Came here on free museum day and got lucky to be there before the crazy crowd hit. There are different things in bloom in different seasons. Right now there are mostly camellias. I can imagine that during spring it will be very beautiful. Lots of gorgeous large trees, lots of beautifully made arbors. So much to see and take in. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes. Theres a lot of walking to do! Would love to see the garden in other seasons.
This place is so rad! Yes...I just used the word rad. Because it is. We went for a Cub Scout volunteering service project. Our boys ran all over the garden, picked up leaves, raked, played with Nala the sweet puppy who loves to play fetch and learned all about composting. Not only is it a gorgeous place to go walk around and hang out...there is a ton of work to do. So roll up your sleeves and go help out this beautiful place.
In the very back at the bottom is a playful nature garden perfect for children to explore nature and be creative. There arent any play sets or plastic toys. They do have some picnic tables to enjoy a snack. Its a lovely little nature escape.
Beautiful, serene, refreshing natural space! wood, stones, mud, tunnels, flowers, bugs - so much to explore :) if you are looking for a play set, go somewhere else..
Nice natural garden, but also has a natural play area in it in the far corner. At first seems unimpressive but it turns out to be great fun for kids 2-12 for rock scrambling, hide and seek, etc. We had a great time.
Hidden gem. Hard to find unless you know where it is. Beautiful gardens. Great for kids.
Great layout and native plants!
