Really nice addition to the park I had passed by it many times but stopped there quickly today to check it out. The bathrooms are very nice and they have lots of information about all the local nature around the park. They even have an active bee colony on the back side of the building which is pretty neat. I will definitely be back to see more of what’s there soon!

I highly recommend stopping here if you’re in Ormond Beach. The center was very thoughtfully put together. If you want to know more about the nature that surrounds you, all you have to do is start reading the signs, match the pictures with the plants behind the sign and you’ll know what lives and grows in Florida. Great learning experience for people of all ages

Enjoyed a wonderful morning at the Environmental Discovery Center. The grounds boasts of many walking trails, several connected lakes where paddle boarding and non-motorcraft boating can occur, various gardens with flora and insects can be observed, and a 2,000 sq ft learning center is available for further exploration. We were there with our homeschool group where staff provided several stations for outdoor learning.

An amazing little entry into the natural world of Florida. They have lots of great hands-on items for kids to learn about the environment and wildlife around them, and its Free! There are binoculars available for use in viewing the birds and grounds outside as well as native species aquariums and educational materials. Built on a series of 5 small lakes, the Central Park has walking and biking trails as well as launches for kayak, canoe or SUPaddleboard, community garden space, and peaceful grounds (even a labyrinth). They have many free seminars for learning about the natural area. What a GEM!

What a beautiful oasis in the middle of an urban center! The labyrinth was a bit of a let-down, but otherwise, you couldnt ask for more. There are playgrounds for the kids, a community garden, lovely paths that will accommodate you and your furry friends, educational opportunities for the young and not-so-young and of course a wonderful, serene and natural setting.

Such a true gem in Ormond Beach. I cannot believe it took me this long to get there, but this location is wonderful and so educational for children and adults alike. They also have a summer program and various different programs throughout the year. We attended a program on raptors (Hawks and Owls). It was a terrific way to spend an hour and my granddaughter loves this location and the park that surrounds it.
