Super huge zoo! Took 6 hours to see most of it definitely a whole day kind of activity. I cant wait for more exhibits to open, sea lions should be there soon! Bring water and good hiking shoes! Quarters if you want to feed the fish which was a blast. My favorite would be the jellyfish exhibit.. there were so many different kinds Camaras dont come close to how majestical they truly are

I spend so much time at our amazing zoo giving my money to help many animals and grow the zoo! I hope someday we could beat the heck out of San Diegos Zoo since we got so much land and can make it look newer every time! Next to it doesnt count is Animal Kingdom in Disney but Im sure well do a heck of an amazing job giving animal a place in need! Im always excited to be back everytime I drive out from the west side of the state! Keep it up staff on making it more amazing!

BEST zoo that I have ever been to. I grew up here and even when I have moved away I come back almost every year to visit. The park is always so clean and each year they add something new. I love experiencing this exciting place with my friends and family. I will recommend this park to my closest friends and family.

Best zoo Ive been to. Very family friendly. Walking straight through and seeing everything takes about 5 hours. They dont check bags at the gate that Ive noticed. Id recommend bringing in food and water if youre on a budget, its theme park prices for food and drinks in the zoo. Theres a lot to do indoors if the weather isnt the best.

We always have fun when we go to the Henry Doorly Zoo. Weve been multiple times over the past two years and theres always something new to see. This year they have a new sea lion exhibit. The best part is that we have a membership so we can go as many times as we want. During colder weather, there are plenty of indoor areas to explore. Lots of fun.

Awesome and what an amazing experience it was. No wonder they got the best zoo award once.Parking:Better to reach early at least half hour before opening as it tends to get crowded and you would have hard luck finding parking there. We visited on weekend both Sat and Sun and it was pretty crowded. Not sure about the weekdays.Food:We took our own food inside as a lot of people did. The zoo is huge and better to carry your own food and water. I think there are two cafeterias where they sell eateries.Kids:Infants wont have anything to do in the zoo. Toddlers would love it and so do small kids. Huge park for kids with a lot to play and also a small water park kind of section where they could just bathe and chill. Teenage onwards can enjoy what adults would. Two days is definitely the least you would need to explore the zoo. Anything less and you would miss sections.

I definitely would recommend the Skyfari!!! I also recommend that you bring a small cooler with bottled water and even your own pull along when its hot. That way you dont have to rent a stroller or buy soda for $4 or a $3 bottle of water. Other than the prices for beverages a must see for anyone! The Omaha Zoo is a great place for family of all ages. They have a wide variety of animals from many parts of the world. I reccomend this place to those who want to go on a mini adventure. Its full of excitement and with great food all around the park. Many visitors favor the penguins in the aquarium, as well as the sea lions. Watch the elegant elephants roam their habitat, and try to spot some ostrich eggs along the way. Lions and tigers and bear oh my, but they can best be seen in my opinion, in the evening when folks start heading out. Be an elephant and dont forget, their gift shop is open and full of souvenirs for the kiddos!

Such a great experience and the exhibits are gorgeous. The African Grasslands and Asian Highlands are spectacular and have an almost theme park feel. Our personal favorites on this trip were Gorilla Valley and Orangutan Forest. As a child my favorite place was the Lied Jungle, but was a bit bummed we were unable to explore the ground level due to safety protocols. But I get it- Healthy you, healthy Zoo. The exhibits are mostly beautiful. Some seem very small and would like it better if they had more space. We only had the chance to stop at two of the three open food locations available. One was at the front entrance. One was on the opposite side of African area. The one we missed was next to the water area. But we missed that one the first time around because we went thru the gorilla exhibit and it bypassed the other area. So we did not get to another drink location until over halfway thru. By that point we were all overly thirsty and dehydrated. It was a hot day and we did not know we needed to bring water with us. There was not even a water bottle refill station that we saw. We had decided to ride the sky ride over to the beginning to get drinks from the aquarium restaurant, but you could only get on the sky ride from the one side. When we finally got to the food location to get water, we had to wait in line just shy of an hour in the sun. We spent over $60 to get water and ice cream cones for us all. I had to purchase two bottles per person because we drank the other one while waiting for ice cream, very thirsty. The facility was also very crowded and they did not seem to be worried about the amount of people in the aquarium. Spacing and masks were not enforced by anyone. But they were very strict about people not going in the entrance before their scheduled time. We arrived at 8 30 and was told we could not get in before 10 because we were from a reciprocal facility. We also were not allowed to reserve tickets online to help solve this problem. I wanted to stop into guest services to get more information but this area was also closed. There was no one to discuss this with. The admissions staff did not have answers for me. I do not see me taking my family back to the facility. World class it is not!!

