The Reef Rack is super clean! They have super knowledgeable and friendly staff who make sure they contact you and ask the right questions. They really try to get to know you, your preferences, and your needs. The fish and coral are very well kept. I was happy to be shown this store. I have since brought other people and will continue to recommend The Reef Rack to other people.

This is a very nice store. One of the best shops for corals and inverts I have been to. Erin went out of her way to help me and answered all of my questions. She also gave me an awesome deal on a couple of the items I purchased. I live 3 hours away and will definitely make the trip back. Also they have priority overnight shipping to Kansas and Missouri for $19.99 which I will definitely be taking advantage of.

Im pretty proud that we have coral farm right here in Johnson County. Store staff are super helpful and store is very clean. LOTs of beautiful corals to purchase and just to look at. They also carry LRS frozen food and premium salts. Ill be visiting them often!

The Reef Rack is my favorite source for saltwater fish, coral, and supplies in the area. The store looks great and is always clean and inviting. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming to newcomers. Their tanks are well kept and stocked with coral that ranges from nice to pretty incredible. Highly recommend!

Everything was great until the end.My wife and I was visiting KC on mothers day weekend and she said she wanted to visit the reef rack and pick her out something special for her mothers day present.We stopped by and they had a sale going and and we thought great.She spent about and hour looking for her coral she wanted and found 2 pieces she liked then found a really nice and (expensive)one also.we told the young lady what we wanted and asked her if we could pay for them and they could hold them till we returned before they closed to get them package for our travel back home since we live in the other side of the state and she said NO PROBLEM Well when I returned to pick up our items she had a shocked look on her face and started to apologize.She goes on to tell me that the one (expensive) item my wife really wanted had been sold and all the other frags like it were sold also.I said so our coral that we paid for and was being held was sold out from under usShe responded with yes but we could pick out 2 lesser value items or a refund for the sold item.I took the refund and had to return to my wife and tell her what happened.needles to say she was not happy nor was I. We are very disappointed as we have watched the auctions online and were excited to be able to visit their location when we visited Kc.

LOVE this place! Every one is super sweet and friendly, know you by name. Great selection of corals and fish! Love that they QT all fish before they are sold. Can and will order in fish for you. Always have great prices and sales! My main go to place for any questions!

This is the best saltwater store in the area and perhaps the Midwest. Matt and the staff will bend over backwards to ensure you are taken of and that you will be set up for success. I refuse to go to any other store to get my fish and coral. If you are a reef geek and have not been to this place, stop what you’re doing and leave now!

One of the most costliest place to get corals from but has a lot of different types to chose from. I would say this is a place for someone with a very large established tank and not someone looking to start their hobby.Edit: After being in this hobby for a year now, I feel more confident buying my corals/livestock at a little extra cost(which I have learnt is part of keeping a saltwater tank) from Reef Rack as I have experienced a high success rate on the items purchased here. The owners of this place are very welcoming and you are almost certain to come back just for that one reason.

If I started up a fish store it would look a lot like reef rack. Lots of great corals growing and lots of great customer service. They dont have the deepest inventory of fish usually, but quality over quantity. The store is actually well staffed and youll be able to find the help and advice you need. The corals they keep are amazing and just fun to go see on their own.

Matt and his crew, are very knowledgeable and helpful. They have helped from day one of starting my tank. There is a lot of advise out there, but I always trust this team. They have an incredible selection of coral and fish and their prices are very reasonable. Looking forward in continuing doing business with them.

I dont know how I went a year without discovering this place, but I am sure glad I did. The owner, Matt, was very helpful and patient with all of our questions. There was a wonderful selection of corals and they all looked to be very well taken care of. The tanks were sparkling clean and the prices were very competitive. I will definitely be back!

The Reef Rack is incredible. Matt, Craig and Erin are incredibly knowledgeable and generous with their time. Great for livestock, hard goods and the purchase of an aquarium. We decided to purchase a larger saltwater tank and they were with us every step of the way. Reef Rack is the best.

100% excellent place for reefers and anyone thinking about making the switch from freshwater to saltwater. I have entertained the idea of switching from fresh to salt lately. The people that work here are passionate and super knowledgeable. Im am most definitely going to give a saltwater aquarium a try and I know where Im going for everything I need from now on. I was amazed by the friendliness and care that the staff gave me. Its definitely one of the cleanest, nicest, and most beautiful fish store Ive ever been too. I highly recommend going by if you have even a passing interest in saltwater aquariums. The workers there are so kind and helpful I felt right at home, I cant wait to go back.
