This resort is home to tons of friendly people. They offer multiple means of entertainment like swimming,hot tubbing,games and group activities. So much fun!

The park has a lot of residents full/part time who always make everyone feel welcomed. Park managers have an open door policy, they trying to maintain the grounds and amenities. Staff is friendly and willing to help out.

Well groomed, Friendly and full of fun things to do outside especially now during the Pandemic.

Great location. Well manicured. Nice people. Great management. Great amenities. We were here to visit family in Pharr. The park is very secure, but they made it easy for us to come and go. We have stayed here several times in our Motorhome. Plenty of available sites. They also have some good deals on permanent mobile and modular homes for sale.

Beware: My late parents lived there and liked it but after mom passed and dad got sick they cleaned him out! They took the big house and everything in it, right down to my stuffed animal and home movies. He wasn’t paid, they just had it hauled off. The manager responsible was an ex-cop, you know the type. Stay close to your kids, it’s better.

Awesome winter retreat for northerners and retirees

Tropic star is a good resort with many sites available and many activities. it is a little more expensive than some parks but maybe worth the price.

I stayed at this resort about a month in December. The residents and employees are all outstanding! The facilities are well kept up. The location is great. Near the airport, mall, grocery store across the street. Most of the residents are retired and very friendly. They have a lot of events. The pool and hot tub pools are fantastic. The weather wasnt quite as warm as I would have liked. They are pet friendly in that there are 2 main areas to walk them as well as a dog park. Most of the rv spots were empty so there was plenty of room. This is more of a place to spend the winter than to stay for a couple of nights. Ill definitely return to avoid winter in the future. My only recommendation would be to become more digital. Their events are all on bulletin boards. I think they should allow drinks in the pool hall but it is their pool hall:-)

Visiting my family is a nightmare because of the workers here. I get stopping at first at the box at the gate. But having to stop again when I leave and again when I enter. Whatever thats just a brush off my shoulder. But when Im followed all over the park by their police its very insulting. Ive been visiting family here at least once a month. Leave me alone Tropic Star.

We live here 5 months of the year in the fall and winter. This is our 3 year in the park and with the new improvements, it is a great place to live.

Tropic Star is more a gated Community than just a resort. People from all over America and Canada buy or bring a home or RV and winter here. Theres a Clubhouse at the centre of the park where dances, bingo, church services, presentations and other activities are offered almost daily. They have a big, beautiful pool and hot tub, a woodshop, a garden club... The front gate has a person on duty always making sure residents feel safe. Orange, grapefruit and lemon trees are in almost every yard and in common areas. The people are friendly and welcoming and the staff is awesome. I love this place.

I love this Tropic Star RV Resort and the people. I have very Good and Loving friends there its a Bueatiful Place.

We have looked at several campgrounds in Texas, planning to settle down for 2 or 3 months next year. Of all the RV Resorts & campgrounds we have visited, this is our favorite. Unless we find one we like better, this will be our winter home next year. In addition to all the activities provided, we like the proximity to shopping: it is an easy bicycle ride to a big grocery store, a pharmacy, and several restaurants.

So many fun activities from square, round and ballroom dancing to sewing quilts in the sewing room, exercising in the pool or just enjoying shows brought directly to our ballroom. Such a friendly and welcoming park. Lots of good food served by volunteers in our dining room. Close to shopping and medical facilities.

Very clean and friendly community. Their WiFi is a work in progress, well below the standard quality one would find at a low cost motel. They have a great location and many activities for the guests.

I have friends that life in this RV Resort and the place looks awesome beautiful very nice and calm!

Square danced with Joe saltel. The hall is big, nice wood floors and great sound system. Never entered the camp grounds.
