OGC. Take note from a range that knows how to do it right. Just because you know guns, dosnt make you a good people person. You need to do a better job in your hiring process. Gun knowledge can be taught. People skills usually come naturally. There are some people in your shop that just plain suck at life when it comes to dealing with customers appropriately.
I have been to OGC, now Frontier Justice in Omaha several times. I have never been disappointed with the great customer service, availability of lane time, and selection. I’ve been around the US to dozens of similar locations and this is my number 1.
If I can’t use my membership to go shoot for 15 minutes at 7:30, then don’t list your closing time as 8. I don’t know what changed but I used to go shoot 30 minutes before closing time all the time.
Made a purchase there today bi worked directly with the store manager. He went above and beyond in all aspects. Absolutely 10 stars. The whole team I can’t praise enough. Will be returning. Thanks OGC team you were great.
Stopped by today for the first time - not sure what to expect. Browsed the store and chatted with one gentleman who worked there. Very friendly and helpful as I asked questions about OGC and how to go about using the range.I was impressed with how nice the store was - very modern/new, cool layout, lots to look at and much bigger shopping area than I anticipated. Looking forward to stopping over tomorrow and trying out the range!
Been there twice to shoot, and tried dealing with a person over the phone about ordering a gun. The people face to face were not very happy people and were kinda short with their interactions. The guy over the phone (Gun purchase person) was just rude, lazzy, and LIED to me cuz he didnt feel like doing a simple task to help me out.. There is plenty of other places to shoot where the employees are not crotchety, and the prices are better.
Bought my first gun from here. The staff is very knowledgeable and walked me through the whole process. I’ve used the range a couple times and it is great! It appears to have newer equipment and a safe environment to shoot!
I recently purchased a new firearm from their shop. The staff was fairly friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, they misplaced the case that the new firearm was suppose to come in but offered me a similar model case. I was so excited for my new purchase, I didnt not double check the smaller details. The original case was also to include a few other bells and whistles offered by the manufacturer. I immediately called and let them know of the issue. They disagreed at first but after checking with the manufacturer, admitted that there were missing pieces. They ordered the correct piece, however it took 11 weeks and several phone calls to receive all of what I had purchased. Within those several weeks, I had called a few times to get an update, and to their credit they offered a box of ammo and some range time in order to make it right (twice this was told to me). Unfortunately, when I finally got the call that everything was in, I went to the store and they had no record of setting aside a box of ammo or the range time that had previously been offered. I would recommend checking out some of the other ranges in town. Omaha Gun Club appears to be poorly managed and made blatantly false promises. Buyer be ware...
They were very helpful stayed after hours to help me with a new purchase and a membership for the gun club. I am very satisfied and would recommend everyone should join.
They made up laws about minors not being able to use firearms in their range, except if its the parents firearm.Poor customer service.EDIT: I spoke with the Owner. He did everything he could to make it right. It was quite a big misunderstanding, very good place.
Ive been to the facility twice and both times had some sort of issue with Gestapo like enforcement. This last time one of the guys in my group mistakenly used aluminum case ammo. They said we would be kicked out if they saw aluminum again. Nothing unsafe about aluminum or steel case ammo. Their beef is simply laziness. All of the brass we leave behind is big money for recycling. Its not enough that all the brass is free for them, but they are too lazy to sift through them for the occasional aluminum. Its too bad too. Its a nice range. However Omaha has a lot of ranges and I wont be back, nor recommend them.
Great employees that always look out for the customer!!Great deals on all rifles, handguns and shotguns!!It’s been my home away from home .Peter has been a great wealth of help on information on shotguns and rifles etc! This place is a must visit to shoot or to look and guns !!
They werent helpful. The rep kept coming up with excuses for how he couldnt help me but didnt come up with any solutions to help solve the issue. And then told me at the end that at least I wouldnt have to watch the video again. I had a way better experience at inner 10 and they will be getting my service from here on out.
Great service. Great prices. Ask for Pete
This place takes great strides to keep everyone safe and to make sure that we are all enjoying our shooting. It is a low pressure environment for anyone who is nervous about shooting at a range. Everyone who works there is super helpful.
I would definitely recommend this range to anyone but pricing on ammo, guns, and accessories is probably the highest youll find anywhere. Pricing is roughly full retail plus 5-10 percent.
I had a great experience here. Andrew and the sales team did a great job. I will be back. Five stars.
I’m a newer gun owner and the staff was completely approachable and very helpful. I highly recommend OGC!
