The facility is an amazing place to work out, but the Injury Prevention & Care clinic is a complete joke. I went there with runners knee seeking some advice but the kid there told me she didnt know anything and didnt run. So I guess Ill have to make an appointment with a real Injury Prevention & Care clinic. I have no idea what the one in H&K actually does. I suspect the kid just wanted me to leave so she could go back to playing candy crush on her phone. Also I pulled into the parking lot and women ran out and told me I had to park across the street because I wasnt allowed to park in this lot for another 10 minutes. Didnt the cop say anything to you? No, I just pulled right in and parked. Had to go park in a totally different lot rather than sit out on the road for 10 minutes to wait to park in an empty parking lot. Just very odd behavior.
UNO is so awesome to open their facilities to youth organizations! This is a fantastic facility! Thanks for making experiences great for kids!
As an alumni of this institution I would hope that I would be able to use this facility for no charge or at a discounted rate. I recently went to workout, other individuals were walking through the gate without being charged and I had to pay. I have paid thousands of dollars to this school for a degree. Please take this $6 as my alumni donation
The gym is great. The equipment is always in working condition and there is plenty of equipment so no waiting on line for others to finish. They also offer rock climbing, swimming, hot tub, and plenty of basketball courts.
First time visiting and thought it was a very nice facility. Staff was very nice as well!
Thank you for Hosting us. South Sioux City Cardinals appreciate the invite.
UNO has many pros & cons to its Wellness center.Pros:Lots of variety like 2 different weight rooms, swimming pool, basketball courts, and more.1 weight room for lifting and another for cardioDecent locker rooms that have sonaIndoor TrackCons:(Unless you get their around 6-6:20 am) Parking is garbage. (your next closet parking lot if surface pass is weber but that lot is full by 7)Have 4 racks for squatting that are usually fulllockers are big enough to have 1 maybe 2 bagsLocker room is broken up into smaller areas and if busy become crampt. But Overall its a decent place to go (especially if your a student)
Ive been working out here on and off for 30 years. There are many pros and cons. Pros: Beautiful workout spaces. Many machines, most of which are new, great natural light, and very clean. The indoor track, pool, jacuzzi and rock climbing room are all amazing. *Most* of the time you dont have to wait to use equipment. The massage chairs near the atrium area are also pretty cool. I find this to be the best gym in Omaha and continue to work out here in spite of all of the cons. Cons: As an alumni, your membership costs more than a guest membership. Alumni have to pay the annual $25 donation to maintain an alumni membership and as of right now, the monthly membership fee is $45. As a guest of a student or staff member, the monthly membership is $40 and you dont have to maintain the alumni membership. In the north weight room, they often play a lot of bro music. There are many cubbies in the north weight room to store personal belongings but most of the guys just rudely throw their giant duffle bags down on the benches that are supposed to provide places to sit. There is then no where to sit and the weight room staff dont do anything to enfore this rule other than writing about it on the white board that no one reads. The womens locker room is usually filthy; the floor is covered in water and hair. In the afternoon and evenings the womens locker room is filled with both high school and UNO swim team members. They are consistently loud, rude, rowdy and dirty. There is an odd dress code that is meant to prevent people from getting and spreading MRSA, some of the weight room workers enforce it, some dont. It would be really great if there were more designated areas for stretching and warm up.
Who knew that they housed a cool rock climbing center???? Bouldering indoors on the cheap! Check out the massage chairs too - great way to end a climb!
Great location on campus. Easy to just go in and work out then head off to your next class. The help desk workers are excellent, and the injury care and prevention center is a great resource.
I only use the weight rooms and occasionally the rocks. Everything Ive used there has been good. Earlier you go the better, because the weight room only gets busier the later it gets.
Probably the best campus recreation in Midwest, US. It is huge facility equipped with almost everything you may know about fitness.
So many amenities for the price. Best gym ever been to.
It was intense. The front and breast stroke were a bit instense, but little trouble.
One of the best gym in the town.
I really like the massage chairs. ️
I parked illegally outside the building to drop someone off because there was no other place to stop. If this constitutes having visited a place, then my visit went well.
The staff is terrific!
Helped me not be depressed and fat. Now Im only depressed
Beautiful facility, has so much to offer!
So much to do! Plenty of equipment, variety of workout machines, and good size of spaces.
My first and only US gym.
I play ball there with friends always a good time.
Good gym, although it could use more indoor fields for soccer...
Amazing gym on UNO campus and home to the Universitys School of Health and Kinesiology. Free to students, this place has everything from weight rooms to cardio, courts, a pool, and rockwalls that go up multiple floors! They also have several classes including yoga, Zumba, and martial arts as well as trainers to help you in your fitness goals.
My second home!
Bit dirty but great student gym
Best place to workout, play ball, or rock, climbing. And the staff is always helpful.
Top notch facility! Every piece of equipment anyone would ever need to improve their body!
This gym closes up to half their equipment without refunds and plays country music. Avoid at all costs
Yep! Coolest gym
