Rental home was great. Pool on the other hand is in rough shape. Needs deep cleaning, replacement tiles, side walls right above the water havent been cleaned since 2005. Bar area kinda dated and run down.

Stayed from mid July to mid September, 11bd sea esta, had everything needed. Clean and comfortable. Staff was excellent, the pool was nice. Bar has great drinks and better people. Great atmosphere. Genuine people that live and work there.

Trying to get someone, ANYONE, on the phone from either the resort or the management company was IMPOSSIBLE. Leaving a message was an exercise in futility. NO ONE ever returned a call. If this is how they do business, I feel sorry for the condo owners that want to rent their units. Terrible customer service. Worst I have ever experienced.

Waited over 15 minutes with 3 waitresses behind the bar and few people to serve. One played with the TV remote the entire time. Waitresses walked by our table several times. came to stay, eat, have a drink, listen to music, seems they don’t need the business.Ok, waitress came just as we were ready to walk out. Very pleasant. Ordered pizza. Not great. Music good. Not likely to return.

The Tiki Bar was fabulous. Fun atmosphere and the people were inviting, even though I was not staying at village. The live music was GREAT (5 Stars).

Loved this little village. The house we rented was super cute. The sofa bed did not work, but we made due. It was the right size for the three of us. We were near a Publix and got to stock up the kitchen. The bar/grill on grounds near the pool had good food, too. We weren’t far from beach access. We didn’t find much to do other than beach and pool, but that’s why we were in Florida. The customer service at main office was exceptional.

Convenient to Johnson beach (charge per entry, but its secluded, so very much worth it, especially now with the pandemic). Maintenance was timely. Music can be loud from tiki bar.

Only reason for 2 stars is you cant get into the pool as its for residents only. Atmosphere is super chill. Food is great and service is too.

First time staying here (Have stayed in Perdido for over 28 years), and it was extremely nice here! The Tiki bar is a full size bar with excellent service (Way bigger than I imagined), and the pool was huge with a nice hot tub. The staff for checkin and any problems was helpful with fast response. House was very comfortable/good size.

We had the most enjoyable stay here, it was just what we needed for a relaxing vacation! Hot tub and indoor pool were great and its about 5 minutes from the beach. Cant say enough about the house (C35) we stayed in...comfy beds and everything we needed for an awesome stay! The place was super clean and very comfortable...felt right at home immediately. We WILL be back again. Highly recommend!!

The bed was the most comfortable thing I have ever slept in, and I loved the fabric on all the chairs. It was yellow and cheery. The place had a fully stocked kitchen, including wine opener! love! However, the place was kind of tired looking. The paint was in desperate need of a redo, and the deck needed to be pressure washed. There was this black fungus looking stuff everywhere that wasnt on other condos. There was green algae living in the bathtub fixtures. Neat! there was mold spots on the plastic shower curtain. The pool would have been great, but there bugs that ate you alive the whole time, and again, the water fall needed a cleaning. There was no extra toilet paper or paper towel in the place. You also had a limited amount of towels, but there was no detergent for you to clean the ones you had? And although you have to pay a cleaning charge, you still have to do the laundry, dishes, and take out the trash. So, I feel the cleaning charge was a bit high.

The unit we rented was great, but the pool was not good! Full of bugs. I understand that its impossible to keep stuff out of it with the palm trees around, but a man literally trimmed a tree and was just letting the limbs fall in the pool. And he also poured chemicals in the pool while people were in it. good atmosphere though.

Everything there site says it is. Awesome indoor and outdoor pools, gated entrance, nice tiki bar. And only 3/4 mile from the beach. Love it!!!

Pool is ok comes in handy during the dog days of summer but the bar and grill is the #1 thing about this place!

During the songwriters festival, we had the opportunity to enjoy this venue. Being here makes me want to actually relocate. The crowd is awesome and Melissa, our bartender really takes care of her people!

If you are thinking of staying there the Lazy Daze is never disappointing, always a Beautiful place to stay and the Purple Parrot is Great for all ages!

We had a really good time here. Our house we stayed in was cute and clean. Great atmosphere. Quiet and relaxing. Did not like the public coming into the pool area and swimming.! People smoking in non designated areas.

Ok, this is a place frequented by locals. They are very friendly and very good local entertainment that changes nightly. Come as casual as you want. Nice bar and can order casual food to include pizza. It is next to the pool and open air. Remember, it is casual local. If you cant find it, it is behind the volleyball court and the pool. Plenty of parking. The music is in the evenings and ends by 9:30.

Theres live music here every day of the week! Decent drinks. The food takes a while to get to you, so keep that in mind when ordering. Its surrounded by a pool and several condos. Only the condos have pool access but everyone has access to the Purple Parrot for live entertainment.

