Excellent place for boating, fishing, and just a family day on the lake. The water is usually crisp and cold in summer, and the reliable breeze makes it a great place to just come and relax even on the warmest days. The boat ramp is large enough for most recreational watercraft, and its a popular spot for sailboarding as well.

The lake and facilities were great. Law enforcement had at least 4 vehicles and a trailer parked at the boat launch in the fire lane for training purposes while it was open to the public. Good luck launching a boat on there training days. Later on that day an officer was double parked in the fire lane totally blocking the road for at least a half hour just chating with someone and standing outside his vehicle. When asked to move his vehicle he replied that he would when he felt like it. When told he was going to be video recorded he waited until camra was produced and then ran to his vehicle to move it. Then proceed to wave as he moves his truck and trailor. When I tried to talk to lieutenant still on scene l was told that it was ok for them to park in the fire lane because they were training.The place was open to the public and law enforcement didnt think it would endanger the public if they parked in the fire lane. Not only that but they were rude about it and were disrespectful to the public. What a shame that they did all of this in front of there new recruits.I think the park should be closed so they can do there training. The public will be safer if we werent around them. So sad that they cant get along with the public.I do have video and badge numbers. They know who they are.

Place is so peaceful. Beautiful. Not crowded haven t caught any fish yet. Fish and game patrol are friendly.

One of the best places to take our jet ski. The water was clean. People respected the 6 feet distance. Bathrooms were well stocked.

I it was great plenty of room to launch nice dock.

Beautiful place for swimming and boating, but the police ruin the atmosphere and intimidate people into leaving often. Today they handcuffed a fam and had a lady in sitting on hot cement to search a car they found nothing inside and after about 30 mins of embarrassment and pain the family had been uncuffed. They should not be cuffing and randomly searching families and for that alone I will not be coming back.

This was a Good family DaY..easy access to WATER.. Bring shade tents..

Quiet spot to fish or swim and pick nick.

Its just the perfect place for the kids to swim.

The tables were caked with food, and the water was murky. The people were cool though

Right off the road, easy free access, and never over crowded. Boatlaunch, picnic/BBQ, beach, swimming, skiing, fishing, wildlife. Also great place to watch the wind and para sailors on windy days.

This is my go-to place when Im not fishing lake Oroville,it has a nice launch ramp plenty of parking handicapped bathrooms fish cleaning station and its a good size lake

Nice place but it could use a few things since theres only a few places to get in the water in the county... More sand on the beaches would attract a ton of ppl to hang out and use the shores. Showers and clean stations would be nice too. Instead its pretty quiet most days unless its a big holiday weekend. Just think if they charged $2 for parking and we had a really nice facility. Everyone could win...

Simple boat launch with bathrooms and fish cleaning station but theres a great View from the top of the hill overlooking the after bay 2 the Sutter Buttes Ive often seen photoshoots right here

Beautiful sunset whether there are clouds or not. Nice quiet location to have picnic. A great place to relax and enjoy the nature. They have free, public restrooms and toilet rolls included. I will rate the bathroom cleaniness to be 4 out of 5. Have plenty of parking spaces. I have seen many boats load back onto the car and it seem pretty easy. I love the location so much! 1 of my favorite location!

Clean facilities and easy to use boat launch.

I work for the Department of Fish and Wildlife. I was actually here planting steelhead in the afterbay. Its a nice little ramp that you can actually launch a decent-sized boat in. They have a couple picnic tables also. Nice little place to go if you want to get out on the afterbay and catch some of the fish I put in there.

Its ok for wut it is. But they really need to extend the boat launch area. So they can put in another dock etc so mor than one or two boats can get in & out at once. We had to wait almost an hr wen we wer there. Kind of rediculous.
