Used to be nicer and better kept, but for a free park its in excellent shape. Two separate enclosed areas for larger and smaller dogs plus a nice shower area (for the pets not the owners). For some reason the stands that dispense the poop bags are not located where the trash cans are, which is weird. But at least they have free poop bags. Get there earlier when its hot out so there are more dogs for yours to play with!

Great dog park. I use to go to the one in Tamarac but decided to make the longer drive and try the Bark Park. Plenty of room on both parks, owners are more responsible and the grounds are way better kept and cleaner. There is also a wash station and plenty of parking.

Awesome park for dogs of all sizes! Plenty of space for your pup to run around. Also well maintained and two water fountains on the big dog side is nice.

Brought my 9 month old Boxer here. The dogs are very well behaved and not aggressive like most other dogs parks weve been too. We normally bring her to the Margate and Coral Springs dog parks. Dogs are just to aggressive at those dog parks. Highly recommend Barkland.

Clean and nice place to take your dog for a playdate. Everything is well maintained, you can take your dog for a bath right there and is separated in to two sections for small and big dogs.

A lot of dogs and everybody is super friendly! a lot of parking space and everything is pretty much clean. the park is hugeeee to run around and my dog loves it here. the only problem is that there is a bunch of flies around you if you stay still but that’s normal in a dog park i guess.the park is also in a great area and overall totally recommend!

My family and I really enjoy Barkland Dog Park and our dogs love it too. What a great local dog park serving Parkland.Any given day you can meet many friendly people and large varieties of different dog breeds.It is spacious, wonderfully designed, has nice paths to stroll, has a couple of drinking fountains for the dogs, and has plenty of shaded areas.There is a nice dog wash station in between the large dog side and small dog side which makes it convenient to rinse off any mud if need be.Our Vizsla would sometimes obsess in trying to find the lizards in the trees!

Its a great little Park if you live nearby. It wasnt crowded for a weekday afternoon which was great for my dog because hes just learning to be around other dogs. I like the fact that it has separate parts for dogs that are under or over 25 lb but I dont believe some people know just how big or heavy their dogs are they do have water and hoses for your dog which is great as well as water fountains for adults

Very clean and dog friendly. They segregate dogs on a consistent basis by size which is very important to me. Was going to a place in Coral Springs which I will not go to any longer. Im willing to travel further to Parkland. I am a Coral Springs resident. I highly recommend bark park.

I had a very nice visit just a little shotsee in time. Im sure Ill be able to visit again though. Lots of different types of breeds having fun in harmony running around playing ball, and some old timers just taking a stroll.Includes a play area and picnic area. Clean & quite at the time visited 6:30ish pm.Got to assist in some environmental cleanup doing a small part to assist. See something do something. I pick up random cigarette clips and throw them in the trash along with water bottles ect.Leave it better than you find it, I say. Enjoy the pictures and most importantly all the world has to offer.Pitch in and lend your fellow furry friends a hand in maintaining their park.

Loved the park and most dogs there are sooo friendly. Some of the regulars can be rude, so brace yourself. Had some nasty lady (who thought she was like the governor of the dog park) push my dog because hers was not as friendly. But other than that small inconvenience the park was extremely well kept. They have water fountains, two sections for small and larger, and they have a section to wash your dog!

This dog park is just okay. It’s honestly really crowded pretty much all the time and that’s not horrible, but it’s kind of inconvenient. The large dog area is pretty big so there’s definitely room, but it’s kind of hard to have your own space and get a breather. I probably won’t go back to this park, the one in pompano and boca are more chill for me.

One are of the best park I ever went to. My pomeranian loved it. They had a convenient water fountain for the doggies.

Probably the nicest dog park Ive been to in S. Fla. Its large, very well maintained, and so pretty! Also has everything a dog park could have including a wash station and even a recycle bin.(((My pups and I have visited over a dozen dog parks and beaches at the time of this review.)))

Fun time at the park with our Stella. Other dog owners were friendly. Park had 2 separate sections, one for dogs under 25 pounds and the other section for larger dogs.

Its okay....they havent been cutting the grass in a few weeks but theyre closed for maintenance every Wed.....if you have little dogs, do not take them to the big side....a small got killed there last month & I was told this happens every year!

A great dog park that has two sides for different sized dogs. Plenty of obstacles and things for the dogs to play with, and even an area to wash off your furry friend before heading back to the car.

