It is so cool seeing the second largest waterfall with its torrents of water coming down.

One of the best historic places I have been to. The old highway is wonderful, original rocks on side of road, watching the falls with the empty paper mills is very Erie, but thats what makes it so cool and it just draws you in more. Everyone should absolutely go and see this majestic place that takes you back in time and dont forget your camera

Great piece of American history, the ending of the Oregon trail and the settling of the land and river to our benefit. Through the Sager family and the movie Seven Alone, I have wanted to check this off the bucket list. I am glad our family came.

Interesting view of the falls and the different levels of water. Lots of old buildings, most abandoned? You look down at the area and cant help but think that the area needs to be revitalized. I would love to sit on a patio down there and wonder thru shops and businesses. There is a plaque that talks about the history of the locks and paper mills but I thought this was also where the native Americans USED TO SALMON FISH? That should be mentioned and it would be cool if the practice was restored! I could not see how large ships used to traverse the locks? That would be cool to restore also.

This is oregon city good spot for history. But thats not allPeople travel for miles to see it.And boring sets in all walks of life..Cant go downto river no where. So its just a stop inThe rest of.o.c. has so much history. The elevators great.Old houses, library,Museums, oregon history of lewis and clarks oregon trail end park .Plan all the sites if you want to see o.c. loop .Once again the fallsSightseeing.from above is just a sight10 min is about sufficient.

Small parking lot ight off a busy main road and no walkable trail. Good for pictures, bit re-entering traffic can be rough because cars drive at high speeds.

What a way to be introduced to Portland Oregon. Amazing history. It will be awesome if the City ever gets the revitalization off the groud. Tours would be fascinating of the old buildings.

These falls are small in height but big in water volume. I wish Portland would clean up around them and make a walk way to see them closer...

This is one of the most disgusting sights I have see. What should be an amazing natural wonder was long ago destroyed by industry. To view it now is to look upon a cesspool of decaying buildings completely violating a once proud and amazing sight. I hope the efforts to reclaim these falls are successful. I would not spend the time to see them again or recommend it to anyone else unless nature is dramatically restored. It made me re hate all that is a metropolitan city area. The city should be ashamed to call this their history.

I had read the history of these falls prior to the visit. I thought it would be incredible to see them in all their glory. What i got instead was a great view of how selfish and discusting humanity is. Nothing in the original history i read prepared me for the eye sore in front of me. I stood there in disgust. I didnt even take a photo as i truly did not want a record of such an embarassing and gross use of a natural wonder. It is literally a road side pull out with a great view of poluted waters and spillways where people had dammed it up for the mill and industrious buildings they placed here. A stunning native amarican land mark destroyed by the selfish white man. Dont waste your time visiting this place. The trafficand eye sore is not worth the trouble.
