A rather nice collection of warbirds ranging from World War II all the way through the Vietnam and Korea War. The price is a bit high for admission but you are in California with high taxes and high wages. If you have a service dog one of the restaurant Personnel was a little put out that we had her in the patio dining style area with us. They also do not follow the state mandate for wearing a mask. If you have a medical condition they still require you to wear one which can make its quite uncomfortable for somebody like myself when it gets very hard to breathe

I absolutely love this air museum. The staffs and volunteers are super helpful, patient and friendly. They gave me a lot of tips and suggestions to help me get started! I understand some of them are veterans and former service members. The exhibition has 4 major sections each feature a specific theater and theme. Theres a ton of history, stories and people to be discovered. Of course a huge number of planes large and small. Also a lot of relics and historical items on shelves. Air craft carriers models are fun to check out too! There a good amount of exhibition dedicated to the important role women and people of color played during that wars. I spent 3 hours there and had a lot of fun. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

A truly incredible Air Museum. The Palm Springs Air Museum is ranked as the #14 best air museum in the world and for a good reason. This museum mainly focuses on the various wars which took place in the mid 1900s each hanger is designated to a specific war/time period. Since the air museum is located right next to Palm Springs Air Museum you get to watch commerical flights take off as well. I was even able to see a current military helicopter take flight from the museum. There is plenty to see and you could easily spend two hours here or all day seeing everything this museum offers. Well worth a visit if interested in machinery, aircraft, or military history.

Amazing place. Always first class staff and events. My wife and I came back for the memorial day event. Everyone is helpful and its a lot of fun. The planes are so great. I have one suggestion though. The food made available during the event was not good, and it was difficult to get too because of the amount of people. I would suggest allowing food trucks to come in, park in a line and allow them to sell food. It would work much better. We will be back, love the museum and everything you do!

We were really impressed with the museum. The displays were very well done for the WW2 hanger and very informative with lots of artifacts. My 16 yr old daughter and her friend got totally lost in the history! They spent more time reading everything than I did!! My only suggestion would be to work in the Vietnam hanger as that was very lacking and was sparse, considering the amount of Vietnam vets I saw at the museum I would have thought it would have had a larger emphasis. All the staff were very friendly and clearly very passionate about sharing with visitors. Having a WW2 spitfire that you can touch and feel was a highlight for me!

The theater runs on an automatic viewing of various movies from History Channel. In addition, theres a library upstairs with computers set up with flight simulation games and a joystick for control. When we were at the museum, they were unfortunately setting up for an event, so much of the museum was closed and the displays moved around a lot.The museum is also right by the Palm Springs Airport so you can watch planes take off and land up close at the airport.

Palm Springs Air Museum is home to aircraft from World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. All of the aircraft are in flying condition, and some can even be booked for private flights! (That was just a biiiiit outside our budget…) The docents were all veterans, and it was really neat to talk to them about their experience and expertise. We got to tour an A-26, for which my husbands grandfather was a mechanic during the war. It was really neat for him to get to get a glimpse of what that was like.
