Great dog park, lots of trees and space for the door dogs to run. Separated small and large dog areas and beautiful park to walk through.
The city of Orlando has done amazing things here in the past few months, especially to the dog park. This was the first time weve been there since March.(Because of the rain and pandemic (probably more the former, honestly), we were the only ones there so we let our small-in-size-only dog into the big dog side with her cousin.)The big dog side has added a sidewalk all the way to the brand new covered pailion at the far end. The water fountain has been moved inside the enclosure with a matching one on the small dog side. Theyve added a dog washing station (with a leash hook! ) just outside where the water fountain used to be.The water fountain that was halfway between the dog park and the parking lot has been upgraded to include 2 human fountains, a dog fountain, and a bottle filler.
I visited this dog park yesterday Thursday, and this place is fantastic to take your best friend (Dog). Unfortunately the big dog area is closed due to maintenance, but it’s worth it since they will add a few things to make the park even better, i read it will be ready for fall, I usually take my dog to Baldwin Park, but this places has a different vibe. Will come again! ️
Main park is good. Nice wide running trail. Dog park I don’t like- has small and large mixed. It is a collection of toy aggressive dogs or biters kicked from other parks. The park needs to divide out one or two sections while construction on other dog side. There is not enough area for social distancing during cooler hours. Gate gets very crowded coming in packed like sardines breathing. My friend had to leave due to cancer putting extra risk of Covid. There’s a reason so many people have dogs off leash around lake- we don’t want to deal with dog park craziness. Always be cautious along woods. Update: kennel cough!!!! Disgusting people.
Really nice small dog park! Biggest one I’ve been to yet. Has concrete tunnels for dogs to run through and tons of space for them to run to their hearts content. Definitely my favorite central Florida dog park thus far. Big dog area looks gigantic too!
It is quiet and breezy. There arent a lot of people here normally. I will say that while there is a dog area where they can be off leash, a lot of patrons still have their dogs off leash in the park. The play ground is closed at the moment but this place is perfect for stretching your legs after a stint inside.
Was very good. We picked up food at Steak n shake and ate our food at the Park of the Americas. A very pleasant evening. Thank You. How did you know?
Very nice quiet park. They did a great job with the dog play area.
Awesome park. Beautiful trail to walk or run bike. It has parking, dog park and play ground. Pretty close to 408 and executive airport.
Wide walkways, clean, lots of playground and exercise equipment, plus a nice 1/2 mile loop. Also, two large fenced in dog parks and covered picking tankless as well. Another cool thing, at the tables around the lake they have solar cells on the roof so you can plug in your phone or laptop if you need to all on solar energy.
This park has bathrooms and a nice walking trail around a lake. While the exercise equipment is unavailable right now due to Coronavirus can you use several Fitness stations to do exercises once they are reopened. If you like to play Pokemon go there are several gyms and pokestops here
Super nice park, small. Has divided small and large dog park sections. Public restrooms. And solar phone charging tables
We came for the dog park so that is what my rating is for. The small dog area is a good size but doesnt provide much shade outside of the little gazebos and a couple smaller trees. The large dog area, 35lbs+, is well shaded and curves around the small dog area.My biggest gripe is no water features. For it to be in Orlando and not have some access to a sprinkler or something of the sort seems a bit odd with the heat and humidity.Other than that it is a nice park for them to run around. There is a fountain outside of the entrance and some buckets to fill up. Great view, kids playground and a little lake to walk around.
Very nice park first time there nice walking trail
Kennel Cough Sept 3 and there were about 20 dogs there end Aug so expect it to go for months. Only buckets for water not faucet so spreads easily. It was from girl with white pit bull on Sunday who said it had kennel cough last week. I left ASAP but mine still got sick. His vaccine did not prevent. Some people that go here do not care about others or have no money for vets. It will go on for months. Huge bummer cause yards are too small for big dogs and now we can’t go here ever again.
Nice dog parks, but there are a lot of fire ants, and the water doesn’t work in the “large dog” park.
Beautiful, well kept secret. Rarely anyone there! Big fenced dog area, lake with running/walking/biking track around it, exercise stations, pavilions, kids play area. Great neighborhood park.
