Wow so much to see. FRIENDLY and inviting! Great place for one of a kind wedding or special event gifts. Formerly home to Germania fire house so there are old photos too and a mural outside. Quayside has been around since 1973 with over 100 artists.

Quayside has a ton of various styles of art from local artists. Its a huge building with art for purchase on every wall and a second story with prints from a good deal of the artists. Even if you are just curious, its fun to go in and look. Its free entry, although you can leave a donation. Great thing to do if you are walking around downtown and need some air conditioning and pretty things to stare at.

Plenty of local art, some obviously better than others. As art is is a very personal matter of appreciation, there is something that will appeal to most everyone. Very worthwhile to go there and see the art for sale.

I give this little gallery five stars for what it is, and dont detract for what it isnt. Its not a place for world-famous fine art, so dont expect that. Its a decent sized gallery for exhibiting the work of local artists. Mostly paintings, and of those mostly landscapes. There are other things too, such as sculptures, pottery, tapestries, and photography. Its fun to look at and find the gems. Its free, so we took the kids and they had fun. Someone was in the ground floor front wing painting a portrait and the kids really liked watching the artist at work. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Everything is for sale, and I guess its sort of a co-op where the artists help fund the place and in turn get to display (and sell) their works. Again, its not the Louvre, its a fun place to look at and find local, buyable art and doesnt cost you anything to look around. Three floors of stuff, so plenty to look at. Enjoy it!

Top notch gallery. Its free to go in and just a look around, and theres a lot of nice artwork to look at! The first floor galleries are always nicely setup, and have a wide variety of styles, sizes, and prices. The 2nd and 3rd floors all have individual artists bins and walls to browse through. Its also cool that building is old, historic firestation. Desk workers were super friendly, and theyre all artists who display there. Overall, highly recommend, even if youre not in market for a new piece of work, great place to visit while walking through downtown Pensacola!

I am an artist in the Pensacola area. All of the artists that show there works at Quayside must live in the Pensacola area.Quayside Art Gallery is the largest co-op gallery in the Southeast, it is the best FREE Show in town!It is a cooperative organization of more than 200 Artists and Associate Members. Staffing is done by unpaid volunteers. With 3 floors of art you can find works in acrylic, pencil, photography, scratch, fabric, stained glass, Jewerly, pottery, woodworking, macrame and other mediums. Our artists are Juried in.(meaning they must be judged on the quality of there work.)If you come to Pensacola and are interested in art, you must see all 3 floors of Art at Quayside Art Gallery.

Packed to the brim with local art. Despite probably having in excess of a thousand pieces on display, though, there are at most 20 works that are worth looking at. I hate to say it but almost all of the art is amateur (at best) and there are clearly very few serious artists showing there. Most of the artists appear to be retirees looking to pick up a new hobby, and most of the works are paintings or photographs of Pensacola plants, animals, and sights. None of the pieces seem to offer any meaning, and they are almost universally overpriced. Most of the talent in the building is in the works of sculptors, woodworkers, and not in the visual art. And the ceiling on the second floor is literally six feet up - so tall tourists need not apply.
