Love the views, and the educational signs. I miss the old dilapidated buildings.

There arent any buildings anymore unfortunately, but the hike up there was a fantastic work out and the view at the top is spectacular! You can see all around on either side of the mountain, a gorgeous view with a wonderful hike.

All of the buildings are gone. Only concrete pads remain. Don’t bother if you expect to see relics.The hike and the views are fantastic though.

Walked up to the abandoned Nike Missile site while I had a spare couple of hours before catching a flight, the views of the Bay Area and Pacific coast were stunning. It’s quite an incline from the south entrance to the reserve but paved and fairly easy going. The site itself is interesting with a information board that provides a little insight. The buildings are essentially shells with som interesting graffiti covering them.

A very cool historical site to we after ascending up to the ridge of the mountain. The histiric degrading buildings and awesome views are worth the hike to this location.

A nice gentle hike up a paved road to get there (Sneath Lane San Bruno entrance), and quite an impressive view of the Pacific and the SF Bay from the top. No real indications that this was a military installation other than the signboard explaining the site. Photos on google maps show an extensive gallery of street art on the dilapidated buildings, but unfortunately this has all been whitewashed over, leaving only ghostly traces of the former splendor. These buildings may be slated for demolition, as there were quite a few construction vehicles parked around.

Favorite hike with expansive views of the SF Peninsula.

The old Nike site at the top of Sweeney Ridge has been demolished by GGNRA as of April 2019. Nothing to visit here any more. Will miss the creative graffiti on the old buildings.Perhaps this means that GGNRA will finally be doing some much needed maintenance on all the Sweeney Ridge trails? One can dream.

Its a good place to go, but its so sad that the people dont have any respect for the history everything has graffiti everywhere, its so sad.

Relaxing hike with great bay viee

One of the best panoramic views in the Bay area

This was home to a old WW2 military artillery sites. The buildings were razed earlier this year leaving only the foundations and adding information placard stating the use of each building and other historic fact.

All the buildings have been removed. Nothing but a sign and some concrete slabs. Very sad.

Hike to the top of the Ridgeline to see good views and a small part of history. Its just a sign post with I fo and a bunch of concrete pads.

I visited the Nike Missile control site on a cold, cloudy day in mid-April. Visibility was slim, making the abandoned cold war-era concrete buildings seem eerie -- and intriguing. If youre hiking the ridge, stop here and let your curiosity explore what remains of the Nike control station.

Not much to see here, as the buildings are abandoned and unmaintained, but there are a few places to read about the history of the place. Every once in a while, some cool graffiti shows up.

Amazing place to ride

I park off College and hike a half mile to the first building. Beware - there is a hole in the floor in a dark part of the building. Almost fell in it once! Past that are the stairs that lead down to Sweeney Ridge.
