Big. Clean. Lots of space. Not crowded. Very nice way to enjoy a week day afternoon/sunset.

Beautiful beach with plenty of room for social distancing. We love walking here with my kids and looking for sea glass and rocks!

My favorite beach. I have been taking walks on this beach for over 40 years. On a clear day Anacapa Island and Santa Cruz Island are in view. Snowy Plovers (little protected seashore birds) run to and from the water. Flocks of pelicans fly overhead, and on occasion there is the joy of sighting dolfins nearby.

Beautiful beach that goes on for what seems miles. Watch dolphins or ocean birds. The tide brings in seaweed from the kelp forests just off shore. Clean white sand beaches. Take care for rip currents as life guard towers were not many along this scenic stretch of the California coast.

Has great Seaglass. Depending on the tide. They have great homes on the bay that have fantastic views. Many things to do from boating in the harbor to surfin at the beach. Sailing to the local islands. Great weekend getaway.

Clean water, not crowded eventhough there is no bathrooms or showers.

One of my favorite beaches to walk! For a 3.5 mile loop, start at Mandalay Beach Park, then head south along the shore. On a clear day you can see the Channel Islands and gorgeous sunsets. The beach ends at a canal to the harbor. Finish the loop by walking through the marina, where youll pass boats, bars and cafes; plus a farmers market every Sunday. The beach sometimes has black tar that can get on your shoes or feet, so wear shoes that can get beat up. Have a lovely walk!

The beach is pristine. Sparse crowd. No business development. No mess from the domestic side and nobody leaves one. Its miles long. No lifeguard in the fall. A little fishing.No surfing. Its as dull as a beautiful beach could be. Just sun, ocean, sand and you. Good to walk and sunbathe at. Perfect. Short drive to several dining spots; fancy and not so fancy.

This is a very nice and quiet beach. The majority of it is under utilized. Surfs good for boogie board and surfing in general. Dolphins come to play every afternoon until the evening. The beach is clean and safe. It is a great place to spend time with family or meet up with a large group of friends. You may even be able to rent one of the beach houses on the beach in advance. It will not disappoint. See you there;)

This was a very quiet beach....not too crowded for Saturday. It was pretty windy and there was a good amount of surf. The water was also pretty cold but the kids still enjoyed it.

This is a lovely beach, you have to park next to the large sand domes prior to the no parking sign. It is only a beach no kid play area. But I took my daughter who is 9 to watch the sunset and she basically entertained herself. Best place to watch the dolphins go by in the evening and are close to the shore.

Dead animals everywhere. Found at least 5 rotting dead Sea lion bodies and a dead rotting whale on the beach. Really sad sene.

I was their with our church doing a beach cleanup. There was not a lot to pick up which means it was a pretty clean beach. That makes me happy because I love the beach.

The Mandalay beach area is a nice area for enjoying a day at the beach. The area has a lot of parking and a lot of space. There is a short 10 minute walk between the park and the beach. Mandalay Beach is a beautiful stretch of beach facing the Channel Islands. It is rarely crowded and offers a beautiful beach walk around the beach and the neighboring Embassy Suites. Not much in the way of facilities however.

Beautiful beach and got to see a Dead whale and seal that were beached. Its right next to a factory and beach houses but really calm waves and beautiful sunset watching territory. P.S. Dont let the seagulls win.

Beautiful and easily accessible beach, although not the cleanest it could be. Parking along the adjacent road can fill up at times, especially just before sunset.

This is the best beach in Ventura county. Wonderful playground, grass everywhere, walking paths, and a clean beach. All picnic areas have tables and a BBQ grill. It helps when its attached to a resort.

Chillest Beach in Oxnard. Clean beautiful beach and never crowded. Parking is also a plus when going to this beach, practically parking in the sand.

This was a great experience. The beach here is very well maintained with limited crowds. There is both a biking and walking path that you can take advantage of in addition to a public park that is near by.

Pretty decent beach, but the sand is coarse, large waves which makes it difficult for swimming. There is also tar that sticks to your feet if you accidentally step in it.

Nice public beach with good parking. Fun to walk down the beach and look at the ten million dollar homes.

Great spot for a morning walk! Drive to the beach was scenic with all the strawberry and kale fields in route. Just the power plant near by makes a bit of an eye sore.

Very nice, fresh air, Pelikans flying around you. Said to be Dolphins obeservation place, but havent seen any so for. Ita so beauful

Beautiful beach between the ocean and Embassy Suites by Hilton Mandalay Beach Resort. Oxnard Beach Park located just behind the dunes of the beach, a local favorite for barbeques, picnics, bicycling and recreating in general.

Truly a hidden gem. NEVER busy, beautiful and, clean. Good amount of street parking. Great sunsets and great view of the Channel Islands when its clear. Plenty of uncrowded area to hike if thats what youre into. Reccomend this place to anybody living or just driving through.

Where you park your car and go to the beach area, is a little bit of a walk. The good part is, its a side walk making it easy to walk on. Once at the beach area the walk is a little further to the beach then some beaches around. It is a nice clean beach, not overcrowded this time of year.

Apparently the people have not read that DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE BEACH. It clearly states this in the website. I just love coming to a beach and stepping in dog poop. Wont be back here anytime soon even though it was nice.

Beautiful wide, long Beach. My dog and I got soaked. There are new boulders on the north end, a sand break? Dredging?It was a Sunday so trash cans were overflowing (not the first time Ive seen this).

First time at a beach. It was amazing here. Just wish the waves would of been so rough that day. Found a lot of beach glass which was pretty chill. Id definitely come back here even if its just to soak up the sun.

Nice open beach but tar pellets surface that you can step in. Not a soft sand in the water. Too steep for boogieboards or surfboards. Waves swell and crash right at the beach. Water current is very strong. But is great for relaxing and hear the crashing waves.

Waves/current are strong, so if you are not a strong swimmer, stay out. Sand is more rocky than sandy, but we still love and enjoy it here.

This is a hidden gem! One of the most rustic natural beaches in SoCal. Beautiful dunes full of wild flowers. Amazing views of the Channel Islands and the Los Padre Mountains. Not a good beach for the kids as theres no restrooms, fresh water, the closest store is about a mile away and the nude sun bathers. Other than the saggy tittied hippies (and I am talking about the guys) this place rocks.

Its a long wide beach that is largely empty. Dogs are ok... It is unusual for a socal beach to be so uncrowded.... I like it....