Very disappointed with this place the last few months. I will say its a nice facility and has fairly priced memberships. Here is my beef. Ive been a member I think for about two years. I come in probably about once a month so they are making more off of me than if I just paid for the range which is not a problem this is my option how frequently i come in. My wife had brain surgery in November so i havent been in since September or October. During the Covid 19 problems they closed the range raised prices on ammunition and continued to charge for memberships even though they couldnt be used. Then they sent out an e-mail saying that they changed the memberships going to be cheaper we are going to give you two free months for the time we was closed. If you dont come in it will automatically be changed to the new membership. Sounds great! Then the following month I was still charged the old rates. So I message them now I have to go in to convert my membership and they will refund me. Ok? I shouldnt have to take time out of my day for them to fix their mistake. So I go in only to find out that I would have to sign a one year contract. That was never mentioned prior to me going in. So I cancelled my membership and I will not return. Very sad that this place took advantage of people in a hard time and then screwed them out of their membership unless they want to be locked down for a year. I would have done the one year contract if it wasnt for they way they handled things leading up to this and then surprise there is a new contract. I guess I will be looking into other ranges now. If you sign up just be prepared for them to charge your account whenever they want for whatever they want. Which reminds me when I originally signed a one year contract the girl at the counter told me that I could set up what day the payment comes out of my account. Once all the paperwork was done now she cant set a specific day it just comes out whenever.
Great time shooting and the staff really care about the customers.
Have about a 50/50 experience with this range, but after my last visit I can honestly say I won’t be spending any more of my money there. As a costumer I really HATE getting screamed at by RSOs on a power trip. I’ll just go shoot somewhere else. We have plenty of options in Omaha and they should realize that.
Very clean and modern range. Staff is helpful and professional at all times. Guns for rent and firearms for sale. They have a 50 yard range. Overall its a great place to blow off some steam.
We went there for a bachelor party and all of us had a great time. Their facility is top notch and their staff was nothing but welcoming and patient with our group as we had some people that had zero experience with firearms.Definitely recommend and I will be back.
My office went here for an afternoon team-building event. Awesome facility. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Awesome amenities for group events. Lots of selection and shooting options.
Nice gun range. Had a good time.
Power trip rude ! How about being more friendly to people who come to spend their money there .
The Omaha gun club is a great place for all of your firearm needs. The staff is very knowledgeable and welcoming. My first time there, they made me feel like I was a long time customer. I came in to try out the range. The ventilation inside the range is excellent. As much as I love the smell of gun powder in the morning, it was nice to have fresh air being pumped in while youre shooting.
First all the positives. Friendly counter help. Fair Membership prices. Easy to get to . Good Hours to use facility. All around good place. Manager Peter M went out of his way to help me with my concerns. I was there with my sons and I was not wearing eye protection. My mistake and I was wrong. But the RSO officer came at us like we were terrorist and doing this on purpose. I did not appreciate the way he came at me and my sons. Again for the record I was wrong. But education of customer is better than humiliation an screaming at me in an nonprofessional manner. I will come back and keep my membership because of the professionalism of the manager Peter M. But in my humble opinion the RSO officer needs to learn some tact and education of honest mistakes. Safety is important especially at a gun range. But power trips and non professionalism is never okay. Other than the rso officer I would give this place a five star rating. But because this is my second negative interaction with this rso officer I have to give the two stars as i dont think he can or will improve. I appreciate the opportunity to speak my peace. Thank you
Had a wonderful time getting some shooting in. Great range for new and seasoned shooters. Awesome staff .
Staff are very professional. It was my first time handling a real gun. As soon as we entered the club, one of the staff members walking to me. He answered all my questions and got us watch a small training/instructions video.Because it was first time for us - An instructor was with us the whole time we picked up the firearms, entered the range and until we wrapped up.
State of the art facilities, 2 25yd ranges and 1 50yd range, both well ventilated with programmable yardage. Also has 25yd archery and airsoft arena. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly to help the experienced and new customers alike. Beginning to host USPSA matches. Very much looking forward to the anticipated 2 level for members including lounge and 2 additional 25 yd ranges
Extremely poor customer service.
