Great little museum. We love exploring the tug boat! If youre lucky there may be a large cargo ship docked along side.
Loved walking through the museum and on there to boats you can walk through would reccomend every time!!
Very educational and informative!
This is 12 miles from our home ...sites off shore line of lake Ontario in oswego ny. Feels like your looking at the ocean.
This museum has it all. A real Normandy tug LT-5to a #8 Derrick boat to walk through. Inside the museum are beautiful displays of true native canoes through World War 2 treasures. A shining display of the magnificent port that Oswego has always been. As a bonus on Friday through Sunday you can take a boat to the working lighthouse and get a ticket for the museum afterwards. You won’t regret this visit.
My son loves this place. Its got a great little museum with a ton of history and a tug boat you can board and explore! Great gift shop where my son picked up a couple of very cool titanic pictures.
Really nice
Very knowledgeable your guide on the tugboat! Great museum! Very interesting! People are so friendly!
So much history beautifully presented from native Americans to present day. Great lighthouse exhibit. Friendly staff.
Go learn your history. Tour a ww2 tug.
American history, full of local history. Enjoyable experience.
Great, fun and informative. My grandson loved it too.
Great museum with a wonderful gift shop. Friendly informative staff give tours of the two boats in the property but the the museum is self guided. Fun place!
The H Lee White Maritime Museum is a fantastic place to learn about Great Lakes history on the oldest fresh water port on Lake Ontario.
Very interesting and informative. The staff is awesome.
This facility has undergone a complete transformation in the past 5 years and offers incredible information about the maritime past of upstate New York and Oswego. They offer lighthouse tours May through August every year and is a great place for children and adults alike.
Very Historical place its a nice tourist attraction if your not from oswego and want to no a little bit about oswego. Oswego was at one point a big shipping port and still is to this day but not so much as back in 18 and 19 hundreds. sense we have motor vehicle shipping and air shipping now.
Amazing local history. great volunteers! exhibit building size is deceptive. much larger (& fuller) than it appears, in comparison to 300 ft tankers that dock next to it on pier! Also several historic vessels- you can tour a couple, INCLUDED in an admission fee thats less than a fast food meal! Also a wonderful gift shop you can browse for free and find reasonably priced, diverse gifts, memorabilia and decor for self
Good place for great lakes history
