steps 2 to be exact i think it is pretty cool old school !

Broad range of skill levels at the basketball court and a generally friendly, accepting group. Play can reach very high levels. Baseball diamond usually used by organized mens teams. Drink vending machine inside, playground for kids, lights in evenings, and soccer fields. Great park.

This is a great place, especially for kidsThey have great indoor facilities. But my grandson is a toddler.The playground is perfect for himSupported baby swings, sliding board perfect for a toddler. Safe rubberized ground to run on.Just a great place.

Very nice, well kept field. Lots of activities, and they stay open tonight. The only complaint would be that sometimes the basketball games result in a lot of loud profanity, but thats the competitive nature of it and besides the facility offers indoor basketball which is cool.Also the community center, for example it is a PLACE WHERE PEOPLE VOTE on elections, this is a crucial block to this part of Bella Vista.

Great place for children of all ages

I love this playground for its convenience in location and the kids enjoy it, but hate that its not open until 1:30 or 2 (except for the summer). And also that theres no consistency on whether the gates are open or you have to walk through the building.

Great neighborhood playground and rec center. Lots of programs from soccer clubs to after school programs and summer camps. Wonderful resource for the community.

Palumbo may not have all of the equipment that other nearby playgrounds have, but with a giant field include baseball diamond, a two court outdoor basketball area, and a closed in younger kids playground, palumbo is open ended play for a range of ages. One of my favorite places to throw a ball with one child while the others run themsemves in circles.

It is in a lovely neighborhood and has a nice park and basketball court for kids.