Our unit is decorated perfectly for our beach vacation! Great with a large family to have three bathrooms and a washer/dryer. Location is great. Close drive to the beach. Close to restaurants and shops. Close to the Naval Aviation Museum.

This resort was so comfortable. The pool and hot tub was very nice. An extra is the Tiki bar and grill right on the property. Very clean and not too crowded. Only 5 minutes from the beach which was wonderful.

My family loves Purple Parrot. The pool is just beautiful and we have so much famiy fun there. The bar is nice and the food is great !! Im so thankful we can be a part of it

The pool is very nice. However, I Have never patronized the restaurant so I couldnt rate it. My brother said he enjoyed the burgers there and I trust his opinion. Its definitely worth checking out if you are visiting the Key.

We had a great time staying at the purple parrot in unit 5cu, over the labor day weekend. The condo was great as well and the pool and the grill/bar. We had a 1 bedroom 1 1/2 bath with a loft, the perfect amount of room for 2 adults and 2 teenagers We will be back!

First time here even though we live only 1.5 hours away. Very nice cottage. Were staying at the Sand Dollar one. Nice and cozy. The place has everything anyone would need. The bar is fun and the pool is very nice. We will definitely be back!

New to the area, we were up for trying some place new so we decided to try the Purple Parrot Grill. I was a little reluctant at first, realizing how to get in was amusing, so just know that you need to come through the front gate at the pool entrance.. the menu is small, again a little apprehensive, but I was informed the food takes a little longer than other places because everything is homemade at the time of ordering, this eased our minds..we ordered mushrooms, and the shrimp basket...it was absolutely delicious..we were so impressed, the price was 11.99 for the shrimp..big shrimp..comes with fries. The mushrooms were incredible, totally different, these are fresh mushroom some sliced in half or quartered, battered lightly and fried served with your choice of sauce. The service was very friendly, and seating is an outdoor patio setting. We enjoyed our visit and will be returning with family and friends.

We love this place! Its like a private little paradise. It is always clean and kept well. The pool and bar are AMAZING!!!

Very nice place to stay with an amazing pool. It could get a little crowded on the weekends with the bar and pool open to the public (it was never rowdy, just busy), but they also have an indoor pool for the residents/guests who stay there. You can drive about 15 minutes any direction and find just about any kind of food youre looking for.

We were so excited to be taking our vacation in Perdido Key. We arranged to stay at the Purple Parrot. We drove from Cleveland and arrived on Thursday evening. 1000 miles. We booked for 7 days. We got a notice on Saturday that we had to move our car from our spot in front of the condo because the little street we were on was being paved on Monday. WTH? Monday morning at 7 a.m. the condo started shaking and the deafening noise (not more than 25 feet from our front porch) told us the work was started. There was absolutely no way we could stay. We couldnt sit on the porch or walk on the street at all. They said the work would take 2 weeks. The rest of the streets are being done, as I understand it, so beware if you are booking to stay there any time soon.I understand that this type of work has to be done. However, dont you think they could have let us know that the condo we were in was going to be unavailable during the time we needed? Or offered to give us a rate that reflected the situation? We left. In the end they comped us for the 3 days we left early but all in all I was really disappointed in them.On a good note, they have a great pool, a cool tiki bar with great live entertainment most nights.

They want you to buy everything at the tiki bar instead of being able to bring your cooler to the pool. Money grab! You already spend a ton on the room and you buy drinks and food at the tiki bar but try and eat a turkey sandwich and drink one of your beers by the pool and get run off. Management should really rethink this policy. You are just pissing off customers staying. Wont be back.

Stayed in the No Wake Zone 3C. Absolutely loved it. It was a great place for our family to vacation. We had 4 adults and 2 children and had plenty of space. The kitchen was well equippedThe location in the complex was great. You are very close to the pool and tiki bar but you are far enough away for some privacy. Everyone was so friendly, will definitely go back.

I went to visit the bar as my friend was in the band that was playing that night and I wanted to watch him perform. The venue was nice and the drinks and food were well priced but the service was so bad I was never able to order anything. Would have been great if anyone working acknowledged my presence at the bar and took an order.

This is a really fun place to stay. The bar(tenders) are awesome and they make good food. They always have good entertainment and good drinks!

