This is a great park for young kids. We brought two toddlers here after the reopening of the parks this year and had a great time. They have nice walking trails and a dog park. Their equipment is clean and pretty new. The swings are directly in the sun, which is a small bummer. And some of the equipment collects water, which our toddlers are magnets to!
We love this park! The shade is great and having multiple play areas for different ages makes it easy for my 3 kids to all have fun playing. I wish they had shade over the swings, only complaint.
Good place to bring fido. Friendly people. Designated area for smaller dogs. Lots of holes in the grass and hard to open gates but someone was there working on it. Overall good dog park
Great place to take the pups! They only problems we found is the smaller dog owners, are really not happy when their little dogs get run over by the bigger dogs! There ARE two sides of this park, one for large and one for small dogs! The dogs dont have issues, its the owners who dont follow the rules! Lol!
This is definitely in the running for #1 park in palm beach county, especially if you have a toddler. The shaded play area is great and has a specific fire truck playground for younger kids. One of my favorite parts about it is the fence around the lake. Most parks are open to the water which gives me so much anxiety with a toddler who likes to dart off. Also the playground is fenced in from the parking lot/road as well. And the play area is the padded turf material (rubber), and that’s great for falls. My son also loves that he has twice been lucky enough to be a recipient of a foul ball from the college baseball field right next to it. This is in a great safe area, and it’s probably the only park I’ve been to that I’ve never seen any shady activity. If you have older kids, there’s also a great big climbing/monkey bar area for the more acrobatic of children. We even stylized one of the pictures we took here and had it framed on canvas and it’s hanging in our living room. Great park!
Love this dog park. Also has a nice walk around the park also.
Great park. Except the dog part wasent open. Nice place to take a walk.
It is a great place for your dog to interact with other dogs.
This is a great park for children. There are multiple choices of play equipment for varying ages. These equipment areas have nice overhead coverings to offer protection from the sun. The ground beneath has a great soft flooring as well for unexpected falls. For whatever reason, the swings do not have this same overhead protection and can get very hot. There are plenty of areas to roam and play with lots of paved sidewalks, benches and covered picnic areas. The grounds are very well kept and there are plenty of garbage receptacles to keep it that way! A great place to spend a day!
Great place to play pickleball!
The upkeep of this park is beyond terrible. Park needs to be redesigned for the traffic that it brings.
Extensive walking routes that connect to other parks.
Dogs love it. Nice, well kept and has enrichment devices.
Great pickleball courts. There is always an available court.
Great park for children of all ages and dogs. There is an amazing dog park and 2 separate playgrounds one for smaller kids and one for bigger kids.
Is Perfect for dogs
Love it!! The fact that it is shaded makes a world of difference in Sunny hot days.
My dog had a great time. He our newest dog. Hes Small but liked the big dog side better. And the big dogs couldnt keep up with him.
I only go there for the dog park! Very good place to take your dogs, I little bit messy though. There is a lot of dirt spread asserting the big dog park.
Great park to take the kids and play this park is also close to a dog park and it has a soccer field
Its an awesome park! I brought the dogs there every night!!! Up until there was this one dog owner that wouldnt/couldnt control their dog and they kept going after mine even after Id picked her up. They didnt come after the people just the other dogs. So I would give it 5 stars theres just no way to police unruly pet owners
My furbaby loves this place. I like the nice humans. Lol
We love this park!
Love all the big shade trees calm atmosphere but the trails need some work, torn up and muddy in places.
Great park for kids, and it has a tent on top, bathrooms and water
Good place to keep your kids off video games!
Great dog and kids park. You can have your kids playing on one side and your fur baby on the other side!
Great park for anyone. My 2yr old loves it. Nice jogging track too
Great place to bring your dog
When its open its a great place to take your dog.
Good soccer fields to watch granddaughter play.
All time favorite dog park set up. This is a very well maintained park and the set up for the bark park portion is neat because theres a gated area for small dogs and one for big dogs. The small dog area has a bunch of cool tunnels to run through while the big dog park has an obstacle coursr and the people that show up are usually quite pleasant.
This is my sons favorite park. He loves the fire truck structure and could spend all day climbing the jungle gyms. I love that it is complete shaded too! A great park for kids of all ages!
Dog park clean in good repair friendly people and pets
My dog had a great time in the small dog section. Trees offered some shade from the sun. Water was provided and it was clean.
Trails for running. Biking for children not adults. Red dirt, be prepared for stains. Climbing & playful gear for children 10 & under. Very little shade in that play area. The rest of the trail is under trees. Trail links to Burns Recreation Center. Wooden bridge takes you over canal. Dog park attached to Lilac Park. Dog Park separated for large & small dogs.
Its a nice park but I strongly suggest not bringing young children on school days during school hours. This park can be a hang out for high school students that are supposed to be in class.
Friendly clean safe for children
Great place to walk.
Nice park with two different play areas plus pavilions, jogging trail with some exercise stations, and big open sports field. One thing I really like about this park is that one of the two playgrounds is covered which really helps in the hot South Florida sun, and when its rainy.Other nice things: there is a foot bridge over the nearby canal that connects Lilac Park with Burns Road Park, there is a dog park adjacent to Lilac Park, and literally across the street from Lilac Park is another park that has basketball and pickleball courts and a skate park. All together, its effectively one huge multipurpose park. Very convenient, diverse, and fun. My children love it.
