It is a nice course with good scenery. Pretty forgiving. A couple of the fairways were really dried and cracked. They could use some irrigation. Also it would be nice to have consistent 150 and 100 yard markings for the greens. Some of the greens were in really rough condition and they were inconsistent with some being much longer than others. Overall though it was a good course and a reasonable price. Friendly bar staff and cart girl.

Have golfed here a few times over the past month or so. I found the course to be in really nice condition. Everyone I encountered was very friendly and helpful. Very scenic course, challenging but not too difficult. After golfing many courses west of the city, I find myself coming back here for the friendly staff and quality of the course.

Overall a very nice venue! My husband and I had our wedding reception there on August 1st. They allowed us to go in the day before and set up the venue, and the team there was super responsive and flexible. We did have a food tasting before the big day, and picked out the food, and unfortunately one of the items that we picked was not in our buffet. We had also upgraded the beer package for the bar and some of the beers were not on hand the day of. Minus those few issues, everything went smoothly!

The pro shop and outside staff are always the most friendly and helpful in the area.The greens are in questionable shape right now, but are definitely improving from 3 weeks ago. Fairways and roughs are always in great shape.The range is decent and serves its purpose. As a long ball hitter, though, it does not suit my game given the shortness of it.The course itself has a TON of water and can be a large challenge if you aren’t hitting it straight.I’ve had one unfortunate time where a league was sent out while I was still in the middle of my round. I ended up playing those 9 holes in 2.75 hours as a single riding.The overbooking here seems to be an issue here as I’ve heard similar stories from buddies as well.Overall a decent course with fantastic staff.

Really fun track. Played here on golf buddy trip to Erin Hills and glad we found this course. Will be back.

We held a golf outing there. The staff was very helpful. The course was nice. Lots of wild game to see when youre out and about. And the catered food was excellent.

Course was in nice shape. The reason for the 1 star review was when we checked in at the pro shop the person behind the counter was not wearing a mask. Myself and my playing partner were wearing masks as we should because it is now law that you must do so when indoors. Why aren’t staff wearing them? Very disappointing.

The course was pretty nice and mostly taken care of. It was a challenging course. Staff were good and kept the pace of play going. My only problem was the number of greens being worked on yet...looks like they are being worked on so would have rated higher if the putting greens were all in order.

I will amend my previous response as I was upset at how things ended. Played in the Big cup outing this past Friday. The course was in decent condition. The food was great and the appetizers after. We did have a good time as a group but would have liked to win something more. We do Broadlands every year and the winner gets $100 each guy to the pro shop. We didnt see the cart girl until our 7th hole. The staff was all super nice though and did a great job. Not a bad outing at all overall but would rather pay the same or a little more and play a course in slightly better shape with more to win. Also would like to know the prize beforehand. But it was ran very well for the average golfer looking to have a good time and eat and drink.

Beautiful place for wedding n reception only thing is they couldve told the golfers to skip the hole that we were in front of instead of having strangers hitting golf balls directly behind the bride n groom saying their vows!

Course was “meh” but the real kicker is when my group (4 women) were told after we were done golfing by the ranger that if we’d like to come back we need to keep pace. We finished on time for 9 holes and waited for the group in front of us the whole time. Don’t go if you can’t complete 9 in less than 2 hrs. And apparently don’t go with a group of women. Surely wouldn’t have happened if we were a group of guys (my golfing fanatic husband told me that). Bummed to end a round of golf that way!

Tee boxes were dried out and not even, The greens were one of the worst ive ever played on in my life, They were slow and your ball would bounce.

Just finished playing 18 here with my brother. Course is in rough shape but they have dealt with a lot of rain so I totally get it. The clubhouse staff, maintenance staff, and bar staff were all very kind. The main issue we had was with the head golf pro Garrett Mack. My brother and I got to the putting green 5 min before we were scheduled to tee off. Garrett and his 3 friends snuck out in front of us right when we were supposed to tee off. We knew he was the head pro which is a very bad look. To make matters worse we heard him cussing at a maintenance worker on the course during play. We were right behind them for a good 8 holes and they never once offered to let us play through even though they stole our tee time. When we got right next to them and saw them waiting we asked if we should play through very politely. He was short and very rude and drove away. When we got on the tee they yelled at us from the green to hurry up and play through like we were some huge inconvenience. When we got up to the green we thanked them for waiting and they completely ignored us. Absolutely horrible behavior from the head golf pro. He deserves to be called out for unacceptable behavior.

