Man, I want to give this attraction a 5/5 stars but it really lacks in the coaster aspect. Without the coaster being the main focus I really think this wasnt designed to the fullest potential. The Harry Potter scene in the movie was fun and exciting. This on the other hand, it takes you away from the coaster excitement in seconds to throw you right into a 3D scene.Note: Try and sit on the back row/cart, it feels more like a coaster than the first row/cart.The second issue I have are the lockers. If you come during busy hours you can lose your spot in line and that could lead to longer wait times. For how casual this coaster is, lockers arent needed I think. They focused on 3D too much on this, they should have had it in the beginning, tad bit in the middle and at the end. Something like what the Mummy has done and perfected it. This on the other hand just feels like an upgraded version of Spider-Man but on a coaster track. Its not a wow factor attraction. When you finish this ride you want more, not because you want to ride it again because you just want more coaster.

This ride is completely worth the wait, unless its going to be over 2 hours. On this visit, we rode it twice within about a 40 minute period. Totally worth that kind of time. In fact, the lines moved so quick that you didnt get a chance to just peruse the decoration and additional items. The ride is completely amazing as a mix of 3D video and moving sensations created by the roller coaster portion. It is truly amazing how you can know that youre not actually falling, but the sensation in your head and stomach tell you differently. It was very clean, very quick and the staff was very good.If you havent been here before, make a point to show up. If you have, come on back.

Ive had a dozen great experiences here! But now.... This is an absolute ship-show. Save yourself the money, theyre charging full price for half a park and the daily changing of policy and rules with no notification is insane. Just close, until you can offer an experience that isnt a 0 star experience.I could NOT regret renewing my annual pass more than I do right now. I feel like the biggest idiot on the planet.

Waited way too long for this ride (~2 hour wait, but had I known that single riders can get on in ~15 minutes) would have opted for that. Still, had a lot of fun on this impressive coaster/3D simulation ride. The setup of the bank is beautifully done and very much like in the movie. The ride itself is fun and well done. Not too thrilling (it’s technically a coaster but no big drops), but a lot of fun. The visuals were also very cool

The outside and the walk through the ride are amazing! The ride itself was not very long, but still really fun! I think the most thrilling part was, since it was a 4d ride, you had no idea what was going to happen next. You couldnt tell if you were going to drop or soar really fast or what was going to happen. It was definitely a top favorite in the park.

Review №43

The only ride in Diagon Alley. Its a simulated roller coaster ride with movie clips. No bags so lock up your belongings before getting in line. The line queue allows you to walk through the bank to see the Goblins and watch a video before boarding the elevator for the ride. The ride starts with your cart turning down to a 45° angle and doing a drop of maybe 15 feet. This is the only one and the worst part; the rest of the ride is pretty easy.

Once again, as Universal as done with its Harry Potter Attractions, they have outdone themselves again. It’s so much fun being able to be immersed inside the world of Harry Potter and they spared no expense while creating this ride. The line can be very long in the summertime so be prepared to wait. But it’s very worth it.

This was a very fun, unique and interactive ride. As the name of the ride suggests, it is reminiscent of the 8th movie, so you get to the vaults in an elevator and the ride is in the gringotts cart with 3D screens all around for the whole ride and it is awesome! You do need to wear 3D glasses though, so if you wear regular glasses but have contacts lenses with you, now it the time to wear them. Except for the first drop - which really is still not that bad honestly - this is definitely the most relax ride of the Wizarding World. I definitely dont like big rides and this one isnt scary at all. So, for those who are scared like me : Dont worry, there is no upside down 360°! I highly recommend this ride: is it very different and fun! I did ride it twice : the first time there was a 30 minutes wait. Dont get scared by that amount of time because it didnt feel that long at all and it was very cool to visit Gringotts while waiting, which was so beautiful and just like in the movies. The second time, we got there at the opening of the park with our early admission and there was a 10 minute wait. But the wait times can get way longer during the day so, if you want to do this attraction, the best thing to do would be to get to the park right when it opens and rush to Gringotts. Note that you have to leave you bags in a locker. If you need a bigger locker, it costs 2$. But in the end, although I love this ride, if you have intense epilepsy (because if the 3D screens) I would not recommend it.

Li

Tons of cool things to look at as you walk thru the building... the ride itself is short and kind of “meh” ... for lack of a better word.I’d say it’s worth it if the wait is under 40/45 minutes - a great one to get out of the way first if you have early park access.

Great ride! The first time we rode it, it felt pretty thrilling, the second time, not as much. Its clear that its more thrilling when you dont know whats going to happen. The reridability isnt the greatest, but if the lines start to shorten up, it can be worth a reride.

Loved the ride, setting is great, the action is there (although Helena B Carter and Ralph Fines overplayed a bit in one of the scenes and I wish it was tad bit faster), but I give it three stars purely because I hate the damn lockers. You dont need them for this ride if you made the cars properly. Its not that crazy to sent things flying. Universal just wants more money! Well, two can play that game because I made sure I didnt have to use your overpriced garbage lockers

There is no check in area for overweight people to see if they can fit the ride. After an hour long wait they reject you from riding. How convenient. Why is universal Studios going an extra mile to single out fat people. You would think after money you spent on a park they would do some research or at least warn riders to check if they fit the ride before waiting. What a waste of time and money. Never coming back to universal Studios. Go to Disney they have much better fun to offer.

We had very high expectations. Although the ride was fun it was so short we were underwhelmed overall. There are many other rides which are much better and have more reasonable wait times. Definitely check it out but only if the wait time is 75 minutes or less. It took us about 90 minutes or more before we boarded and the ride was over in what seemed like 90 seconds... Fun while it lasted but the return on investment was not sufficient....

Hard to rate it down for the long lines, as they are not a surprise, but there is an expectation that the digital “wait time” posted outside the attraction is somewhat accurate. This was and continues to not be the case on this attraction. Other than that the attraction was whimsical and fun.If you have any affection for the Harry Potter genre this ride will be well received. A mix of CGI and roller coaster, the world of Harry Potter comes to life for a few minutes.

I liked the ride, but not as much as the Hogwarts castle. There are a lot of stairs up and down towards the end of the line area and after the ride that detract from the pleasure of the ride. It is 3-D, but not super terrible for those that cant handle 3-D normally. I think the reason its not as good as the other ride is the lack of story line to the ride. They tried, but its very obscure (IMO).

Great decor in the queue but the ride fell short for me. Show scenes move quick and from screen to screen, the audio is really hard to understand because of how fast the ride moves along, and is just too muffled. Took a couple of rides to fully understand the plot.No big show rooms that you spend a long amount of time in, I prefer the ride at Hogwarts instead because it features large animatronics. Opportunity missed for such an iconic part in the movies. The Mummy remains the best ride at the Universal Studios side of the resort for me.
