Great Museum !! A Go To Place !!!

Actually went the first time last year and found it very interesting, but were unable to your the boats due to bad weather. When we stopped by the other day and mentioned missing the boats they let us on the tour. Nice people. Only recommendation is if you suffer from allergies like myself take something before going because there is dust and other stuff that triggered me.

The grandkidlets were curious and enjoyed our trip to the light house and touring the rest of the facility.

Took a boat ride out to the lighthouse. The boat guide told the history of the harbor. Saw a hugh drege ship that has been dregeing the harbor. Inside the lighthouse a guide on each level continued to point out and inform us of certain items and events that took place. All in all it was really a pretty awesome experience .

This facility has undergone a complete transformation in the past 5 years and offers incredible information about the maritime past of upstate New York and Oswego. They offer lighthouse tours May through August every year and is a great place for children and adults alike.

Rich Mariner history and historic place. The ocean shows its fury at the base of the light house. Preservation projects underway. Many other historic parks everywhere in same area.