Nice park to take your dog too. Two large play areas, one for small dogs and the other for large dog. For walking, you have to go when it is not too hot because there is not much shade and you will get hit with the sun all the way around the walking path. Could use a little more exercise things to do around the walking path
Theres a great walkway around the pond which is perfect for skating, walking or jogging. Theres a decent sized doggie play area. The playground is small but the kids still enjoy it. Now that the playground is not shaded. Restrooms are clean with adequate supplies.
This is my favorite dog park in all Orlando. The owners are actually attentive and the dogs are super nice. I love bringing my pup here
Except for the weekend, the park is never really that crowded. We typically go in the morning & know most of the regulars. The owners I know are responsible and manage their dogs well. Trouble only starts when an inexperienced owner or shouter arrives.Come midday if you have a timid dog or one that doesn’t play well. The park is empty and you will have the field to yourself! The small dog park is also typically empty too. And it’s much larger than the one at Baldwin Park! However, I think this park was designed by a small dog owner. The main downsides are:1) Sand EVERYWHERE! They need to add more sod or turf to the large dog area. By contrast, the small dog area has grass & no sand.2) Small dog area has a nice shaded area & a picnic table. Big dog area has a small bench on top of a sandy dune hill - right near the (poop) trash can3) Only ONE fountain located outside the gate. Big dog owners have to haul up two water buckets up to the hill, and the water is typically dirty. Little dogs can get to the fountain easily, as it’s right outside their gate4) The county needs to find an eco- friendly to fumigate - there are little bugs5) With all that freaking sand, a pet bathing area would be spiffyAs mentioned, this park is a good alternative to the often over-crowded and unruly Baldwin Dog Park. Just know the downsides.
The dog park we normally go to closes at 6:45pm which isnt very convenient for people who work 9-5 jobs. It was already after 6pm when we could make it to the park tonight so we decided to try this one because its open until 9pm! It was dark and there were only a couple people there, but it was very nice! We will definitly be going back during the day on the weekend to check it out with more people. From what we saw tonight, just the layout of the park itself and the location right off of the highway, it was great. Seems to be plenty of parking, clean bathrooms and a nice lake. We also have twins on the way and this park seems ideal for the whole family. Im very excited that we found this park and at this point I would highly recommend it.
Nice park to work out or bring your dog. It has a fenced free run area. Workout stations and a nice trail around the pond to run. Some of the gazebo things have charging ports. Its nice and clean except for this one gazebo which had food/icecream stains. I hope people who ruin parks dont come here and ruin this one.
Very clean and well maintained
Nice hidden gem that the whole family can enjoy
Great park! Nice lake with a walking trail around it. Has a dog park and clean bathrooms.
Great dog park.
Great park but I wish there was more shade on the walking path side. Nice dog areas for both large and all breeds. Nice park for little ones but not much for older kids besides walking and the workout stations.
Staff are just wonderful people. The park is very well taken care of and just beautiful!
The park is in great shape. My puppy could run and socialize. I highly recommend this park.
This park is amazing! Best dog park!!
Very clean and friendly people... Enjoyed the dog park alot
Beautiful park. Great fitness portion and jogging circuit. Super serene.
Wonderful park and my dog loves coming here. Also great pond to run around with workout stations. Constantly making improvements in the park.
Our dogs, both large and small had a great time.
Cool little park to walk around. Also includes a dog park. Exercise equipment set up around the walking path. Seems like it would be an awesome workout to jog around and do the workouts.
F U GoogleI didnt even bring my phone with me. Stop spying on me.!
Need some more trees and water for dogs
Really nice and peaceful if you dont mind the occasional airplane overhead
Well maintained park. Love the small dog run area. Wish it was kept to under 20lbs instead of under 35lbs as that can be quite intimidating for my little 6lb pooch.
This park has become so much nicer since it has gotten cleaner. I think Its an important stretch of land for community and nature. Its been a good spot to exersize and bring the kids as well.If you have a dog you can let it loose inside and also a spot to give it water. Good stuff and thanks to the nature bois who cleaned up.
