About 10 yrs ago or better....(yikes! Im getting old!) I saw BUCKET HEAD not once, but TWO TIMES at Vinyl! I wish I had pics, but i do still have 2 awesome dolls that Bucket HEAD himself handed me. Two separate shows and i received a present FIRST at both shows! I felt so special and will always remember these 2 fantastic shows! Vinyl has a great venue. Its a perfect place for a show, and Im sure it has only gotten better with time! If you dont know anything about Bucket HEAD...look him up!!! An amazing artist, guitarist, and performer! Best days ever! I also played his guitar while he was on stage! Hands down one of the most FANTASTICAL moments of my life!
Fun evening with friends-great atmosphere
I do sound and manage production for an artist that played here and I can’t say enough good things about this venue and staff. They were very welcoming and the PA was top notch. Guaranteed great sound at this place. Thank you!!
I have seen shows in huge arenas and in amphitheaters and I prefer small venues like this. I went to see one of my favorite bands, Avatar, at Vinyl and it was great! Aside from the pole blocking my view from the side, it was still amazing. Got there for doors and was able to secure a front row spot. Bathrooms were clean, beer prices were reasonable, and the general atmosphere lent itself well to the show. Location also great, being near places to eat and park.
Pretty cool venue! They usually have many diffent kinds of bands playing. When I went it was pretty hot, probably due to all the bodies! I was near the front so I was able to stay away from the moshing. But there are guys there looking for girls. I saw one buy an underage female a drink. So watch out for things like that. Overall it was a great experience, but the staff needs to watch whats going on. Also. Everything is way overpriced! Except water. Thats always free usually. The security is nice, but they cant see everything!
Non smoking intimate setting venue. Some shows have chairs and tables unavailable, some dont. Sometimes you can go upstairs, but other shows you cant. Restrooms are usually clean before the shows. Sound and lighting is reallly good. I really enjoy the venue (except when there are no chairs since i have a foot issuensnd cant stand on concrete for long). Love having NOLA bands play here
Multiple bars overpriced but a very cool spot to catch a show best place in Pensacola to see live music!
Amazing staff and security service. Security staff maintains a safe atmosphere while maintaining optimal crowd enjoyment. Sounds hard to achieve, but they somehow have mastered it. Just saw Light the Torch and Ice Nine Kills. Staff at this location are amazing.
Great venue! Drinks are expensive. If you want a seat pay extra to go upstairs! I loved just being able to relax and enjoy the show! No food there but if your nice to the staff they will be nice to you and let you get something to eat.
Interesting concert hall. We really enjoyed the show we went to see. Titos and well brand vodka cost the same so you should order the premium brands! Service was good and everyone e was nice.
Great small venue. Sound was good. Easy access to bars.
Great place to see you favorite band, or discover a new one. Every spot (standing room only) is a good one in this intimate venue. Good beverage selection too.
Hard to believe you buy a $15 ticket and then when you get in, they want to charge $20 a seat to sit down in the balcony. The seats were clearly not being used in the balcony, as there were only about 100 people for this show and we got there early in order to get a seat.On their website its states In some cases, limited seating is available on a strictly first come, first serve basis. Fair enough. We were part of the first 10 to be in line and get in. But we were told no sitting in the seats was allowed even though they were not being used. So much for first come fist serve. When it came right done to it. They wanted money for you to sit down. They stationed an employee at the stairs (that leads up to the balcony and the chairs) and he was collecting $20/person for per seat. So, we each had to pay $20 a seat in addition to $15/ticket to sit on on cheap chairs in the balcony. Others, chose to do the same thing as well.No where does it say (on their site or at the venue), give us $20 an we will let you sit, but thats exactly what happened. On top of that, my wife had 2 extra charges on her tab for drinks she never ordered.Having said all that, the the Heart Tribute band (Avalon) was great and the sound was good.
OH YEA .... Jonathan Davis concert . Had a great time there.
Great venue to see a concert, however there are no seating areas.
Always good shows coming through. Never had any trouble here either. BTBAM was amazing.
Great intimate venue with stellar sound
Pretty nice people working there. We always have a great time and they have great shows. Pretty awesome place to go. Super affordable pricing for shows. Thanks Guys!!!
Amazing venue. They have a lot off lesser known artists but will occasionally have big names featured as well. Has a bar too
Saw In Flames here last week and was easily the best concert Ive been to. Tickets are reasonable and we got there an hour before doors opened, were front row at the show. The place is pretty small, but I prefer them that way over a convention center or arena where Im packed in with smelly dudes. The sound system was pretty good for the heavy metal sound and even when the place got full for the main band, the AC inside was very tolerable. I will be keeping an eye out for future shows at this place.