I am editing my review to say why I have given them five stars while not agreeing with some of their changes to the club. Omaha Gun Club is still my favorite club and for a sound reason. It is safety plain and simple. I feel that OGC is the most safe indoor range in the metro. I have seen several review posts, some from folks claiming to be law enforcement officers and others, criticizing the clubs policy on drawing a loaded firearm from a holster. As an NRA certified pistol instructor, I can truthfully say that this rule is for the safety of ALL people that shoot at OGC and would also apply at any other gun club. Drawing a loaded firearm in any location, whether at a so-called gun club or at your house is one of the most, if not the most dangerous thing you can do. Any responsible law enforcement officer or anyone else with a minimum amount of firearms training would know and agree with that statement. Many people both law enforcement and others have accidentally shot themselves or others while training by drawing a loaded weapon. Practice your drawing from a holster, with an unloaded weapon at your house, not next to me or some other innocent person that does not wish to be shot by some careless individual, and if you draw your loaded pistol at a gun club while practicing at a gun club, you are a careless person. If you want to draw a loaded weapon, do it at an IDPA or USPSA event. This is the main reason that OGC is my favorite club in town and their employees are what make the place what it is. They have range officers that are definitely among the most professional and responsible that I have ever seen. I have shot at clubs in Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, North Dakota, Colorado, and Missouri. I would recommend OGC to anyone wishing to practice for themselves or take a friend or family member out for an enjoyable experience.
Phenomenal staff, I came here for my CHP class and the instructor was awesome. Also shoot here on a regular basis and I have absolutely no complaints. Best range by far
I love OGC, great range, staff is always friendly. There are other ranges in Omaha that are great as well; however I like that OGC is more civilian focused. Took my CHP class with Mike M, very knowledgeable instructor and entertaining. I also have taken classes with the gunsmith at OGC.
Excellent staff. Friendly and helpful. Clean, well lit facility
Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I came in on busy Saturday afternoon, they got myself and a friend all checked in and on a lane ready to shoot within 5min. Clean and organized facility, pricing is similar to every other range Ive been to in the Lincoln/Omaha area. Will be back soon!
Friendly staff, excellent facility with 25 yd and 50 yd lanes, and good pricing. Ive gone twice and had a good experience both times.
Great Gun Club. Gold members have access to a nice lounge upstairs. Im downgrading my evaluation because of the run around concerning lockers for Gold Club members. Its been over four months since I joined and still no locker. Its a good club but I would recommend staying away from Gold membership until this locker issue is resolved.
Super fun
I went in about a month ago and i felt like i being treated like a bum by this bigger gentleman with sunglasses. He talked to me like i was ruining his day right after he was joking around with another customer moments before. I was going to tell him i was going to look around to see if they had a certain AR in stock but before i finished my sentence he rudely started to walk away and said just let me know if you want to look at something as i walked back to the rifle area a younger gentleman came up to me and we had a pleasant conversation about him building his own ARs. Would love to give this place more stars but that first encounter put a sour taste in my mouth.
Hands down the best range Ive ever visited. Although its a bit more expensive than other ranges, OGC more than makes up for it in terms of rental selection, lane availability, course offerings, special events, and amenities. Whether youre an owner looking for a place to use your firearms in town or youre a first-timer curious about shooting, you should definitely check them out!
Went here with my boyfriend the other night and it was the first time either of us had been to an indoor shooting range (we’re used to outdoor shooting on the farm) and neither of us really knew what to expect. The staff here were amazingly friendly and helpful, they truly wanted us to come in and have a fun experience while we were there. They were also very knowledgeable and I could tell they were happy to be there. We will DEFINITELY be back, as both of us had a great time!
Im a first-time gun owner and dont know much about them. I came here with little to no knowledge and the left with a great understanding. Dominic was very helpful with everything as far as how to use the gun. I had a very smooth experience and will definitely come back!
Amazing support from the staff! Fantastic classes, Ive taken the chp class and the chp2 class with Mike Melhus. Well worth the $$$! Thankfully, they are sticklers about SAFETY!!!
Talk about Perfect! I just spent worthwhile time at the Omaha Gun Club, this facility is amazing. My beautiful wife Debi and her equally beautiful sister, Pam, went there for a womens self defense classes. Debi came back totally excited about her experience there. So, I had to check it out. They have fantastic specials and programs all the time, not to mention sales on their huge, well organized showroom floor! Mike helped guide me through and even gave me a tour of their 50 and 25 yard ranges, plus operation instructions, what a guy! Everything about this place is outstanding, plus discounts for Veterans and NRA members!!! Just like General McArthur said I shall return!
Did not have a great experience had staff sweeping casings out under my feet while shooting which i feel is not very safe and well i like to recover my own shot if behind the fire line also had rude staff and other staff when i had questions couldnt answer any of my questions and one very rude elderly gentleman and the lane i was givin was already in use so the lane i got switched too had issues with the light and targets.