Love it, usually clean and people are always friendly
Great park. Two dog areas, playground, bathrooms
Nice park, not too many people come here.
The second time here and we love it so much we would live near by if we could! Every Sunday there is an amazing farmers market with an abundance of food options, native animals, activities, massage guy and shopping! Among other things, there are tons of people walking their dogs and or working out in groups including tai chi, yoga and aerobics!! The lake has one of the most beautiful fountains that is HUGE btw! Great photo opp and you can rent paddle boats that look like swans
Nice and quite place. Huge walking trail with exercises in between.
I like bringing my small dog to this park. HOWEVER, I have to keep a constant eye on my 8lb dachshund because there are several gaps in the fences and my dog easily escapes. (specifically with the gate that goes from the small to the big dog section and the gap under the entrance gate of the small dog park). It would be awesome if they could close these gaps so that I would not have to worry about losing my dog. Also it would be awesome to have watering stations in both sections. Overall, this park is a lot calmer than Baldwin, but it still needs some improvements.
Park of the America’s (The Nature Park) is a beautiful park. There is a sizeable track surrounding the entire lake and the scenery gives you a refreshing break from the typical busy vibes of Orlando. The track even stays adequately lit at nighttime via the lighting fixtures installed all along it for those of you wanting to walk/run/jog/etc. it while it’s open. And although I noticed the nice playgrounds, dog park, and restrooms, I spent my time fishing the lake from 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM and enjoyed every minute of it; every individual that I saw there was kind and respectful to the property. This park does have one big issue: the mass amounts of litter that have accumulated in the lake along with the filamentous algae. The water here is actually pretty clear, but the problem is that it appears to be so dirty because the floor of the lake is so topped with rotting vegetation, filamentous algae, and trash. The park clearly makes attempts to combat this and the rest of the grounds all appeared to be very clean. Unfortunately, plenty of trash still makes its way into the small lake. The city should have this lake treated and cleaned more routinely and/or organize a community clean up if at all possible; this is a very nice park and body of water and I’d be happy to help. So much trash exists in certain areas that I was unable to even cast into the lake and fish them. For those of you visiting to fish, the main food source appears to be fry and minnows; mass amounts of minnows. I didn’t see one, single panfish either; this doesn’t mean that they’re not there, but typically their presence is easily made known. I caught one healthy 2 lbs. largemouth bass off of the south shoreline with a Strike King Shim E Stick in Smokey Shad color. I caught another healthy 2.5 lbs. bass off of the northwest point (near the drain) using a 7.5” lizard in brown pumpkin color with a chartreuse tail, and I missed another strike off of the northwest shoreline with this as well. The chartreuse probably helped drastically to produce strikes because of the water conditions, and the heavy amounts of filamentous algae (especially concentrated along the west and southwest shorelines) made finesse style fishing a better choice. A decent amount of the time I put on a bullet weight and was basically punch fishing the thick vegetation throughout these areas as well. And when the sun was setting and the wind died down, it made great conditions for top water (especially a frog). I’m willing to bet that spinner baits would work great in here too, but come bearing patience if you’re not using anything weedless, especially along the west and south shorelines.Other than that, it’s a great park. Thank you to the city for already doing so well with this property! I’m excited to come back in the future and see what kind of bass that I can pull out of there!
A piece of heaven in the mids of a busy city!!
Has a wonderful dog park
Beautiful, huge. well-maintained park thats GREAT for dogs! If I had to say anything negative its that there are hornets/wasps trying to make nests in the shaded areas they built.
Nice pavilion and lots of open space for bounce houses. Also, beautiful view of the lake.
We love taking our lab the the park! Great space to run with some woods for shade. Also, a nice walking trail atound the pond.
We go to this park very frequently with another friend and her dog. Tonight we got there about 8:30, got to chatting, and then realized it was 9:30 pm (park usually closes 9). We walked up to both of our vehicles when we realized all of the gates were shut and locked. The person who locked the gates was just pulling out of the drive as we walked up to our cars. We were literally locked inside of the park! There is no reason the person locking up the park couldn’t have come and told us. We were there until Midnight before someone was able to get us out. If there are cars in your lot, and people/dogs who are clearly in the dog park, you should give them some sort of warning.
