Awesome covered bridge just outside of Oxford. Beautiful design to the bridge, and also quite long. He four mile creek below was shallow, maybe one to two feet. Ample parking is available. An Ohio Historical marker is present to explain the history behind the bridge.

Well kept, massive covered bridge. Nice spot to hop off the bike for a smoke break and stretch our legs.

Great fishing under the bridge as well as both upstream and downstream. Also has great historical value and a neat story.

One of the few remaining covered bridges in the area. Its amazing how a structure like this can last as long as it has, this one was built around 1869 and is still in its original location. Plus now it is part of a paved recreational trail that goes to Bonham Road.

Nice and easy trail with a couple of interesting attractions: horses, an old cabin, and bird watching.

The history on the sign was sort of interesting. I think if you are into bridges this may be worth a stop. I am not but it did allow me to stretch my legs.

One of the oldest sites in Oxford, the Black Covered Bridge gives a simple yet interesting perspective through a window in time. The area is even more highlighted today as a still functional walking bridge that connects the Oxford Recreational trail.
