Panama City Center for the ARTS is a MUST SEE! No matter if you are just visiting or if you live here. In addition to their inspiring art exhibits by local and national artists, they entertain with musical concerts, film festivals, show movies and much more! You can take classes to learn to paint, sculpt, make jewelry, photography, write poetry and the list goes on!! Located in the heart of our beautiful downtown it is walking distance to restaurants, shopping and even our gorgeous marina!! Walking into The Center for the ARTS you are transported to diverse cultures and artistic enrichment! When you leave you will take with you a new awareness of the talent and artistic culture our town has to offer!! I love this place and it always keeps me coming back for more!! It isnt always the same old thing every time you go, which is the beauty of The Center. Your experiences there will be ever changing and stimulating!! So, its not a been there, seen that place to visit, it is a been there, going back! cultural experience!!

Feb 7, 2018 we were excited to go to the Center for the Arts. We are visitors and had never been to the Center. When we got there we discovered it was closed for renovation. There was no indication on the Centers web site that it was closed. In fact, the web site indicated that it was February Black History month at the Center. We tried phoning the Center, but only got their recording. Very disappointed! When will it reopen? We will try again.

Wonderfully nice people there! Great representation of art, local and beyond. Clay studio is great for novice and experienced clay artists.

Ever since I have been volunteering here, Ive seen nothing but motivation, determination, and hard work out into this place. From the staff Ive seen care and sincereity in the art. And from the lead director of the Center for the Arts, Mrs. Kim White, Ive seen patience and dedication. The downtown Panama City, Center for the arts, in my eyes, is a landmark. The art defines the culture of Panama City. And adds to more culture of downtown itself. I would say the Art center is the heart of downtown and is well deserving of donations and the support to keep its doors open. I predict nothing but growth for downtown as long as this place is there. Well reserved and well deserved.

I was so impressed during my visit to the Panama City Centre for Arts- on many fronts! With the variety of art- the quantity- the display- etc. I left with all kinds of inspiring questions percolating in my head: I wonder who the girl is in that portrait, Im curious about his story, I wonder if that artist panted her from a photograph or her posing like that, that must have taken years- how long?, his journey must have led him specifically to the message of this art- Im curious what that looked liked? All the things I guess art leaves you pondering. I was moved. I will be back. The extra bonus? THE staff was so engaging and helpful!

I have attended numerous events and shows at the Center. Always interesting. Always something different. I have a new place to bring my out of town guests.

Definitely a place to go if you are in Panama City. Interesting exhibits by local, regional and nationally recognized artists with classes for every one.

The staff is friendly and informative. The museum is in PRESTIGIOUS CONDITION!!!
