My wife and I saw Big Head Todd & The Monsters and the sound quality was outstanding. The venue is big enough to hold a lot of people but still gives you the intimate setting to feel as if the band is just speaking to you. Great Venue. We will return...
Went to the NYE party and it was incredible. Got the VIP tickets and had such a great night. Music is always amazing! Huge location. Plenty of vibing options. Whether you want to go out on the dance floor, mingle back by the tables and chairs, chill up top, kick it on the sides, or when weather permitting visit outside in the beer garden there’s a place for you at slowdown!
Surprisingly Clean inside. A breath of fresh air for the music scene comes in the form of working AC and friendly staff and room for acts to put their gear. Saw a rock show there tonight (Cruciamentum and Infernal Conjuration), the sound was good and the atmosphere great. There was even free water. I will visit again if given the chance.
Really nice location with metered parking around it. Decently priced tickets and a can of sofa was only 2 bucks. Super good deal. All ages show and a wrist band for 21 and up. Nice chairs and bar around the pit. Balcony with some seats too
Great venue, love how they have both the front room for smaller artists but also the main room for more popular ones. They book lots of great artists.
I personally really like this venue. Especially the outdoor events. Highly recommend seeing a concert here. Step out of your comfort zone and see an artist you normally wouldnt, this is the type of venue where everyone sounds good! See ya there!
I love this place but unfortunately its still closed
Bowling For Soup concert with my daughter on my birthday! Nice location. Nice facility. Very reasonable prices...
We love Hotel Desperado! Love the venue, but they ran out of my drink. Fun night with friends and plenty of room to dance because of the snow.
Great venue to see a concert. For GA shows, as long as you get there at doors-open, there is seating available on the balcony and in the bar area and along the pit. Staff are very nice and chill.
I would love to share 5 stars for this venue for a great start to 2020 but the slow and busted music after it it hit midnight. Half the people left the dance floor and probably the building. I would love t ok say more but I will just take some photos!
Seen the Prince Experience here. My first time here and it was amazing. Open space and not crowded at all. The drinks are . Very chill vibe from the place. I enjoyed it a lot.
I went here for an Amigo the Devil show. Venue itself seemed cozy. I dont know if it was because it wasnt at max occupancy but I felt it was very easy to get around. Acoustics were good, lighting was good, seemed be a clean establishment. Good times.
Cool venue. Very intimate. We attended a concert that was out back in the parking lot and it was fantastic! It was really nice that they kept the inside open for real bathrooms and a break from the heat. Inside bar could have been a little more efficient but overall, great place to see a show!
Been there for a few shows, love em every time. Easy to get to the front of the stage if you there in time. Or just chill in the back if you prefer. Always got good drinks too.
Sold out concert. Staff were friendly and efficient. Lines move quick. Love the size of the venue. Makes concerts so much better! Cant wait to come back! Always will for Andy Grammer
Enjoyed the night Gryffin concert. The sound was at a wonderful level.Crisp clear sound and lighting for Gryffins music. The concert was sold out. Not over sold room to get to the bar and dance floor.Prices were great for beer.Mix drinks were very small for price.Again sound and lighting was done well.
I love this venue and have had some amazing experiences to go with. It may not be the largest but the atmosphere and the crowd will always always always make it worth it.
Love this venue, if you get a chance to catch Pet Rock in concert i recommend. One of the best local bands around.
Great venue. Good space to see a show and feel close to everything. Getting in goes fast and getting out is controlled.
Great venue when its all opened up. Fast service and reasonably priced drinks.
Pretty good. Attending concerts here is pretty easy. I stand six-foot-six and have yet to find a competitor in the crowd
Great happy hour drinks at a fair price. Love the take on traditional Mexican foods
One of the greater music venues in all of Omaha. Great sounds and although a great deal of people can fit in here, its still got that intimate feel too it. They are able to book acts from all sorts of genres so I can promise you will find something you like!
The only thing I dislike about this place is that you have to go to the bar for drinks. No servers only, bartenders. Everything else is amazing!
