The owners are great and they make it simple. The boats are clean and kept up very well. First trip to Anacapa.

This club is awesome! Karen and Scott are super friendly and welcomed us with open arms! I am a member of the San Diego location and recently visited the Channel Islands branch. The marina is gorgeous and has really cool amenities; pool, hot tub, bbq grill, gym, and free coffee! We had 5 different boats to choose from and were able to do some island hopping from Anacapa to Santa Cruz! Thank you Scott and Karen for the great time! We will be back!

Membership in the Carefree Boat Club is definitely something boaters should consider as an alternative to buying a boat, especially if they are new boaters. Having access to multiple brand new, safe and reliable island ready boats and the knowledge and training offered through the club is worth many times the minimal cost for membership. Membership is literally a fraction of what the cost of buying a used boat would cost (Factor items like: Down Payment, monthly payments, slip fees or storage on a trailer that also requires a truck, Insurance, Maintenance and the reality that you most likely will not be able to take the boat out every day to compensate for these costs). I have now been a member for a couple months and have taken all of the boat models offered out and can attest that they are an outstanding value. All you have to do is reserve the boat and show up. Super fun club in Channel Islands. Cant believe I didnt know about this sooner. You can literally use a brand new powerboat just about whenever you want. Went out and fished the islands. Only took 45 minutes or so to get out there. We got a cooler full of rockfish and came home and made fish tacos!! This is totally worth every cent. The boats are sweet. Theyre brand new boats!! Sound systems with bluetooth. Live bait well. The benefits just go on and on and on. Its literally like owning your own powerboat without all the headaches of ownership.
