Best roadhouse theatrical venue in the area. Because of covid the whole industry is down. Expect the very first few shows when open to be sold out in 2 minutes.

Here we are... hello there! We saw the December 16, 2017 Saturday evening performance of Ballet Pensacolas The Nutcracker at the Saenger. The show was incredible, as expected... and the balcony seats had NO LEG ROOM, as expected. Thus the 4-star rating. The theater has been completely renovated with 2 beautiful ceiling chandeliers and 2 VIP opera boxes on either side of the stage. All seats are good, but if you have long legs or are attending a lengthy performance, I highly recommend FLOOR SEATS. There are plenty of options, some close to the centrally-located orchestra pit.The Ushers are extremely helpful and knowledgeable beyond seat location, plus they are all volunteers. They LOVE the Arts and Pensacola!Pensacolas Saenger Theatre is not the largest --as there are several Saenger Theatres throughout the South, including the larger, gorgeous one in New Orleans, LA

Oh my! The Saenger is so beautiful!! My husband and I have been there several times for different events and we are always in awe when when step in front of the building. It’s stunning... There aren’t enough adjectives to describe it. The only negative is the sound system. We were there this past Saturday night sitting in the front row and there were parts of the comedians skits we missed because of the fuzzy sound. She was built in 1927, I was told, so I guess she needs a bit of upgrading. Enjoy!

This place is very upscale and no matter what you go there to witness or watch, I am almost 100% positive that the only drawback is the parking! What I mean by that is.... if you know anything about downtown Pensacola you would know that you must get there plenty early or you wont be able to park near it at all. Then the ONLY options left to you will be to park along the street or in the parking structures and walk . Other then that, you and whoever you take with you, will have an amazing time!

The sitting arrangement felt better than the Rex. However seats are still not plus size friendly even for slightly plus size. Sitting down will squeeze you from both sides and you wont want to sit next to other people since the arm wrests are meant for one person only. You can sit for an hour, but wouldnt want to sit for a three hour movie.

Went to see the 1-28-18 matinee of Madam Butterfly. It was a truly disturbing story, but extremely well performed. The theater itself is absolutely beautiful complete with box seats on the sides and a balcony. The stage is framed ornately, even the ceiling in front of the stage is ornate.I sat down in orchestra section. I was gifted tickets that were in the center of a row. I have an artificial leg, so moving to a center section is not the easiest thing for me. I asked an usher if I could have a different seat and she had me wait briefly while she got another usher. THe other usher was able to quickly find me an aisle seat make the experience even better for me. Great Customer Service!

The staff at Saenger is AMAZING. I had purchased my tickets through a third party not knowing that if there was an issue it would be almost impossible to get it resolved through them. Side note: Vivid Seats has terrible customer service.Anyway, long story short, I have no clue what happened to my tickets so I was going in with the mindset that this situation was my fault and I just needed information on what to do after running into a wall with Vivid Seats. When I called a month out to explain the situation with the lost tickets, Kristen was super helpful and informative. She gave some options for dealing with Vivid Seats and then gave me some information on what to do when I got to the show. I called back the day before and spoke with Helen, who was also helpful and reiterated the instructions on what to do when I got to the box office. They were very nice, but also honest about potential issues I might run into on the night of the event and gently but firmly suggested that I always go through the theater to buy tickets. (If theres an issue, the theater can resolve it, cheaper tickets, etc.)When we got to the show, I was able to go up to the box office and explain the situation. Luckily I had a picture of the original tickets. They called Helen and were able to get confirmation that I had already spoken to them about my tickets. They gave us a voucher and we found our seats. Again, they were also very clear on what would happen if someone else showed up with the same tickets (we would have to move to the other seats I had purchased - but they werent as good). They made a really frustrating and somewhat stressful situation relatively easy. I honestly cant say enough about their customer service. It was so great.

Extremely disappointed - I was kicked out of the venue because I took a picture at the beginning of the show - I had no idea that they have no phone policy!!! Theatre assistant came to me and told me there are no phones allowed, so I apologized and I immediately put the phone back in my purse. I thought that was the end to it, but a security came to me and asked me to leave. I refused in my disbelief that this cannot be true. I did nothing wrong, I came from the long distance and paid a lot for the venue tickets. A minute later a big security man approached me and asked me to leave so I did. I was still hoping I can explain and that they will understand I had no awareness of no phone policy. There was no empathy from security guy. It really spoiled my evening, I was looking forward for this the whole week. I didn’t do anything wrong, I don’t even drink, there were many other people using their phones even after I was leaving the premises. I think that theater workers should have informed in person when they were scanning our tickets about such a strict policy. We were having a great time talking with friends before entering the theatre, so nobody saw small policy posters that I noticed only after I was kicked out. It’s sad that this policy even exist - why does it even exist? If it was put in place because of video recording- I took my picture well before the performer started to talk. I feel injustice.

Just saw Gordon Lightfoot concert last night and Gord and the band were fantastic. The music mix was vastly underpowered and you could barely hear the band playing. They should fire the sound guys or etc. There were complaints in the audience. It was so underpowered in level of one sang along with the song you couldnt even hear Gords vocals etc. One doesnt go to a show and a theatre of that quality to hear a mix that sounds like youre listening to it in the other room especially considering the age of Gords listeners 50 plus whose hearing is on the way out. That was the only bad thing about it. Worst mix/sound I have seen. Highly disappointed.

Been to a few concerts at the Saenger. Old building thats in downtown Pensacola. Its a little small but it has balcony seating floor seating and side private balcony seating. The chairs are a little small in my opinion but Im not exactly a small guy either. The acoustics in the old building are pretty good. If your not a drinker I recommend sitting and the middle of the row so youre not constantly having to stand up to let people squeeze by to go get drinks or go to the bathroom. Because theres not a lot of room in between the seats rows. The staff is very helpful and courteous when you get there 2 help find your seat. Its tight quarters so it can get a little warm but overall a great place to go watch some great comedy or an awesome concert