Fantastic place for all things live music
We go to the Satchel Grande concert every year around Christmas... and other shoes throughout the year. Great small venue. Good pricing!
I loved it there! Its the best place to see your favorite band! Small and intimate. WAS NICE AND COOL! Thought it was gonna be a sweaty bar scene but it wasnt! 2 thumbs up!
The acoustics of the Slowdown are the best of any club in Omaha. If an act you want to see is playing the Slowdown its a no brainer. Buy the tickets and have a great time.
I love coming here. The vibe has always been pretty chill and prices are reasonable.
It was an awesome time listening to the music from my generation!!! So many memories from those songs!! Pet Rock was awesome!!
Great place to see a live show. Saw Gaelic Storm on 2019 in August here. Definitely a great venue, I was right next to the stage the whole show. Had an amazing time.
We have been here for two different events, utilizing two different stages. They did cut quite a bit of space off for the rock show, but enjoyable overall.
First time at this venue and it didnt disappoint. There isnt a bad place to watch a show in here. Drink prices were typical, but the atmosphere was on point. Would definitely go back for another show.
Will kick u out for no reason we have video of my husband getting kicked out for asking a staff member to hold his drink during her shift.... RIPOFF NEVER GO TO ANYTHING HERE not to mention how rude they were even just arriving choose a different venue
Loved this venue! Great service, the atmosphere was nice, and the sound system was a lot better than some of the other small venues I’ve been to.
In my opinion the best venue for acoustics in Omaha. They get great acts to play. Not disappointed.
Great Venue Top of the line Sound And Lighting Gear, Great Sounding Venue
The venue had good seating and visibility for the act. Drink prices are reasonable.I did have to pay for parking, I dont know if that always happens.
Best local concert venue in Omaha. I go to a lot of concerts and each time I have been to the Slowdown the sound is top notch and overall environment is welcoming. Good variety music.
Love this place.
Great venue...one of the best acoustic in town..Will come back!!
One of the best places for band performances in Omaha. They have a small stage that you can reserve and a large one, depending on the crowd you expect. Their sound engineer, Dan, was very friendly and helpful.
Awesome venue. Clean and big. Great sound throughout the whole place. Friendly staff. The orientation of the stages and the bar is perfect. I would highly recommend to play or watch a show here
In forget what a treasure this venue is in Omaha. Thank you for supporting great charity events!!!
Sound and lighting were fantastic! Very comfortable space with lots of options for viewing a show. Looking forward to making my way there again.
I went to a venue (Froggy Fresh) at this place that said All Ages show. So I bought 2 $50 tickets that allowed us to meet and greet with artist. The description stated that you meet and greet before the show starts. Website said doors open at 7 and show starts at 8. I show up to the place at 7 and show them both tickets i bought. They refused to let my little sister in because she was 10. I then explain that i spent a total of 100 dollars to see this show and that Id like my money back if they refuse to let her in. She told me that the terms and conditions prevent me from getting my money back. I ask why they are not letting her in and their response was that I needed a permission slip to let her in from the parent or guardian. I told them i was her older 21 year old brother and they told me that they wouldnt let me sign for her (figure Id classify as a guardian). After that happened i then asked if I could get a permission slip to give to our mother so she could get in. They then tell me that I need to log on to their website and print it myself (show starts in less than an hour). I try and log into their website from my phone and the website is crashed. I had to take her home. Moral of all this is that The Slowdown shouldve been more descriptive (especially on the all ages part) when writing this out.
Was going to watch a concert and I just forgot my ID in LINCOLN. We were not even going to drink at all. Told them I have 2 pictures of valid IDs but still didnt let us go. Enjoy the free money.
Really good pizza, and Fairy Nectar IPA on tap!
Great little place. Like a hidden gem that only the right people know about
Everything was great except for the rude lady working there dont work at a concert venue if you cant handle patrons having a good time. Was shouting at the band to play a song. Wasnt cursing or being rude.
Love this venue. Arrive early and get a table in the bar area and you won’t regret it. You can move to the stage room for the show and retreat for a break a seat and a drink. Call an Uber 30 minutes before the show ends or you might not get one.