Big dogs are taking over the small dog side... Little dogs are vulnerable
Quiet park with small playground and large, fenced dog park. Small walking path around pond.
Awesome dog park, walking loop around a pond and playground.
We love this space. We have a big dog and he loves to run. This park has trees covering the dog space so its cooler for us to spend the time letting our dog run. Clean nice picnic tables under the trees. Really nice.
Nice park. Lots of seats. Would be better if people followed the rules on the signs. Saw big dogs in the little dog area, and a few people I noticed did not pick up their dogs poop.Would come back, just obviously gotta watch where I walk
Commissioner Tony Ortiz has created a fantastic park full of amenities for the entire family. Super secure and easy to reach it is a n oasis for the community.
Great place for exercising.
Wonderful park. Something for everyone. Exercise trails, dog park, nature, playground...
Awesome dog park. Fully fenced. Separate parks for small and large dogs. 2-3 acres in size. Big dog area 50% shaded. Nice water fountain. As of 2015 these place feels brand new.
Love it, huge park, almost never that many people
Nice parker and entertaining
Its great
Nice park and great place to walk.
Gery good dog park and have some exercises stations with instructions!
Good atmosphere, beauty and very well maintained and clean.
Love this place...getting a annual pass!
Very well maintained, lots of shade and running space for dogs. A great alternative to Baldwin Park when you dont want to deal with wet dog in the car. The only problem is not many people seem to know about it, so if you are going to find playmates, you may end up out of luck.
It has two good dog parks. one for little dogs one for big dogs. Theres a lake with some potential but not much going on with it yet. Theres a small playground for kids and its nice; well-maintained. Im looking forward to when they put in the track around the lake.
Love the wooded large dog run. The small dog run and walk around the lake also look nice. Park is usually show with only a few other people.
I enjoyed the park with others and I am glad that this park is so close to my home.
The Park of the Americas is a fairly new park with an excellent area for walking and jogging. It has a play place for kids and it is a dog park with little tunnels your dog can walk through.
Nice and relaxing place.
Not too many shady areas and water fountain is not conveniently located. But a nice dog park.
This park is great! It has everything, two dog parks (one for small dogs and one for large dogs), drinking fountains for pets and humans, plenty of doggy bags and trash cans so you can clean up after your pet, and a totally open area surrounded by a small lake. There is even an area to picnic, bbq, or just hang out under a shaded covered area. Its clean and well maintained, and there are restrooms available, not port-o-potties, but actual restrooms. This was a great find and I look forward on going back with my pet.
Quite and good for Kids 2-5 years old.
Nice little park.
Great park, nice little lake, climbing tree, playground, and open fields.
Dog friendly park.
One of my favorite parks in the area, it was recently redone and added to the Lake Underhill trail. The dog park here is HUGE and separated into big dog and small dog parks. My dog loves it here. As soon as we turn from Semoran onto Lake Underhill, he goes nuts on the window.
There service is good
Its a lot of dirt. For the large dog side small dog side is all grass. Only a bucket for water. And 2 bentches at the front by gate. Over all decent park for running dogs.
Big park with a kid and dog area. The dog area is really spaceous and the track is a decent size with work out areas along the way. It has 3 gazebos and a fiew grills. Looks brand new and its kept clean. Will be coming back with the family!
Was really nice and I love playing thereEspecially using the field for practice
My wife and I have been bringing our dogs here for a few years. Its our favorite by far. It is separated by size (SM dogs/LG dogs), its clean, with lots of room for the dogs to run and usually a good crowd. Water station, and potty bags are available.
Pond at back is a good hole for bass using shiners. No shade though.
Beautiful day and a beautiful park.
Is good for taking dogs, is clean and is quiet, sometime you can find some poop but is not maintence fault, some dogs owers dont want to clean the poop even that the park have bags for cleaning dogs poop. The only thing that is a concerns is that the dirt have small pieces of broken glass, but other than that I think is good