OK range, but I received very poor service today. I hope this was just a hiccup, because I want to like this range. The lanes are well maintained and state of the art. I just wish that the staff felt the same enthusiasm for their customers. We were left in the middle of signing waiver forms by the clerk for ten minutes without an explanation and no one else helped us. When we looked around for her, she was opening display cases for another customer. I know it may seem minor, but it was not a good first impression.Update: I returned to look around the store area at a sensible time when it was not busy at all. I browsed around for about fifteen minutes and was not acknowledged by the staff whatsoever.Second update: My latest experience here was like night and day compared to before. The staff was great. Not the same people who Id seen working the previous times. Now I look forward to coming back.
Very nice ranges, AC, good ventilation not smokey or hazy at all before, during or after a shooting session. Extremely helpful and very friendly staff. Very good prices on range time and ammo too.
Visited here for the first time today and really liked it. The lanes were great because they were really well lit, the targets were on a track instead of cables, and it was climate controlled too. Definitely one of the nicer indoor ranges Ive been to. Will be going back again for sure.
Great experience. Super friendly staff, great lighting, well ventilated and temp controlled lanes. Just shot 100 rounds and joined as a member. Look forward to coming back and bringing my friends!
Went there not knowing to expect...i was surprised!!!...Was a very great experience...the staff was very friendly and courteous....have been to another Gun club and its not even close, this used to be a movie theatre and they did it right....youve got room to move in the booth, you can set the yardage electronically and its not breezy to where the target is floating back & forth....Will be back!!!
Great service, seems to have many range officers on hand to handle any of your needs. Beware if you are a first time shooter at this range though, you may have to watch a 20 min instructional video before you shoot. I understand why they do this, but being a long time shooter it can be a little tedious, especially when you are as excited to shoot your new rifle as I was lol.
Been going on Fri since they opened. Thought Id found a great place to shoot. They take your drivers license and dont always remember to give it back. I have to have mine or I get to go home unpaid. I drive a truck. 3 rd time its happened and this last one cost me my pay. Wont go back unless they change this. To bad I liked it. They had a bunch in a envelope so its not just me. Nice place. Just one bad policy.
Went in for the 1st time, started with good service but when I left for 2 minutes to use the restroom, I came back to a large group of kids all trying to rent guns and sign up. THAT in itself wasnt the problem, but when there are FOUR employees working the counter and not one of them could help myself and my daughter, and we had already started the check-in process), I left after watching FOUR employees take care of ONE group of people who walked in AFTER me for about 7-8 minutes. That is long enough to be ignored. I shoot at the different ranges around town 2 to 3 times a week. This place will not be one of them. Too bad, Ive met the owner, seemed like a nice guy who truly cares about his customers.
I had a bad experience my first time (they were packed and kept moving me around, it was ridiculous), but every time since then its been good. Today they had free rentals, and I got to shoot rifles I never otherwise would have shot. Sometimes they are just too busy and you get stuck standing there waiting, but other than that, its a solid place. I think theyve redeemed themselves so Im bumping up my stars on this review.
Went here for the first time last week. I was not greeted at all when I walked in, dont know if it was the fact that the employee behind the counter was playing on his phone or the fact that he was wearing sun glasses inside... When he finally looked up it was as if I was interrupting him from him texting. I walked around the sales floor and it looks like they have a good selection of firearms, until you actually look in the cases and notice that there are multiple of the same make and model gun so the cases look full. While walking around another employee came up and asked how I was doing, he was younger and very polite. I was very surprised to see that the ranges are very shot up for a place that has only been open for a couple years. Range time prices are similar to the other ranges in Omaha, they do have a large variety of rental guns which was nice to see.
The guy working the counter was extremely passive aggressive and made me feel very uncomfortable.. He was watching me like a hawk since the moment I walked in the door and after I had been browsing the rental gun section for a little while he very rudely asked “can I help you?” And not in a nice helpful manner, it was as if I was invading his space.. He never introduced himself so I’m not sure what his name is but it was a taller heavier set gentleman who was wearing sunglasses... (the sunglasses weren’t helping his offputting demeanor).. They have a good selection of guns, however prices were generally high on everything I saw, even on used firearms.. The range seemed very nice and high tech but I didn’t even bother shooting because I didn’t want to deal with the guy... overall it’s a nice clean place but I wasn’t impressed with the gentleman working there or the prices..
First time shooter and first time at a range. Each staff member we came in contact with was absolutely polite and informative. The facility was organized and well kept. Will definitely be going back!
I took a one on one training class with Jeff Hoenshell. Excellent trainer/teacher. His knowledge level speaks for itself. The Omaha Gun Club is a great setting for all gun classes/training/shooting. I appreciated Jeffs instructions and would highly recommend him and the OGC classes to anyone, regardless of previous experience with guns.
