What a treat to attend the annual Car Classic event at the place that graduated 40% of the worlds automotive designers. The show this year (2018) was brilliant. All the cars at this years event were designed by Art Center graduates. An Alpha Disco Volante prototype, one of only two made. A Hyundai 4-door sedan prototype with suicide rear doors and a paint job that revealed streaks of rainbow as you walk by; a charcoal grey Genesis roadster prototype with an innovative take on gull wing doors with copper wheels and matching bright work.Chrysler Atlantic and Chronos prototypes and loads more.We were also able to walk through the entire main building enjoying the exhibits and workshops where the design magic happens.10/20/19. More marvelous cars
This place is amazing. Lots of art and different styles and types. From 3D printing art to wood work with laser printing.
A great place to get overpriced supplies for the school that is a waste of money and will ruin your life.
With scholarship and grant opportunities, I was able to get through the fast-paced Illustration program. I also participated in an outside scholarship program to help me fund my education. I learned a lot on how to use illustration and apply it to motion graphics in the design industry. My artwork become less stiff and more structured as time went by -- I extended my studies during ACCD because I chose to work part time off campus. Since my undergrad program at my previous university, I developed my own brand, and it became a reality during my time at ACCD so I decided to spend time on it in depth. Despite one drawing instructor who seemed schizophrenic and yelled at me for being stubborn and evil-eyed, the other instructors were willing to work with me to get through the classes. I was one of the tenacious students who was flexible with time, portfolio and schedule changes.
Amazing place. I wish I could come back to school here.
Friendly people and a great tour
Cant say enough about the place until you be a part. Never think of an art school casual or light!Art center is a challenge and change
Great place to work!
Eh. Hillside store is much better. South campus store accepts no returns, restocks items spontaneously & slowly, slow transactions, and its pricey despite everything being 20% off (excluding apple products and accessories.)Theres lots of room for improvement.
World famous! This school is the reason I ended up in Cali (attended 1985 - 1986)... Too bad I could not continue (only due to financial reasons)!
This college made you feel welcome and the staff was very helpful with any questions you may have about the difference programs the school offer. Also they have programs for High School students.
My son is a student here. He is in the right place
Go here for the graduation shows! They display the art work of all the graduating students. The whole building turns into an art gallery. The campus also has great views of the San Gabriel valley.
Their security guys are very rude. When I ask the direction, they wanted me to show student ID, so I said I am not a student but they didnt listen to me. They asked me to show ID so I called my friend who is a student. He explained I was supposed to meet her. And they let me go. They kept me 30min without saying sorry.
Its a great place
I loved it! I got some classes there and I really learned alot!
Great work done by students.
