G- Star is an amazing school. It contains values that I can not find in any other school. A private school has nothing on this institution, the teachers they have, are very positive influence for my child. They encourage my son to do better and help him believe that he is very capable. I have to mention the safety of the school and the communication with the parents its second to none. I love their Saturday Clinic that are offer to help the children at no cost and with dedication it is a perfect sign that value is not in the money value is in the desire to teach. I think that Greg Hauptner has a love for this institution that even my son sees it in his eyes when he goes to school. I highly recommend this school it is a great fit for the teen-age years. Thank you all for been a great influence.

My daughter has had a rocky start, however, my husband and I are working with faculty to get these issued resolved. We got off to a very slow start, however, it had been coming together. I hope things continue to progress and we can resolve the understanding issues. I do look forward to a resolution soon. Overall the school is a good school, and I think they do care. I will update my review pending the outcome. So I promised that I would post an update:I had the meeting with my daughters teachers and all the issues were addresses,so far things are going well and her grades have improved. In order for your child to be successful, you have to be a proactive parent. It also depends on the counselor that is assigned to your child because some are more proactive that others! Overall, I will say, the school is a good school!

G-Star has been an excellent fit for our daughter. After having to relocate and move her from school and friends in Georgia that our daughter adored, G-Star School of the Arts has proved to be a Godsend. She picked up a motto at this school of ‘no judging’ and is pleased she has not encountered or seen bullying. My husband and I have seen our daughter easily acclimate to the wonderful environment of inclusion that founder Greg Hauptner has created at this school. It is the perfect blend of high expectations in academics and the freedom to learn and growing artistically. Students are given ample opportunities to pursue leadership roles as well.My daughter is happy and thriving! She needed this kind of environment where she could feel confident to make new friends and spread her wings and learn more with theatre, gain new knowledge of the film industry and pursue entertainment endeavors. G-Star has fit the bill for her in every way. We could not be more pleased with her extremity dedicated teachers and staff. This school says a lot about when excellent leadership happens when you see teenagers that are happy in their high-school.Thank God for Greg Hauptner and the vision he had to create this school.

Best School, in my own opinion, that a student could ever go to. For open mind parents and creative kids this place teaches you how to continue your dreams and not give up hope. New classes are always being added and that is a really good thing because there is always something new to learn and in a different way. Being a Game Designer myself it is rare to find these kind of schools that help teach to being yourself and not be afraid of reaching something higher then you thought possible. No one is perfect, but who said we had to be. G-Star loves you for you being you and doing what you can do for yourself to teaching those goals in life.

I had the opportunity to utilize this facility with my team this weekend and it was such a blessing. G-Star is very spacious and the open-air atmosphere really gave room for thinking space to put us in a successful place. I would truly recommend this place to anyone!!

G Star is a dynamic learning environment. Our daughters have been going here for 2 years now. One just graduated and is off to college in September. Coming from New Jersey was a bit intimidating for them but they quickly found friends and love going to school because of the stimulating learning environment. I think that when your kids want to go to school theres something very good going on in that school. One daughter graduated from G Star and off to college and the other a sophomore in the IB program. A great school with positive and supportive teachers!

I had the pleasure several years ago of meeting with Greg Hauptner, the founder and CEO of G-Star, who gave me a tour of the school. I was so impressed with the facility and it’s students that I have made it a point to keep up with their accomplishments. As one who has spent a career as an artist I can appreciate the attention and encouragement G-Star gives to it’s students in recognizing their talents and inspiring them to achieve to the highest level. The school with it’s impressive facilities, outstanding faculty and amazing students is testament to it’s success and worthy of every bit of praise and worldly recognition it has received.

My Dad and I consider this school a great choice for my academic’s because of the all around outstanding curriculum, and wonderful staff. From my own point of view, I’ve had only good interactions with the staff and their willingness to always help me and my peers out.G-Star School of the Arts is a fantastic school for me to get my acting preparedness in, by it having a lovely staff for such. Thanks for my Freshman year being all I ever wanted in a school. Here’s to Sophmore’s!

10 years here and its still the best thing move I ever made - we may not be as fancy as some but - fantastic staff, the most amazing students and most importantly RESULTS! Ive watched our students go from 14 year old dreamers (thats a good thing) to successful adults working throughout the film and video industry around the world. Of course there are those few who just became doctors and lawyers but thats ok too! Dont believe the naysayers - come and see for yourself!

A HUGE thank you to G Star staff; Palm Springs Police Department; PBC Sheriffs office; and everyone involved in keeping G Star safe during this recent threat to the school. My son did attend school on Friday and felt completely safe in that environment. The school did an excellent job of communicating with families as well as offering an excused absence for those that did not feel comfortable attending school that day. I am grateful that no harm came to anyone but also so impressed at how the school handled this unfortunate incident. I highly commend G Star for taking the threat seriously and responding with the utmost of safety! I feel totally safe sending my son to this school.

Being an alumni G Star is a school like no other. The opportunities, the facility, and the staff are all amazing. Greg Hauptner care so much about his students and alumni I couldnt imagine my high school experience anywhere else. All that being said the amazing facility that has been built is the ultimate environment for any student, production company, almost anything you can imagine. G Star is a top of the line school and studio. Highly recommend any production company in the future to take full advantage of the space and the added bonus of the extremely profetional students who are willing to learn and work hard making any movie an outstanding product. Thank you G Star for being the amazing place to grow even years after my graduation G Star is still home.

