Amazing park been here for years and I love it still. So much fun for children of all ages

Wonderful Park with a Frisbee course. The bathroom arent open do to Covid, but you can sit in the many pavilions. If you like to watch red squirrel there are plenty to entertain you.

I love this place! Ive been coming to this beautiful park for well over 50 years, and still after all these many years every time I come I find something so beautiful I just want to share it with everyone. Yesterday was no different. From the mighty Oaks to Redwoods, trees of all shapes and sizes and in all different phases of their life span its all so much beauty to behold!The Forrest Park has quite a bit of history too, and from its creation to now it has been well maintained and kept up in excellence by people who love the beauty it has to offer. And over the past few years theyve even added more play equipment for children and a dog park for our furry friends too! So Forrest Park has something for everyone! A great pool, plenty of shelter to picnic in, a Frisbee course, Horse shoe court, baseball field and a paved walking path (have to share with vehicles) and so much beautiful grass to walk in, and lots of beautiful birds as well! check it out for yourself, I think youll love it as much as I do!

This park is very nice. So many different mini playgrounds with equipment for all ages. Very few people there. Note: bathrooms are closed.

Great place for your dog to run a little free without a leash as long as they are well behaved around other dogs.

Play areas are good for kids, Disc golf course is pretty good. Bathrooms were locked most of the time though, so make sure to prepare for that.

It is very big for a small town park. The restrooms arent opened up yet because of Covid 19 is the only drawback to this beautiful park.

Pretty decent place. Lots of space and not packed. Only negative is a lack of trees and shade.

It is a beautiful Park and I had a great time but I found it very unfortunate that the city decided to lock all of the bathroom facilities

It is a clean park with a grassy knoll on a hill where you can see a presidential parade if ever there was one. It has horseshoe pits with real clay as well as a Bark Park and shelter for parties of 15 so long as youre 6 feet away from the next humans respiratory droplets.

So much fun for the grandbabies and myself. Lots of updated play equipment! We love this park!

One of the best parks Ive been in, each year they improve on something. They even have a Breast feeding and changing tent. Ive never seen one in any other park. Great job Ottawa KS.

We were at the park with our 56 T-Bird for the Ol Marais River Run. There were so many cars, visitors, vendors and staff! I was amazed. And the coordination that was evident in the Saturday night cruise. The park itself is lovely. Shelter houses, pool, ball field, playgrounds all looked nice and properly maintained. I cant wait for next year.

Always love it at Forest Park! Especially on the sunny days, its my quiet place when I need some peace...

The Park is always very well kept and looking very nice. The equipment is maintained and it seems to replace any broken items quickly. I I am excited to try out that dog park.

Fun flat course with tight ceilings and lines. Beautiful big old trees. Well maintained but not all trees have concrete pads yet.

I come every year for the power of the past show! The facilities are beautiful...I only wish they had shower accessable restrooms. ^_^

Power of the past is a great learning experience...watched them thresh wheat..make bales of straw..grind feed...make wood shingles and rope.. fantastic day

My kids and I just love taking our puppy to the dog park. Forest park is a fun family time.

Some low spots that fill with water and get muddy. Otherwise a well maintained park. Clean and plenty of park activities to keep folks busy.

They had lots antique tractors and a nice laid-back atmosphere. Just have fun show to go to I always enjoy it.

Nice picnic tables, shaded areas, bathroom facilities. Good place for picnics, and birthday parties etc.

Love the offer playground and all the shade of the trees. This park has a lot of things to do for kids of all ages. The new disc golf courses seems pretty popular.

Power of the Past held in Ottawa, KS second weekend of September every year. Lots of fun, antiques, old time tractors and farm skills.

Really nice course fairly easy grass cut low not a long course looking forward to playing it again.need more cement launch pads would give it five stars then.

Great park & play area! Had grandson, Ezekiels 7th birthday picnic here Aug 26 at his request! It was nice to enjoy the sounds of summer with kids laughing, folks playing horseshoes & squirrels chattering & chasing each other. And lots of room for everyone! Only thing that could make it better is if it was air conditioned & had a river running through it Really it is a fantastic park!

Played a round of disc golf on some of the brand new and freshly poured pads. A great course to play disc golf. PS I wish one whole of 18 would be a little closer for an old man to be able to attempt a hole-in-one LOL

Smaller than a typical off leash dog park, so no walking trails, but big enough for dogs to run around and play while still in pain site. It has 2 areas, one for big dogs and one for small dogs. It seemed well kept and has benches and picnic table.

Car show was great even with some rain.

The best park in town. They do a lot of neat events here and the park is good sized. I took one star off because the city pool is here and they always close 1 month early every summer and also close at 6 PM so while the pool is there for residents to enjoy most who work dont get much chance to. I took another 2 stars off because ever since they put in the fenced in off leash area for dogs some people have become confused and let their dogs run around illegally off leash in the rest of the park. This is a huge safety concern as there are often a lot of families with small children about. Every dog is nice and safe until it isnt. Park needs better reinforcement of the dogs and also the motorists who speed. Otherwise the park is great. Love the horse shoe club too.

We meet here every two years for a family reunion. The park is well taken care of. Was born in this town & have fond memories of this park as a child.

Nice shady park with great events to attend

City pool is pretty good except for the blue paint around the edges. If you sit on it or lean against it, it will transfer onto your body and/ or your swimsuit. City refuses to use correct paint!

Ice skating rink was fun for kids.

The great place for families to have birthday parties and to just hang. But I hate how the bathroom stalls in the mens room dont have locks. It just kind of makes it more uncomfortable. Overall its great but I would really appreciate if they fix that minor problem.

Large Park for a small town. New Frisbee golf course. Old time playgrounds and new modern plastic playground. Ball fields, swimming pool, shelters, and restrooms.

Its a nice park but the bathrooms are always locked. We were there during the afternoon and there were several gatherings throughout the park and locked bathrooms are not a good thing.

Very nice theres very nice people big open space I go there to shoot hoops, ride my bike, and meet up with people if you like nature this is the place to be

Very nice place to relax and take a few minutes to unwhine; been going there for years to do that very same thing!

The kids love this park, several play grounds. Fenced in dog park. Baseball feilds. But only 2 restrooms, not very close to the play area.

Was a little disappointed on 9N parts and accessories that was available. Wasnt much.

Great historical city park featuring a kids play area, horseshoe pits, tennis courts, ball fields, swimming pool, a fenced in dog area and several gazebos to picnic in. And of course with all the oak trees, the squirrels are abundant.