Great place. Been here twice. You can stay here all day, adults and kids and have a good time. Would have gave 5 stars, but the day time bartender I presume..... is rude. No personality at all. Ive waited tables, bartendered and still in the customer service business. She should look for another line of work

Sad this place looks great but from a distance. They have a pretty awesome set up the music is entirely too loud. There rules are strictly enforced & except for regulars, locals, & people on their board, they do as they please. The pool was closed to most people but then others were allowed to swim at night. Thankfully our stay was short but we cut it even shorter & came home a day early. The town house had fleas & then when stripping the bed we found a spider crawling under the sheets appalled doesn’t even begin to describe my experience. A roach got caught between the wall & light switch & died there. The measuring cups & some plastic cups were all cracked & could not hold any liquid. The tv in the bedroom had a very fuzzy picture. Then to top it off my credit card was over charged I was told it could not be refunded because the payment was already processed! Very disappointing stay

Rooms are nice and the TIKI BAR is awesome! We really like the pool area for the kids. We have a 6 and 1 year old and it was perfect for them bothDefinitely coming back!

Nice place. Sand area to play in . Nice size swimming pool. Tiki bar and grill are nice. The rooms are really nice. Went to meet a friend staying there and now going to stay for 3 days next month.

Great place we have stayed here the last two years. The facilities are great, and the Tiki bar is a good time. Close to the Sports bar, grocery stores and the National park seashore. I would recommend this place.

Our unit at the Sand Dollar was very nice and Jill was very helpful and great to work with. What we didnt like was the property itself. Kids were yelling and screaming all night long and the adults were no better. There was almost a fight right next door to our unit one night. People were not following rules and had cops called on them 1 night cooking in the pool area. And the parking is terrible! Each unit should have its own assigned spot but instead there was usually nowhere to park. We will not be back!

Relaxing poolside tiki bar. Colorful lights and neon signs give it a good atmosphere. Friendly service, live music, and a pretty good burger will bring me back here.

UPDATE (in response to the comment) We rented through the properties management company and the reservation was under my husbands name however upon checking in I signed the agreements as well.Our stay here was okay. The unit was decent and it was spacious with a full kitchen. The floor in the condo was not cleaned before our stay after walking through barefoot my feet were visibly dirty. Why did I pay a cleaning feet yet come into a unclean unit. For future guests please mops the floors of the whole unit. Also the shower curtain had a little mold or stains. Pool looks nice in pictures and it could be better but it was also a little dirty.

Only serves pizza. They use to have a grill with a great bar menu. Very disappointed.

I went to the bar as a visitor, I wasnt staying at the resort. I wanted a mojito because it was hot and it was my day off. They didnt have the mint to make it so I was disappointed. I ended up trying a different drink from their menu which was watered down. The pool guy came over to inform me and my family that we couldnt use the pool. We came their for a few cold drinks no one was even headed to the pool. Then he and the bartender just played on their phones until we left. I will not return.

Stayed here on vacation with my girls and it was amazing! Its super close to the beach and many cool places to visit. Truly a gem.

Could barely get a drink because the bartender was either MIA or on her phone. Plus the drinks were more expensive than what was advertised on the board. The resort is nice & the live entertainment was great.

We really enjoyed our stay. It is a little bit of a walk to get to the beach, but the amenities were great. We really enjoyed meals at the Tiki Bar.

The parking and drive needs to be maintained better. The entrance and Landscaping could look better and attract more visitors. Overall its not as complex it just kind of looks cheap with the lack of maintenance. There is no pride of ownership in my opinion.

My fiancee & I love this place! Weve been back 3 times now. The pool is amazing & theres a small tiki bar for entertainment & food if you just want to hang out. Its close enough to grocery stores if you want to cook in your condo and there are some good dining options nearby as well. Johnson Beach is a short drive & you can spend plenty of quiet beach time there also.The staff is very nice & the condos are good for couples or families. We love it there.

A great place to stay for a vacation or visit for locals. The tiki Hut has live entertainment, food and drinks by the pool. Kid friendly as well.

The condo was great. We got a three bedroom. Was very clean and will decorated. The staff was nice. The bar area was a bit small. Lots of kids around.

Pools indoor and out, volleyball, slack line, cornhole games, Tiki bar and restaurant workout room, houses well managed, clean and theyll have/ provide anything you forget! Plus, beaches and parks close by, Naval Air Station Museum well worth the visit!! Oyster bar within walking distance, as well, Johnsons Beach National Seashore State Park.

I have nothing but fabulous things to say about this place. Ive been twice with my family and we had a dream vacation both times. I have NO complaints! Cant wait to go again next spring!!

Staff was friendly. Drinks kind of over priced. Love the beach sand that was there at least you could walk in it. But you couldnt swim in their pool.

We enjoyed our stay at the purple parrot. The kids loved the pool. The tiki bar has live music every night until 10 so it can be a bit loud. It is just a few minutes drive to public beach access, the national seashore beach, and the state park beach.
