Second visit, dont think I will bother with a 3rd. Such a beautiful dance floor, nice that there is no smoking inside... But music choices here didnt motivate...it would be great in my car but not for dancing, and not at that high of volume. Too loud to have a conversation without continuously having to yell in each others ears. Second time in a row band did not start at the time advertised on the website. Did not feel the drinks were up to par for the price.

With the University of West Florida down the road. Old Genes has always been a nice establishment and a great meat market! I just dont do cover charges to drink over priced drinks and a lousy country cover band!

Awesome bar. Great live music. Nice outdoor patio for smoking. Pool tables. Darts. Ice cold beer. Management and sound guy are cool as penguins. We had a great time down there

I live right around the corner from this place and I went to check it out for the first time. They wanted a 5 dollar cover to get in for the band that wasnt on stage for another hour. There was maybe 5 other people in the bar. I was with a group of 7 other people and we just wanted to get a few drinks but didnt have any interest in the band that would have started after we would have left. Maybe decrease your barrier to entry and you will have more business? Just a thought.

Absolutely great place, great security, great staff, great bartenders had an awesome time. Coming from Texas, this is one of the best bars Ive been to on this side of the United States. Will definitely be returning.

Paid 10 dollars for me and my husband to see that there was no where to sit while a live band was on and the only other places to sit were spots for smokers. Pool tables are located in a high traffic area of people walking by so I wasnt going to consider playing. The building had so much more potential because of space but the set up of where everything was is disappointing.

Dance lessons were free but I was not adept enough to do but my friends enjoyed it,I shot pool! Then band cane on later than we though,time discrepency,n the music was modern country-I didnt wanna dance to it-so we left. Waitress was nice. Whoever bought place did not spend big fixing it up--n patrons were a varied bunch,not that many there for a Friday night.

The place is awesome. Its always a great time I go out friendly staff and always have live music. Hands down the best bar in pensacola

Overpriced weak drinks. Waitress forgot order twice and the bartender didnt offer to remake a drink she messed up. Instead, she argued that is the way they make it there.