Great small venue, I cant recall a show where the bands were not accessible. Drink prices are at a premium, at least they have a call well. Would prefer this venue over any in the area.
Love this place! They get plenty of bands I want to see. The atmosphere is fantastic. Warning: there is only one place to sit and that in the restroom. So wear your comfy shoes. Bring cash to purchase band gear!
After moving out of Pensacola, I am convinced I will never find another venue like this. Almost every one of my favorite concerts (and Ive been to 70+) has been right here on this stage. The vibe is always so intimate, and simultaneously has like a house party atmosphere. I am ruined forever and struggle to enjoy larger venues now.
The Billy Joel Tribute was just awesome! So much fun!! Mike Santoro and his band were phenomenal!
Fantastic venue! Love going to shows here. The atmosphere is great, too. My only complaint is, there is no way to contact this venue! The phone numbers go straight to TicketFly, and you usually have to hold for at least 15-20 minutes :(
Love this place! Great concert venue seen everything from Metal to Hip Hop to EDM here and always great vibes, strong drinks, and good acoustics for a smaller venue.
This is an incredible Live Music Venue located in the heart of downtown Pensacola. Easy / inexpensive parking access. Safe, fun environment location. Perfect view of stage from any area within the building. Great staff. They are constantly bringing in events from every genre, every week at a great price.
Vinyl is one of the best music venues I’ve ever attended, and I’ve been to Seattle and Austin!
Great little venue. Renovations look good. Location is excellent. Good size, I am very comfortable there. Bar is weak point in that drinks are made by gun.
Great little place for a concert. Nearly zero seating. Wear comfortable shoes. You have to buy VIP tickets to sit down. Bars are fast. Many complaints in reviews about expensive drinks. For this type of venue, they are about par for the course. Bathrooms are clean and new. We loved the good parking and restaurants close by before the concert. We will likely visit the Vinyl Music Hall again.
Cool venue. Four bars. Concert was badass
Great set up. Mezzanine was a nice improvement. Sound is great. Gives Pensacola a chance to bring in good music.
Awesome venue. We went there last Saturday night for the Wildflowers and they were great. Had a great time!
When we went, we saw Marc Broussard. It was very cold that night.Problem was, it was just as cold inside. Was never able to take our coats off.The music was SO loud, made the event anything but enjoyable.Would never go again.
Great bands Great Friends
Good drinks, good shows whats not to like!
If Goldilocks visited here shed say, its not too big and its not too small. Its just right! This is my favorite place to go see a show and one of my favorite bands The Melvins come there on a regular basis. I dont know how they keep their bathrooms so clean but its one of the cleanest Ive ever seen and the artwork on the stall doors is really cool. FYI...Mudbugs in Gulf Shores has the worst bathrooms on the Gulf Coast. They smell and look like a Port-O-Potty.
Riff Raff was Awesome loved it got a meet and great and had a blast just the alcohol beverages our way to overpriced
Ample parking around downtown. Good acts always booked, price isnt too bad.
Vinyl Music Hall gets fun acts. Great people work there be sure to tip your bar tenders. Pensacola is very fortunate to have Vinyl Music Hall right downtown.
Great show! Venue was above capacity to where it was a bit dangerous with people pushing to move around.
Great venue. I am going to keep an eye on their schedule for now on.
Saw Spafford here over the summer. The venue has an intimate vibe which is very welcoming. Nice long bar with friendly staff. Clean bathrooms for a smaller venue. I didnt get a Chance to check out the upper..... apparently they have seats on the balcony-ish above. My reason for only three stars. The stage is off to one side of the venue. It would be like moving your television up against one of the side walls instead of centering it in the wall. This was mildly distracting to me as there is a lot of movement around the bar and bathrooms on the side. If the bar and bathrooms were to my back it wouldnt be an issue. The sound was the biggest distraction...at times I felt like I was in a tin can. This was also the only indoor venue Ive been where I left and woke up with a ringing in my ears. My wife also experienced the ringing. That is unacceptable for me and has hindered my return. Now Im not an expert so I dont know if this was on the sound guy or the architecture. But if it happens a second time I wont be back. This is not meant as a complaint. We had a great time with friends and really enjoyed the show. Im simply sharing my personal experience. Especially, if the ringing is a common occurrence.
Great music great energy just small bur doesnt make a difference the expIs great
Great place to see medium sized bands. Really the only venue of its size in Pensacola. Wish they would get more bands I like.
Amazing venue and staff, excellent sound, and always bringing top level artists and events.
I LOVE Vinyl. The venue is awesome and the staff is fantastic!
Love this venue! Smaller but still fantastic. Security is tight and they are quick to remove anyone that gets too rough. Drinks are decently priced for a venue bar. I will continue to return for concerts!