This is an excellent shooting facility with a large retail selection. Staff is super helpful, and everyone there is genuinely interested in supporting and growing the shooting community. They recently started running USPSA matches, too, which is a huge plus!
The staff has gone downhill. All the really great staff they used to have is gone. The guy who wears sunglasses is a complete jerk and I feel uncomfortable being in here anymore on top of feeling rushed to get in and out as fast as possible.
I went here for my bachelor party and I had a ton of fun! Mike helped me out and he couldnt have been more helpful and knowledgable. The staff was really willing to help and make you feel comfortable! Would totally go again and become a member if I was in the area.
Great place. Been a handful of times and they take care of you and the facility. Would recommend. They have 25 and 50 ft ranges.
With this being my first gun range and first time shooting I was unaware of what to expect but the friendly staff quickly killed my nerves on the spot. They walked me through picking the best hand guns for my hands and how to work the gun. They even gave me some tips on shooting without taking the class. Very patient! Plus the facility is amazing, they even have an archery area. The only downside is the pricing, it is overly experience Sive compared to what I researched on the surrounding places. But I feel like its definitely a range I will return too.
Nice indoor range!!! Clean and well kept. Good ventilation in the lanes, electronic carriers, padded stations. Full gun store also.
Absolutely brilliant! Never fired a gun before due to being from the UK. Arrived with no appointment and was treated extremely well by courteous and knowledgeable staff. Will definitely return!!
Professional operation run by nice people.
This range is awesome. I was able to shoot my pistols, my S&W M&P AR 15 and my Mosin Nagant sniper rifle. Great new range. Very professional and safe. Thank you for doing it right Omaha Gun Club.
Walked in för the first time and was impressed with the staffs knowledge of items, and the staff went above and beyond to help me get what i needed.only been there 5 times and when i walk in now the staff calls me by my name. i would recommend this to anyone looking for a positive experience in shooting.
Great facilty and friendly staff. Lanes are roomier than most indoor ranges. The digital system for target distance is very convenient.
Great facility, helpful staff and a great way to spend some time!
Failure. Drive the extra distance spend a couple more bucks if that at Cabelas.Trying to buy a thousand rounds and some accessories, but after asking for help The Dizzy blonde left to go deal with more important customers and then never came back. 10 min later shes brown nosing hovering over the man. I simply walked out, no one saying anything. I was very impressed with the website and saw a lot of stuff that I wanted to buy there, but I go in and nothing is on the shelf that Im looking for and I cant get help. It is what it is.
Awesome!! Very professional, knowledgeable staff and friendly too. I’m already ready to return. Thank you.
Went for a turkey hunting seminar offered by state fish and game. Nice facility, good meeting rooms. Did not shoot however so I cant comment on the primary business.
Reasonable prices & the people who work there were very helpful. The facility is Great!
Very clean, very up to date. Large retail selection. Staff is top notch!
Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Well maintained range with good prices.
Very helpful staff. Facilities are adequate, decent selection of rentals, excellent selection of firearms for sale
Hours are wrong for sundays.
Absolutely outstanding establishment. Friendly and helpful employees with plenty of shooting lanes and a great selection of firearms to rent and try out.
Awesome nice employees they’re all knew about guns and good prices on some specialty ammo
Terribly high weapons prices. Ranges prices not that bad. Huge selection tho. Just real pricey
The staff were very helpful and answered all of my questions. Even if you dont know a lot about guns they will make sure you are comfortable and will help you to learn.
Great range, very polite and informative staff. My brother and I really had a great time there and will be returning and bringing our friends and family.
Great place with friendly staff. They love what they do and it shows.
This is great, helpful people, convenient location and reasonable rates. A nice new clean facility close to home.
Great staff.Very nice shooting lanes with excellent ventalation.50 yard lane is awesome.
Great staff, good prices. I wont go anywhere else in the area.
Everything you want in an indoor gun range. Super facility up to 50 yards. Accessories, sales, gun rentals, clothing. First time here and most impressed.
Absolutely the best range there is in omaha they have a top of the line facility and great staff there also the only people who allow me to shoot my 338 lapua in omaha and are always happy to see me there when i bring it highly recommend them if your looking for a great range to go to nothing beats the gun club hands down
Clean, state of the art gun range, friendly helpful staff, and a very nice gun shop
Bad ass. This range is a blast and customer service is great!
Very clean and straight to the point. Bar is on the second floor with a billards table and several tvs.
