So well kept and beautiful. The boat dock and ramps are awesome. They have a gorgeous paved walking trail/bike trail. There are restrooms that are also very well kept. I highly recommend making a visit here. You WILL have a great time! :)

Great area - wide paths to allow bikes, runners, and walkers. Not too many people at any given time, especially as you move along the path.Theres a boat ramp - definitely a nice area to kayak in. The lake is big enough to not feel like youre even remotely crowded.Ill be curious to see what happens to the area once the apartments go in.

Been tough fishing this year, but still a nice place to visit with the boat.

Jo
Review №15

Nice place to fish or slowly boat around. It has well thought out fishing areas for bank fishing. It would have been nice if the boat ramp was wider to accommodate kayaks better. It is easier to step into them from the side at boat ramps and this ramp doesnt have enough width for my 14 kayak. But, it IS a fun lake to fish and is not choked with water vegetation like Walnut Creek is.

Br

Large lake, plenty of bike trails, boat docks first launching boats, and even outdoor exercise equipment.

Ro

Good for walking or cycling. Not too busy yet. Not much shade, so I dont recommend this on a hot, sunny day. Restrooms open year round.

Its a nice area for a jog or slight escape from hectic rural life. There are multiple other recreation areas within Omaha, that offer a greater nature scene.

Jo
Review №19

Its pretty nice here for a rec area in the middle of a growing town. Ease boat access but a small area. Its very crowded for fishing with only one main jettie. I wish there were more paths to the shore for fishing. Its a pretty walk and a nice place to spend a morning.

Love this lake. Its fun to fish for blue gill and its great for kayaking. I like paddling through the tree lines still standing in the middle of the lake, feels like a floating Forrest.

Beautiful scenic lake, great for paddle boarding and running. 4 mile hilly paved trail. Nice boat launch.

Je

Too much vegetation on the lake to fish it properly. Plan to walk a lot if you are fishing as access is very limited.

A neat newer lake. Its not overly crowded, lots of walking trails and fishing spots. A lot of fun to paddle since the lake is so long with hidden run offs. The only thing I didnt care for is the aesthetic is a bit sterile but thats pretty par for the course with manufactured lakes.

Excellent wide four mile trail for bicycling and walker/runners. Peaceful, quiet, two good parking areas with restrooms. I have one observation for improvement. The boat launch ramp and pedestrian/cycling trail intersection is a hazard for cyclists, Parents with strollers, or wheelchairs. There is only one ramped curb option at the boat launch. Boaters very often block the path to launch their boats. If another ramped curb 30 to 40 feet from the intersection were added (on each side) Wheeled pedestrians would have an option other than stopping and jumping a curb, both up and down.

This is a very nice fishing lake, there is a lot of fishing pressure, and watching the boat ramp at dusk is a fun blooper reel. There is enough cover that the shore fishing doesnt seem to be impacting the populations much though. I enjoy kayak fishing here.

Brand new walking / biking paths in southwest Omaha. Boat ramps at the Cornhusker side make it easy for small fishing boats to make it in. Theres a second entrance further south that has access to the longer northern route or the shorter southern route. Nice wide paved paths make this easy for walking the dog without being in the way of cyclists.

Br
Review №49

Used to be a great quiet spot to kayak fish. Now its overpopulated with people and fished out. No longer worth my time unless I just want to go paddling. Its never patrolled resulting in another fishless puddle. Once all the new homes crowd around it the water will have yard chemicals galore in it making it a total moss pit. Very sad.

Nice trail. The trail itself is mostly level (not many hills/inclines) so it makes the walk around the entire lake easy. There are various benches along the trail to sit if needed/desired.

Fishing, kayaking, running, hiking, or biking. All can be done at this park. The path around the park is wide enough and relatively flat for easy running or walking. The park is young, but it has a lot of current developing potential.

When this opened it was great for boats and shore fishing. Poor shore and shallow lake management means that shore fishing is pretty much a moot point
