I stood observing the magnificent Oak tree in awe. It is truly a treasure to see. Easy to get to and can be seen from your parked car if you want. If you are wheelchair bound or ambulatory you only have to get from your car and cross over the lawn to be at the foot if this tree. It is just stunning.

I know this tree has a lot of dark stories behind it...! I have to admit I felt the opposite of dark when standing next to it...I felt a sense of peace and progression! This tree made me realize that no matter how hard things may get..you have.to continue to grow..!

This is what old Florida nature really looks like. The largest live oaks draped with Spanish moss Ive ever seen. Wonderful easy to hike trails lead to a natural spring and connects with other trails that make their way back to the river lowlands.

Actually a park with trails, not a muesuem . 2000+ year old Fairchild Oak tree as awesome. Hawks and owls and other bird life abound. If you plan on walking the trails make sure you wear appropriate clothes and have mosquito repellent. There are bathrooms and its handicapped accessible. Picnic tables and I think even some grilling stations. My favorite place to stop along the famous Ormond Beach Loop.
