Great place pool is big fields for football and baseball and soccer and huge basketball court I would recommend going here or letting your kids go and luches too

We didnt access the facility, we went to their backgrounds park. And while I were there with my two grandchildren.There were a lot of decent and caring parents there. On the field with their little lead football teams.We set up a friendly environment for our children, individually.Kids rule!

The place looks great. Once broke my arm there, the basket-ball Court needs some work. Concerned for my friends who play there. Its all concrete and they could break something there. Otherwise. Great place to hang out. Recommend!

I grew up there...always a pleasure

Ever since they redid this place, its beautiful! I live just two blocks away so I take my 3 year old son here just about every day, weather permitting. I love that the ground is made of soft foam instead of mulch. The playground is new and safe. Theres a small one and a larger one. Theres a good amount of sitting area. My only complaint is that they only have baby swings and not ones for older kids. I cant wait until summer to try out their pool.

It is a fun place to go after school or after anything that you have previously done that day and get off some steam by playing basketball/baseball or if you have kids they also have a really nice playground very up to date. But my one problem is that it gets very crowded.

Great place to learn fundamental basketball. Coach Howie treats u like family. Very well kept facility.

Between the gym always being booked and the light going out by 9pm. Its not the place to go if you get off late and are looking to pick up a few game.

Great place for kids. Always clean

Fun place to bring kids. Huge field for anything you can think to do, mostly used for sports. Basketball court and pool, pretty popular. Not much protection from the heat, as most of it is in the sun, but otherwise definitely a great place.

I love Murphy Rec center because they keep the pool very clean and they dont allow horseplay. I also like they only allow a certain people count. Its the best pool in South Philly.

My son loves it

They recently re did this park and it is really nice. Raised the rent by $300 on the blocks around it so it did alot for the neighborhood. I do not understand why there is no locker room. Kids can not use the bathroom from the poll so you know where they are going to the bathroom. There is a great staff. One of the best life guards ever but the lack of locker room ruins it. Also the way the field is faced is so awkward and people let their dogs poop all over the field. There should be more fines maybe cameras to prevent that. Clean up the Whitman neighborhood!! For the kids!!

Small play area (slide, climbing net, bucket swings) with soft rubber floor tho avoid hard falls, large field to run in and play ball, public pool, havent been inside the rec center but saw people coming out with basketballs. The location is not the safest so Id suggest going early. Close to shopping.

Wasted my time because they couldnt be bothered to post online that a swim meet was taking place. No website, and a phone number that is disconnected. Its 2018, this is ridiculous. Get it together.

This is a local public Recreation Center has a fairly recently refurbished inside basketball court has meeting rooms for groups is outdoor court for basketball combination football softball Little League field and brand new state-of-the-art play area for young children during the summertime as a nice swimming pool that includes swimming lessons and swim team and a pretty good stuff for the pool

Field was disgrace. Mud puddles everywhere half of grass is gone from the people who come to play soccer.

Always have fun there

Has alot to offer. One of the cleanest public swimming pools. Inside and outside basketball courts, fooltball, baseball, and soccer field. Also has gym a little gym inside and is free to use. The playground area really needs to be updated, the mats are run down and the metal bars on the swings are rusty. It also is kind of dirty with the swings are.UPDATE: They rebuilt the playground, pics to come!

Great indoor basketball court and they do a lot of summer programs for the kids.

Its a cool environment and fun place to hang out at with plenty of activities to attend to!...great place!