Field is garbage
Nice park....kinda a hidden gem (everyone goes to Burns park). Lilac park is at the back of Burns Park....hidden....no exposure at all from main roads. But the kids playgrounds, the close bathrooms, the seating....AND THE TARPS THAT PROVIDE MUCH NEEDED SHADE...make Lilac way better than Burns.
Love to take my kids here, good atmosphere
I like this place, although i wish it was larger. But the dogs get a nice run and there are hillocks that they can run over. My biggest concern is that there are areas that are difficult to see into and if you dont follow your dog, they can poop with impunity. Also some dog owners seem to think that if their dog poops near the trashcan they dont have to pick it up. But most everyone is nice and their dogs are well behaved.
Fun spot for dogs running and socializing. Very welcoming!
I enjoyed myself at my daughter and granddaughters that was wondering favorite parts
What a wonderful dog park! A true hidden gem in Palm Beach Gardens!!
Grew up in this place. Very peaceful to exercise, walking the dog and picnics. Also, there are fields to play street hockey, soccer, basketball, baseball. Good place for the family
Lots of unique equipment for the kids to play on and most of. It is covered by sun sails so its not so hot.
Very nice park for all ages . Enjoyable.
Not too over crowded but just right.
Just took our 5 money the old puppy here and this was a great park. There were tunnels for the dogs to run through and plenty of benches for people to sit. They have dog fountains posted around in case they get thirsty. Most importantly the park is separated into two areas for dogs under and over 30lbs. There are also plastic pick up stations if your dog attempts to leave a little gift . A few feet away are three covered playgrounds if youre bringing the kids. Those too are designed very well. All in all this will be our new regular stop to get our dogs energy out.
Dog park is annoying. people bring their big dogs into the small dog side. Totally rude. Trash.
I believe this to be a nice family park. My son loves it.
Good clean place fun for family and friends
Seems to be popular with dog owners, but I dont have a dog. I visit the school immediately across the road where there is a school basketball court and a baseball diamond.I suggest you be careful where you park as one person in our party recently had her car broken into and purse stolen at this location. In fact be careful around any city park as I know of many instances of cars be broken into in Palm Beach Gardens and North Palm Beach at public parks.Update: Cars being broken into are an issue in the school parking lot across from Lilac park. Even with nothing visible, a side window smashed and purse/wallet stolen. Be wary of cars cruising in and out and keep an eye on your vehicle.
Clean and nice park full of pokèmon stops and gyms if youre into that. Only complaint is the lights dont always come on at night making some of the path kinda sketchy at night.
Great Park but little parking
We had our rehearsal lunch here and it was amazing!
Were here with our dog at the dog park. Its a wonderful place for him to run loose and socialize with other dogs. The park is well maintained and there are obstacles for your dog to play and learn on. Its devided into 2 sections. One for small dogs and one for larger dogs. There is water available to quinch their thirst as well. There are other parts to the park for humans, which look very nice, but weve only been to the dog section.
Great dog park, although it does get pretty muddy in places
This is one is the smallest dog parks Ive been to. It does have some obstacles for the pups, which is nice. And some benches to sit. But thats about it.(((My pups and I have visited over a dozen dog parks and beaches at the time of this review.)))
Great place to watch a game
There should be a scale for these dogs. On multiple occasions there is dogs bigger than should be allowed in the small dog area. Also Why do they close it for a month for renovations constantly yet nothing changes??
It is just ok. Soccer field a little worn.
Clean, family friendly Park. Dog Park near by
First time was a great experience! It will always depend on responsible pet owner of course, but the space is nicely designed with a some permanent agility equipment.
Park is great but, dog park too small and there are feces everywhere.
Decent place. Lots of dirt tho do expect your pup to get dirty but they do have a hose accessible
Awesome park with two dog parks (for large and small dogs). Friendly people. Great spot
A fun 2 hours at the dog park
Great fenced dog park. Lots of cool dogs and people after work. Well behaved everybody. Hose, water fountain.
Good for under 5 at the toddler park, nice and covered from the sun. Several kinds of rock walls
Nice park, like that they have the pkay area covered.
Park with lots of shade. Had a group over there training for an obstacle course run later this month.
Nice family place babies to big kid
Nice quiet park, great place to take toddlers.
Very nice and covered park...
Great park for family or friends get together. Also have a dog park for your pets. Love it.
Happy place
Lots of dogs with no collars or tags
Great walking trail! Clean bathrooms
Great park lots of things for the kids and a dog park near by
Nice place
Had a great time at the park! Loved that they had bathroom facilities and water fountains.
Well maintained. Separate areas for large and small dogs
Great park for little kids. They have a shaded area so the kids dont have to be in the sun. And theres a dog park there also so the kids can watch the dogs run and play.
Not a lot of shade clean can do a workout if you choose
Best dog park
A good Park where the playgrounds are shaded with a large tarp
Great park when its open
Filthy, dirty feces cover the dog park. The maintenance posted on their gate is onTuesday from 11:30-3:30 when the park is closed to do nothing more than mow the grass. Feces pick up is not part of maintenance. We picked up over 20 one day. Yes, dog owners should be picking up but to not have maintenance pick up once a week during their scheduled time is ridiculous. Maintenance crews pick up all kinds of things in the streets, on public grass, in bathrooms and communities. Imagine if the maintenance crews decide not to clean up public toilets and instead explain its the job of us to keep toilets clean. Same goes for dog parks.SO CLEAN UP THE FECES IN THE DOG PARK ONCE A WEEK LILAC MAINTENANCE CREW. SHAME ON YOU.