Do I love the Zoo? Yes. Its a great place to visit! However I cannot deny the fact that the staff gets ruder and more unwelcoming every time I visit. This is actually the one thing keeping me from moving from member to donor! I keep supporting the zoo as I know its a great asset to the community as well as the tourism it bring. But every year when it comes time to renew I will say that it gets more difficult everytime as I dont feel like welcomed by the staff. I am always left feeling like Im just a wallet with legs that is a bother for being here. I think this will be the last year I renew as I have been spending more time using the zoo membership to get half off at the KC zoo where the staff is always warm, informative, and hospitable.

This zoo is amazing! From feeding rays to being up close and personal with animals of all sorts, you can’t go wrong. It is an expansive facility with plenty to do, to see, to eat, and even a giant splash pad for the kids. A sky-fari. A ski lift that carries over animal exhibits to a train and bridge to feed fish from. You could spend an entire weekend here. An aquarium that is amazing, a jungle that feels like the real thing and the desert dome!!? You have to experience this. Plan on spending 4 or more hours here to get to the big places. You’ll want to spend all day hanging out.

Reason why Im lowering the stars now is because I came for labor day weekend on the webiste you can reserve your ticket for a time slot but when I arrived noone was wearing maskes or social distancing. To have an aquarium, desert dome and butterfly garden, adding to the already spacious zoo makes this venue well worth the money spent. Although the butterfly garden was closed, we got to see a lot of the zoo with most of it still open to at least viewing all creatures big and small. We happen to go to the penguin area when they were feeding them and the penguins gave us quite a show. Orangutans were mischievous as ever and were engaged with our group. We paid the $6 to do the Skyfari which was worth the money as well. Hope to return one day! I had kids ages 17, 15, 12, 11 and 3 in our group plus 3 adults. We all loved it! My husband and I visited the Omaha zoo while traveling through Nebraska. We made online reservations, as recommended to keep it at 50% capacity. What a joke. It was so crowded that even indoor exhibits were risky. We couldnt go to the Aquarium as the line to enter looked like a line to enter a concert. Crowded outside with very little regard to masks, half of the sanitizer stations were empty. There was overgrowth of weeds and vegetation. Landscaping practically non existent. It was a sad place for the few animals we saw. It was not an enjoyable visit. Dont waste your money! With these prices, $50 for two people, the animals deserve to be living in a nicer environment. Gave 3 stars after the office manager was unprofessional, impolite, & simply rude this morning. Because we were wearing Halloween costumes (w/ props) when we arrived (6 days before the actual holiday) & the zoo isnt sponsoring anything today for Halloween, he refused to let us enter. He stated, you cant come in with those weapons. We arent hosting an event today & it isnt close enough to Halloween Day for you to enter wearing costumes. I was wearing 2 obviously non-lethal, fake swords on my back (part of the costume for my character Im portraying, one is teal blue & other is black). Its freezing outside (temperature continued to drop), my a daughters had to wait at the entrance while I ran foam props all the way across the parking lot to my truck & back. However, now, after being treated poorly by another & separate uncouth representative of the Henry Doorly Zoo in the Lozier Theater, Ive removed 2 of the already sorely rated experience of 3 stars. We had just come into the building from the 32° freezing cold outside, I used the restroom to wash my face. I purchased our tickets & was cleaning the fog from my daughters glasses when this crass woman starts hollering at me because Id removed my face covering to clear the lenses. I turned to face her so its unequivocally transparent what I was doing. When I didnt instantly pull it back up she began bellyaching under her breath, still loud enough for my daughter to ask dad, whats her problem, she can see youre just cleaning my glasses? Well still make the best of this trip, luckily we didnt travel all this way for the camaraderie!REALLY?!?