My favorite dog park in the area! It’s very clean and has separate parks for large and small dogs. Dogs must be vaccinated so you know pets are safe. Grass is maintained and everyone cleans up after their pets. :-)

Its a pretty good dog park! Its got separated sections for large and small dogs, as well as the Broward County standard lightning alarms to keep everybody safe from the Florida lightning. Its also right next to the municipal center, which includes the police station, and there are regularly Sherrifs deputies that patrol Barklands parking lot.

Nice big area for the dogs to play.. My dog doesnt know any other dog except his brother.. So he freaked out when he saw other dogs.. Nice wide open spaces makes it so he didnt have to interact with them if he didnt want to.

This park used to be a really nice place. But lately theres an influx of bad pet parents with their aggressive dogs on the big dog side. Such a shame.

My dogs really enjoy going to Barkland. We only go into small dog area. Other dogs very respectful. People are very nice.

We love the place. Separate parks for large and small dogs. Watering stations and clean up bags and a hose thats fenced in for those dogs that find dirt and roll in it. I highly recommend the place.

I am so happy to have this well maintained dog park​ in our area, and I have had great experiences with the people Ive met there. Ive found South Florida to be surprisingly not very dog friendly in general, but Parkland has generally been an exception to that rule, and this dog park is a great example. Its not just a tiny after thought, but rather a significant space that is kept up and where youll find postings about local dog friendly events, sometimes even held at Barkland.

Barkland is an amazing dog park. It is very well kept, and it is located in a beautiful location. It has plenty room for dogs to play, and has an area for large dogs, and one for smaller dogs.It also has a place to shower your furry friends, and I have met very educated people.

Well kept. Responsible owners. Friendly dogs. Nice and laid back. Conveniently located in Parkland. One of the better dog parks Ive visited.

Large park for dogs with separate areas for small and big dogs. Open 7am until sunset. Closed Wednesday mornings for maintenance. Dog washing station available. Not enough benches to sit on and little shade so avoid on very hot days.

This dog park is great. Its very spacious with plenty of room for your large dog to run. They also have a completely separate park right next door specifically for small dogs. They even have a wash area and dog water fountains on site. The only complaint I have is some owners are negligent with their larger dogs and dont control them when they are being aggressive but that is with the owners not the park. Look for the HUGE American flag when you are driving up, its right next to the park.

Very clean and well kept. Plenty of benches and natural shade to keep you cool. Has a few obstacles for dogs and a hose to rinse your dog down afterwards. Nice hidden gem in Parkland.

Park is great! Many of the dog owners are pigs. Cleaning up after your pet is part of the responsibility sadly many don’t care.

My dog was attacked by two other dogs. When the park ranger (Julian) was notified he said to me Oh well, its a dog park. So I contacted his supervisor and havent gotten a response yet.

Opened in 2012 Barkland is a little over 2 acres and includes separate areas for dogs under 25 pounds and a larger area for dogs over 25 pounds. The park is open every day 7:30 AM until sunset. Amenities provided included a dog washing station, water fountains for both pets and people, walking trails, covered pavilions, and benches. There are also things for the dogs to climb through and climb over. You dont have to register your dog to use the park and it is up to you to be diligent to watch and protect your dog. You are also expected to grab one of of the bags and clean up and properly dispose of waste if your dog goes to the bathroom. Parkland did a very nice job on the park. They added a lot of trees and pretty landscaping. There is a kid park next door with bathrooms and vending machines for drinks and ice cream but there are signs advising the dog park people to not take the dogs on the playground side.

We take our dogs to Barkland every weekend and it’s a clean place and safe for any tape and size of dogs. People are friendly and so far after 3 years no have any accident or problem there

Its close so we go here. But, its small small small and there has been more than one dog fight when we visit. Just too many dogs in a small closed in space. There is a big unused park area next to it....not sure why they cant expand the dog park area.

Very well kept dog park. They post a ranger number if a problem occurs. The ONLY problem is not with the Park, but with people who do not pick up. I have watched them turn away from their pets, walk for their own exercise or stand in groups talking. Dogs usually “go” soon after entering the park. Watch your dog, then have your agenda. The park provides doggie bags, shade, seating, cover, wash station, walking path and weekly manicures! Great park!
