Stayed here last minute last night on my way up from Tampa. They are basically just an RV Park but the caretaker, Jeff allowed me to set my tent up there for a very nominal fee. WOW!!! What a nice guy! This park is immaculate! Cant say enough about how nice Jeff was and what a great job he does managing this facility. Very clean, safe, hospitable! I will surely stay here again. Not sure what Jeff makes but he certainly needs a raise! Way to go buddy!

Lots of activities for a great camping experience- felt far away, but close enough to interstate if you needed to buy a forgotten item

Park operated by the city of Opelika, AL. Quiet, simple campground with clean and warm bathhouse – important for us since our diesel heat wasn’t working properly when we arrived! There was a lot of water pressure for the warm showers we enjoyed. DO NOT – repeat, DO NOT follow Google Map directions entering from the east. This route directs you to turn left off 280 onto Meadow Mills Road, then right onto Lee Road. This route requires a drive of about 1.5 miles on a red dirt road, which would have been impossible to navigate in our 40 ft motorhome if wet. Instead, enter off Marvin Parkway – all those roads are paved! The park itself is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage. Easy drive into Opelika, which has several interesting and tasty places for a drink and meal.Rate: $35/cash or check. No credit card accepted.

This is a beautiful park that always kept clean. If your looking to go walk some trails or just enjoy the open fields this is the place for you. The rich history of the land makes everything just a little better aswell.
