Disappointing! My husband & I decided to try our last room at Escapology in Orland Park. While the room was challenging & fun, we did get to a point where we needed guidance & asked for a clue, again & again with no response from our game master. After nearly 5 minutes I left the room, went to the front desk where the control room is, only to find the 2 individuals sitting there, turned away from the monitors, both busy at work ON THEIR CELL PHONES. I said “hey, we’ve been trying to get a clue for about 5 minutes,” startling them both (if they were doing their job, they would’ve seen me leave the room). They claimed “technical difficulties” however they seemed to be able to hear us just fine after that; they claimed they gave us “10 extra minutes” but by my watch it was about 4. And lastly, when our time was up, they sent the person who just started in to get us since I’m sure they heard my complaints about them being on their cell phones and not doing their jobs. When Escapology first opened, it was excellent, but our last 2 experiences there left a lot to be desired. For the money you pay for an hour experience, you expect the staff to pay attention & do their job and not be engrossed in their cell phones. I will no longer recommend Escapology to anyone.UPDATE: The day after I posted the above review, Katie, the manager from Escapology reached out to me regarding our experience. We talked and she apologized for the staff being on their cell phones, calling it completely unacceptable, and promptly issued us a refund (she said normally they would invite us back to try another room for free but since that was our last room, she refunded us). Katie showed that Escapology cares about its customers and its reputation. Katie gets 5 stars ️️️️️ for her quick action and professionalism-thank you!

We had a Great Time in the 7 Deadly Sins Escape Room! It was so much Fun! We will Definitely be planning another outing to come and experience one of the other rooms!Our critique would be, there was really nothing in the 2nd & 3rd room for us to go off of in solving the tasks! However, our Game Master Katie was Super Awesome with helping us out with a few clues!Our suggestion would be, to put a riddle in each room! At least that would give players a foundation on where to start with solving the tasks!All in All, bring a group of friends and GO for it! The more minds working together the Better! Great Experience, COVID Regulated, Safe, Fun, Exciting and Highly Recommended!

You have to go thru the bowling alley and walk to the sign that says Escapology. We had a very fun time. Didnt escape the room in time but working together was so much fun.

Love the games. The staff are so so. The girl was GREAT and POLITE the guy was just cordial. I love escape rooms and escapology is too notch in my book so far. Pricey but worth it

I love Escaplogy!!! In the last two weeks we have done Lost City, Manor, and Seven Deadly Suns. The rooms are amazing and so different from one another. The ambiance of the rooms makes the rooms come alive. Jimmy a game master is really friendly and knowledgeable. The best part of Escaplogy though is Thomas! He is a great worker and keeps the ambiance alive. He is very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are amazing but the staff is what makes us keep coming back.

We had an amazing time! So much so we jumped into a second room immediately! Thomas and Jimmy were our game masters and were just lovely. They really made the rooms so fun and we cant wait to go back!!We played the Mansion and 7 deadly sins, both were amazing! 7 deadly sins was beautiful and creepy throughout the room.We are planning to come back and play all the rooms!

I had an absolute blast! The room/puzzle was interesting and the room was clean. Steve and everyone one else (I am so sorry I forgot your names) were friendly and helpful. I.plan to go again to try another one of the 6 or 7 rooms they have available. Its located inside a bowling alley so if your GPS tells you that you have arrived and youre sitting in front of a bowling alley, believe it.

Went to Escapology with family for my daughters birthday. Great staff and was fun family entertainment. Fun to solve the mansion murder, but it was challenging to do.

I bought a fantastic Groupon for this place and it was awesome! My 13 year old son took 5 friends and they had a blast and were able to go independently and they chose the murder mystery one. The room is for an hour and theres four to choose from.The location is in the Orland Bowl (south side), with parking in the back. Have to get there 15 mins early so they can give directions.If youre not participating, the bowling alley also has a bar/restaurant on the other side too. The waiting area is nice though with couches. Well definitely be back!

My family did the Scooby Doo room. It was awesome!!! You will not be disappointed!

Considering the variety of room choices, amazing tricky puzzles and cheap prices, overall this was a great experience! When booking a room you get to do the room with just your party which is a great feature. I did the 7 deadly sins room with my mom, dad and little sister. It was really hard! I think the room is best for 18+.We will be back!

Fantastic time, awesome decor! We went as a large group that split up into 2 rooms. They were tough, but we had a fantastic time trying to escape! Can’t wait to try more rooms!

I was in a group of 4 & we did the 7 deadly sins. It was awesome. The staff was so amazing from when we walked in, the young man at the front desk was so friendly. & our game host was super cool. The puzzles were fun & we made it with 2 minutes to spare. I loved it & so did the rest of my group. Will definitely be going back!