Really nice venue. Easy to find parking. Clean and lots of space.
DO NOT come here unless you are 18 years old. I bought a ticket to Peach Pit and it said ALL AGES a billion times all over the ticket and when I came to the concert they told me that I needed a notarized legal consent form from my parents. The concert was about to start in half an hour and Im just now being told I need to fill out a legal document beforehand. They told me that this rule was all over their website and I go to check. It is not on my ticket or any of the concert pages. It is listed on their all ages tab. I feel like they do not advertise this rule online as much as they really should. It feels like they only have this to con money out of minors. I could see if it was a liability reason though it was an all ages concert and due to the wrist stamp there is no way i can get alcohol as a minor. So I lost $15 bucks that I cant get refunded to me. I will be coming here again to see Pale Waves so Ill be prepared by then but if anyone from Slowdown is reading this. Please update you website and or purchases to show this rule.
Seen shows here since I was 10. Best venue in Omaha!
Cool vibe. Great service from bartenders. Sight lines are just ok when crowded. Bar area can get loud from conversation during quieter shows but thats more on the patrons. Overall a good place to see a show.
The show was good. Sound guys need to up their game though. Couldnt hear the singers for the bands.
Worst venue ever. ...was scammed by a ticket venue. Then no safety with fire lanes..the city should look into the people allowed you in
Great bar venue. Go early to get a seat or stand down front. Had a great time!
Prefer the Slowdown over The Waiting Room any day. No matter where you are in the Slowdown, you can still see the band playing, drinks are good, staff is attentive and nice, and sound quality is perfect. I love the multi floor layout of the Slowdown - like I said not a bad seat or standing position in the place. Good bands come through regularly.
Awesome bands and crowd ! Nice bartenders
Love this venue! Staff is great and sound amazing!
Great venue. Good size of space with lots of great viewing angles. Drinks are reasonable, especially for a concert venue.
Always quality entertainment!
I love the Slowdown. Its my favorite Omaha concert venue. Its a large space with a decent vibe. The bathrooms are usually pretty clean, and the bar is typically well staffed.
It was okay. Beer was good had a variety of local brews on tap. Food wasnt that great. Our server was a cool dude. It was worth trying.
Great intimate spaces for smaller shows as well as larger areas for bigger shows. Good variety of artists for fair prices. I really enjoy my time here
Good place to catch a show. They pull in big names too!!
A fantastic venue! Comfortable, fun and close to the action, the place is great for small-medium shows and gigs.Saw Beats Antique with Balkan Bump live, and Ill sure be keeping an eye on future shows and listings here!
This place. Such an intimate venue. Love the photo booth when its working. They have board games, thats always fun too! The concerts here are always so amazing and the staff is awesome. Will come back again and again.
A really nice club venue. Nice setup with good sound. Really had a great time at Mat Kearney. Nice clean bathrooms without long lines. Security checks to keep everyone safe.
Nice layout, some tables, small smoking area, fantastic soundsystem.
Great venue for wedding receptions, bands, celebrations. Fund raising.Went to the Tina Turner celebration for Girls Rock. The band did a fine job. People were having fun and enjoying the music.
Great Venue for enjoying music!
Saw Marianas Trench and Scott Hellman... Great venue. There is no bad place to see the show in the entire venue
Went here a couple times during CWS. First day was awesome no complaints but the 2nd day I found a bug in my drink and another one frozen in the ice of the same drink. I didnt get a new drink even when I showed them the frozen bug in the ice. Gross.
Saw Dylan Scott in concert. It was amazing!
Fun place to go with good shows pretty much every night. A lot of them are all ages too
Always a great time. Smaller venue with a pretty good sound system
Great Concert Venue, Highly Recommended!
Great venue for an indie rock band. Good acoustics, good layout for viewing. Options for standing on the floor, or sitting on the perimeter. Bring your ID; whether youre 21 or 60, youll need it to get in.
I went here for 2 events, a concert and a fundraiser, within 24 hours. Both were great. The service at the bar was fast and friendly as were the guys checking us in. Parking can be tricky, but it’s downtown so that’s to be expected.