I went to gstar, class of 2011all 4 years. To be frank and quiet honest allot of these negative comments are b.s, I never encountered or even saw these allegations but who am I to judge or say if what they are saying is true or not. I can only speak about the time I spent there and let me tell u I do it all again if I was able to go back in time Id still pick gstar I would still live my past exactly the same that school was amazing and ever teacher whether I disliked them or not had something to bring to the table. Always had a valuable lesson. And yes I said dislike a teacher, but everyone in this world had something to give you from their knowledge and thats what makes education so important. Ever teacher could teach even though some you may or may not liked but I be they still educated you . You wont find teachers like this at a public school

Ive been starring at the reviews and as much as Id like to say that this is an amazing school, it isnt. I graduated in 2013. The school is failing apart, the books are torn and dirty, and the vents have mold. The air conditioner used to break down every other month. The office staff doesnt care about you and treats you without respect, because we were children. They never cared. They never had good clubs and when clubs were finally organized they would cancel them. The staff doesnt care about the students, only some do. Mr. Haupner is a terrible person. He bullys the students there. Hes rude and nasty. I remember he once came into my class room telling us that we were never going to mount up to anything, and that we were never going to succeed in life. He said that our parents dont care about us and spoil us. He told us that we were worthless and that we were so lucky to be attending his school. That we were privileged to be there. I only wish that I had my phone on me to record him, but of course thats against school policy. He even kicked out one of my class mates because she drank some water from her water bottle. Saying that she was disrupting him and the classroom and that she was rude. Thats when I had enough. It was one of the many reasons why I chose to leave my senior year, four months before graduation. Not to mention, the million dollar sound stage that we werent allowed to us as a student. The cafeteria is so small that it didnt fit all students so we had to find places to eat around the school outside and if you couldnt find a place thats it your stuck underneath the hot sun or rain. Finally, parents began calling and complaining. Thats when they decided to open up the sound stage so we can eat in there. The transportation is terrible. The have roaches in the bus and the buss staff curse students out. Very unprofessional and disgusting. People would walk in and out of school ground like nothing. Kids did drugs in the bathroom and come to school intoxicated and no one noticed, or cared. I can say that there are some teachers that were so amazing. Like Me. Snow ( an English teacher,) and the physical education teachers, coach Murphy & teper. They were mentors and treated their students with so much respect, love, and kindness. And maybe two film teachers. Besides that, think twice before sending your kids to this dirgrace place called a charter school.

I graduated in 2012. Worst school I have ever attended. Owner used all the funding he got to build a multi-million dollar soundstage that students were NOT allowed to use. Meanwhile, classroom ceilings were growing mold, and students were forced to eat lunch in the rain due to not having enough seating to accommodate everyone. The school also locked us in the empty parking lot (which was used as a courtyard/Lunch area) as if we were animals. I had quite a few great teachers during my time at Gstar, that was the only reason I didnt beg my mom to transfer me to my regular school zone. If you want your kid to be treated like something you would see at a circus, send them to Gstar.

G star was very unique and amazing. I had a different high school experience, and I met amazing and talented individuals. I got more than just an education. I chose to go to g star because I feared the school I was zoned for.... Palm beach gardens high.I learned a lot about myself and discovered who I was as a person. The film program was amazing and the teachers were mentors and friends to us all. The 3D animation program was challenging, but I learned a lot from that as well. Some may claim the academics werent up to par, but thats because they didnt challenge themselves. You had the option for honors classes, or AP and even IB. Those who didnt take it seriously got the grades they deserved. The clubs were cool to be a part of, and meeting celebrities as they came to g star were once in a lifetime opportunities. I got to see THE WHO practice before a big tour and a few other big companies come through. I was also involved in X - Scream Halloween, and went on really cool trips with the cast. Many of us got the role of being a victim in a training session day for firefighters and police. We set up in a plane and acted out a real life emergency scenario. Special effects were done by the very talented Emily Serpico who is also featured in Face Off. She put her heart and soul into the special effects for the X - Scream team and anything we did. I loved g star and I will never forget my many opportunities. I met people with great talent who are going places in the industry, and people who are starting their own businesses. They are truly an inspiration to me. G star is a great school. It changes your life.

I was a student here, not only do they allow bulling but if you try and help someone who is bullied they punish you for it. Teachers will tell a class that its their least favorite class. I have seen students run off campus and the staff dose nothing about. When a student is failing no one offers to help them they just let the students fail. If you miss a train they dont have a second bus waiting for you so your in a different town you know nothing about. Teachers yell at students for fun, Mr. hopner the founder of the school thinks everything is gang related. They promise you classes and promise you clubs after school but in reality they dont even offer the classes and they cancel clubs or dont even start them. I have seen drugs past around kids doing things they shouldnt in bathrooms and allow your children to work with saws, drills, hammers and these are kids who never used these tools before. Teachers have had affaires with students and I even know the students! It toke them 6 years to do something about it. The girls were older then me and graduated the year I started. All the good acting teacher left the tv production classes dont really teach you anything and they say famous ppl come to the school but no one ever sees them. If there was a option to give a half star I wouldnt even give it. They ask students and some parents to give a good rateing for half off prom tickets.

This School is a disgrace. Its absolutely filthy. Theres rats in K building, and roaches on the buses and school ground. The school is cleaned once a week when it should be cleaned every day! Theres mold in the air conditioner vents, the bathrooms always become clogged. They have a policy that doesnt allow us to bring bottled water inside the building, but the staff is allowed to? They fired the only teachers that actually cared about the student! Im glad they kicked me out, but whats wrong is this is my last year of high school, I was actually going to try and get straight As but they kicked me out weeks before school starts up again! This school and Mr. Hauptner can go to hell! Oh And its not a safe school. people easily walk on and off of campus everyday... This school is absolutely horrible. It actually used to be a water plant! this school needs to be shut down !!!!