Greens could use some attention this year

Very pretty venue for a wedding but very poor food service. Our dear friends likely paid a fortune but we did not get a decent amount of food, coffee or dessert. Food was ok at best. Lovely surroundings.

If I could give them a 6 star rating, I would. We had our wedding reception at Western Lakes on September 1, 2018 and everything was amazing. Due to a miscommunication with a guest on our end, we didnt have a spot for them to sit and Chris and Sara took care of it, and as the bride, I didnt even know anything happened until my mother in law told me 2 weeks after the wedding. They set up the tables perfectly, the food was to die for, and their communication was excellent throughout the planning process. I am so glad we had our reception here, and highly recommend it to anyone!

Driving range was in horrible shape. Multiple greens had more sand than grass. Cheap rates. You get what you pay for.

Nice course and better prices than Naga Waukee. Has an ok driving range. Can be hard to get a tee time due to events, but usually not a problem of youre early. Single golfer tee times are not taken online, so you have to show up and hope for the best.

Ive been there twice recently. The first time we had the ranger follow our foursome the entire back nine, just park and watch every swing we took. We had no idea why as we were waiting on most holes to hit, and finished our 18 in under 4 hrs. They came across as extremely arrogant for an average local golf course. Second time we had a group of 4 different foursomes. The average handicap in each foursome was probably a combined 3 for reference on the experience of each golfer. We were again rushed off the first tee, actually threatened to be skipped if we didnt tee off immediately, only to get to the 2nd tee box where we were the 4th group waiting. It was ridiculous, they should have been slowing people down off 1 but instead were doing the exact opposite and it took over 5 hours to finish 18. The only way I can describe this place is AMATEUR HOUR with a heavy dose of arrogance. As an avid local golfer, there are soooooo many better options in the area, dont waste your time & money.

I primarily have been there for special events such as golf outings and wedding receptions. The food is Catered from the outside, and generally good. Staff seems friendly.The the banquet sesting/service area is somewhat difficult for a large group, due to the room being long and narrow . There is one main bar at the far west end. Washrooms are limited for large groups.

Very pretty scenery and the venue was wonderful! Only downside was that the servers rushed taking plates during dinner and some at our table didnt get to eat their salads.

Had high hopes - although most of the food was great, some was iffy, and the service was less than we’d hope for at a $30/head brunch. We were served one round of drinks (at an additional cost) and never asked for more. Coffee was across the room and self-service. We requested high chairs with our reservation, but had to retrieve our own as tables left. Plates weren’t cleared. Our bill came after our first trip to the buffet and we didn’t see our server again. We enjoyed our time together as a family, but it will definitely be somewhere else next time.

Had my sisters wedding reception here on a Sunday night. Since it was dark we couldnt see much but I can see the place is huge. Lots of land

Course has the conditions to be a great course but having played their forthe past six years it has gotten worse not better. They constantly water rain or shine so the course is soft no matter what time of the year you play. The conditions add an additional 20 to 25 yards on all the par fours and fives. Plan on a disappointing round if you dont adjust quickly. Most days you will have little or no roll in the fairways. Since the conditions are the same on the greens you can go for the flag if you can get their. Talked to the manager several times and the only response you get is the sprinklers are on automatic timers. Then turn them off and let the balls roll. Still wet, after last playing their!

Course was in excellent shape, clubhouse folks were friendly. Nice layout. Lost several balls but found more than I lost.

Spent $10 for bucket of range balls. Area roped to hit off of was sand/ seed. No grass!

Im having my wedding there in September and I cannot say how amazing the staff is and how clean and well taken care of the venue is.They have been more than accommodating as far as allowing me to view it and helping me with planning.Ive had several questions along the way and Ive received answers very promptly.

I dont know where to start. Got there on a Saturday afternoon and there was a lot going on. First there was a wedding taking place that day and it was hard finding a parking spot. There was a 4 man scramble benefit tournament going on but it wasnt a shotgun start. They gave them tee times and they didnt play much golf. They did more hacking and drinking and vomiting than playing golf. The marshal only came around 1 time to speed things up. Yeah, that really worked. Took 5 1/2 hours to play 18. I will not be back. I recommend that you find another course if you are in the area. They management doesnt manage play.

Its a nice course nestled next to the lake. If there is a lot of rain for any amount of time, the course is flooded. A very good value, great driving range, best in the area.

This place is absolutely amazing. I have been going here for 15 years. Never had an issues. I have been here for golfing and weddings and they are fantastic!!

Course conditions were excellent for the 1st week of November. Played like it was mid June. Very well kept, including the greens.