We had such a great time! For starters, we didnt even realize that Orland Bowl had an escape room, and when we realized it, we were sceptical. But it was so great! They did a fantastic job on the different rooms and the storyline (we did Saving Santa) was cute. Our game manager, JP was amazingly helpful as we fumbled our way through the room (we thought it would be easy but got a reality check) and we laughed the entire time. Will definitely be back!

Escapology is the best escape room we have visited. We choose the Mansion Murder. It was challenging, definitely a group effort to succeed. The manager Jimmy Havlin and his staff did a fantastic job ensuring we all had a great experience. They also offer a package which includes bowling, pizza, and an escape room challenge. Great family night out. A lot of fun. We will definitely be back to experience all the other escape rooms.

True to the Escapology brand. Gamemasters were helpful. Having played Escapology in several states, the Orland Park location does not have my favorite rooms; however, 7 Deadly Sins and Lost City are terrific sets that I hadnt found yet at other locations. Now, both rooms are harder than Escaplogys average so I recommend larger groups or more experienced players.

Saving Santa room was advertised as too easy for adults so bring the children. Turned out really hard for the children and just as hard for the adults. I think if it is geared for children to have a fun experience that the room should not be that difficult for them to do on their own. It should be a little challenging but not too hard that they can’t figure it out on their own. Very disappointed. Also the Santa ending and gift was also disappointing, especially to the children. The money spent on the room of Saving Santa could have a better outcome once you get to the end.

This was a blast. We did Antidote and made it all the way to the last puzzle. Even though we didnt win, we had a lot of fun. Staff is very nice and friendly.

This place was so much fun! Everyone here is so nice and will help you when you need it during the game. Two of us did the murder mansion, and we got to the last puzzle but ran out of time. Nonetheless it was an awesome experience and I highly recommend it!

I will admit, I was a little skeptical when I found out the escape rooms were inside a bowling alley. I was pleasantly surprised with the room design and difficulty of the puzzles. Had a great time with my group!

This was hands down the best escape room! My family of 8 did the mansion murder for Christmas, and we made it out with 32 seconds to spare!! It was a great family bonding time, and we all worked together to escape. Wonderful set up and our guides were extremely helpful! Thank you to all of the staff for making it a memorable experience.

A fun-packed hr of clue solving! Helpful, friendly staff, multiple themes to choose from, nicely dcorated. But PLEASE put a sign on putside of bowling ally directing us to the back of the building. Or paint a giant arrow on the driveway, anything to make it easier to find the entrance to this place.

One of my favorite escape rooms so far. Ive been to 5 different escape rooms and this one definitely looked the nicest. The staff there were very nice. We were able to escape the mansion murderer one and we plan to try the rest in the near future.

We had a group of 4 do the Mansion Murder room. It was so much fun. It really does make you think outside the box. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I loved that the staff gave us clues or told us what we had right but didnt give us the full answer. It was fun. The rooms looked great too!!!! We are ready to do another room!!!

This is my first time I’ve rated someone, but I had to start to share about this place. We went here for a family reunion. We split up into 2 groups of 5 so we could have a group staying home with the kiddos while the other played and we competed for the best time. Their waiting room is nicely decorated. We did the “Under Pressure” room and were very impressed. It was challanging and rewarding as we progressed through the room. Best escape room we’ve done by far, and we’ve done many. The staff was all very friendly. We would definitely recommend this place!!! They don’t have a sign on the door but go in at the back Bowling entrance.

We had a bday pizza, 2 escape room party package for 12 kids and 4 adults. The staff was super accommodating getting us into the rooms at the same time. The rooms were very clean & just the right amount of challenge for all

As a surprise for my birthday, my fiancée set it up to have my family in the room waiting for me as we went inside. We all had a blast!!!! We worked together, cheered each other on, yelled at each other and laughed the entire time. The Antidote room was awesome. We’re all excited to go back and try the other rooms!!

This place is completely utterly foolish from the moment you arrive until the very end. It is an utter scam and a waste of one hour or so of your existence. You pay to figure out riddles for pathetically set up furniture that is so old and the theme is completely boring and weird and time consuming. Extremely strange that its also inside a bowling entity. There is no fresh air it feels like your rebreathing dusty old trapped air and the intercom idea is beyond bizarre and the stress of getting through the idiotic game is not worth it whatsoever! It feels like you are trapped trying to solve something that you are forced to be involved in!! Any pastime would be better than spending it here. Even taking a walk in the fresh air or doing any other activity than this. It feels institutionalized and the pathetic picture at the name with the slogans is so foolishly elementary. Escape from this place!!!

Excellent room, we did mansion murder and were impressed with the overall design and puzzles. One of the better rooms in the area.

Our group of 6 did Murder Mansion and had a great time. The puzzles were challenging with out being impossible. Would recommend to friends and come back to attempt other rooms. This is inside the orland bowling alley.

Excellent group activity for both children, teens and their parents. The staff was super.

It was great. We didnt get out, but we are willing yo try it again. We could not understand the goal besides getting out and it may have made it harder, but we will do it again.