The remodeling done really adds to the place. There is now a mezzanine where you can get a better view of the stage if your not right up front, but its not a big venue so you can see the stage from anywhere. Nice venue just need bigger acts.
Great venue, friendly staff, huge place, good drinks!
Fantastic venue- additions upstairs are awesome. Sound quality is GREAT.
Its a great Hall and a nicely equipped venue. Its more than I expected and the bar is well stocked and those folks behind the bar are great too. Thanks, and Ill be back.
I had a blast. Beverages are a bit pricey but other than it was great.
Fun place
Great intimate venue and I didnt get hot.
Vinyl!! Top notch music venue with a top notch staff
Great venue! Went to Stephan Marley concert. Great show, full bar and tons of fun! Venue is small enough to be intimate, yet large enough to mingle and meet great people!
Friendly service....Great vibe
Great spot. Cozy and chill vibe. The upstairs provides a great view of the stage and floor, and allows for a more low key spot to chop it up with your friends
Have seen several shows here, excellent small venue for your buck, quality sound, decent prices drinks, recently remodeled. Last show I saw here was Evil Dead: The Musical. It was hilarious and a great show. Highly recommend it for a fun time!
Great place! Easy to navigate and in a great location
One of the better venues in Pensacola for live music and shows. Drinks are on the pricey side.
Cold drink and really good bands, what else do you need..
This is a great venue, very intimate. My only issue is the timing of the show. According to the tickets and advertising the show started at 7:00. However when we arrived we were told the DJ came on at 7:45 and the actual show started at 9:00. Fortunately the location is in the heart of historic Pensacola and we were able to stroll along Palafox where there are many bars and shops. So even though the timing issue wasnt good, we still enjoyed the evening and topped it off with a great show.
This could be a great place and could also have alot of potential. 6 thumbs down for the 6 disappointments. We left before the show even started, a $30 lesson to not return.
Bone Thugs performed here and loved the intimate setting of the venue.
Amazing venue, top tier sound system and engineer, and an excellent staff.. all in the heart of Downtown Pensacola!
Great music
Intimate, cold air blasting before a given show, guns make the drinks. A great time. Love the venue.
Absolutely the best place to see a concert. You have a great view from anywhere in the venue and they get great entertainers.
A very nice little venue! I saw Crown the Empire and I See Stars here in 2017. Nice stage and sound
Nice music venue, drinks are a little overpriced for what you get. But hey, for the affordable ticket price, its all good.
This venue is great for catching bigger touring artists, but thats about it. Ticket prices have nearly doubled for most events, and promotion is limited. Sound is nice, and the place looks great, though. My main beef was with the bar setup. Everything at the bar is hooked up to a little soda gun with a button for whatever you want. The Whiskey and Coke I paid $8 + tip for was the weakest drink I ever paid the price of 3 drinks for, and the gun took away the need for all six bartenders I saw just standing around, every so often pushing a button. Overall, it is a nice venue, and its cool to see more artists coming to Pensacola, but you need to be pretty well off financially to enjoy it.
Box office was closed during the hours it was posted to be open. Sucks when you make a special trip there, find parking, and walk to the box office in 100° heat just to find its closed. Worse yet when it could be easily run by the people that are there.
Great small venue where you can get close to the stage!
Some of the best shows Ive ever been to
Upgraded sound system and balcony adds so much. really nice staff!
Always a great venue made so much better with a balcony level and additional bar. Id like more seating possibilities- only complaint. Maybe snacks since it is all booze - simple packaged things? Just a thought.
Saw escape the fate and blessthefall, great concert, facility was clean and well maintained.
Nice small concert venue and in the heart of downtown Pensacola.
Good service.Well air-conditioned.Clean.Great sound!Nice setup!
Great sound crew, nice facilities! Would be nice if they opened the upstairs for smaller shows but it was a great time regardless.
Great venue with a great lighting setup and really good sound. Pretty small stage but the sound system is top notch!! Full bar with no draft beer, cans and bottles only and priced as reasonably as far as these places go. NO CHAIRS or tables in the whole place. Stand up or sit against a wall. Outdoor smoking area.
Excellent venue. Enjoyed the entire experience.
Vinyl Music Hall is a great place to catch an inexpensive show on a weekend. Ive been there several times & have enjoyed myself each time that I went. Its a great place to discover bands that you might not have seen or heard of before. Ive become accustomed to expecting a good time no matter who I go to see.
Awesome room... Even sweeter stage! Cant wait to Rock on it tonight!
Cool place! Bouncers are friendly - shot out to Pat and Lemar keepin it real!
My favorite small venue to catch smaller acts and local talent. I love this place and what it does for the community! I try to make it to as many shows as I can....the down side is, a lit of the shows are weeknight shows. Makes it kind of hard to make it during the week but occasionally I do.
Very nice staff, place got a very good energy.
