Amazing place with really great classes and fun people. For some reason, google accidentally put a one star review, which is the opposite of what this place deserves. I made some really close friends here and loved my experience.

A great place to take classes, make fun improv friends, and watch comedy shows! The staff works so hard and all the people attending classes are so funny! Plus the shows are TO DIE FOR. attend a class asap! Id reccomend improv or sketch writing!

Its pretty good, lots of laughs and funny folk. They teach classes too and only crush your soul a little bit while teaching you, overall a net positive experience. Make sure you bring friends and dont overdrink.

Great crowd. I went to Open Mic night and they signed a young lady who was very funny and I could relate to. Fun place to go. I felt welcomed, although I was new to the area.

I personally thought they could have done better spreading the show times a part. The area where the comedian stood was blocked off from the waiting room by a cover/sheet pinned to the top of the doorway. So...we heard the punchlines towards the last 15 minutes of the previous show while waiting for our show to start. The repeated showtimes were close together so people already knew what the end was going to be. For what its worth, the staff were friendly and the shows are inexpensive. We had a great laugh and they have a great surround sound. No food but does serve liquor and water bottles.

Great club. Affordable Entry. Friendly staff. I felt welcomed. There was no criticism really just a good crowd who has a tast for comedy and try to discover themselves as comedians.

I went out with a friend here just last night. The tickets were very affordable and the drinks were a great price too! Staff were all welcoming and friendly. It was a clean and cozy environment. The room to sit in was a bit small and the chairs were nothing special Im not complaining because it was a great time. There are public restrooms which were clean as well. The show and atmosphere was great. Thank you for a good night Backline Comedy! Hope to see you all again.

Been going here for years for classes. Moved out of Omaha, but always drop by when in town. Always a good time.

I found that parking at MUD is convenient. Id prefer a straw with my drink but the ambiance feels like that would be too commercial for this place. Still, I enjoyed the atmosphere for what it was - raw quality.

Went with a group not knowing what to expect. We had an enjoyable evening and lots of laughs. We will go again!

This is the best spot for comedy in Omaha. Theres a wide variety of different shows, tasty beverages available for purchase from a sweet vintage refrigerator, and good times for all. Check it out if you enjoy laughter.

The Backline is a great venue for improv, stand up and sketch comedy. Nineteen beers to choose from bottle or can. I perform here as well as attend shows, and its always a really fun time.

I was pleasantly surprised with this place, its a pretty small venue but the comedians were very good. I would recommend ordering a couple beers at a time so you dont have to get up during an act. Prices are fantastic we will definitely be back.

I enjoy coming here. I enjoy watching local comics work out old and new material, so this is a great place for that. Restroom is hard to find so I suggest asking staff.

Surprisingly cool spot. Unassuming in its facade but terrific acts...class acts!The drinks served were generous and very reasonably priced.The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly for the most part. I will say that a couple of times our server could have at least acted friendly instead of acting like we were a bother. That wont stop me from going back and enjoying myself, though. Definitely a thumbs up.

I had never been to a comedy club before I went here. The boyfriend and I both enjoyed our time immensly. Comedians were funny and the adult themed showing was just adult enough without being over the top. Adult beverages are also a nice touch. Great entertainment for the price.

When we walked in I was thinking this is going to be a dive.. Never judge a book by its cover. It was HILARIOUS! Loved it! I would definitely try it again because you wold get different performers every time would be a new show.

This place is not what you might think. There is no bar. And I feel like everyone that comes here are just friends performing for each other. Sadly most of them are not funny.

Comedy theatre tucked neatly away in the middle of downtown Omaha. Regular hourly shows of improv and stand-up on Friday and Saturday evenings. Events, workshops, and shows on weeknights as well. Classes are offered for all levels of improv; teachers are experienced and helpful. Good selection of affordable-priced beer for sale as well.

Good place for something fun to do, but you have to have an open mind for the comedy. They do many different types of performances, some get the audience involved which is fun. Definitely not the best place to see a good comedy show, but its fun for the price - the beers are cheap too!

The only place like it in Omaha. Great theater for improv, stand up, and features a nice area to mingle and drink. They offer classes for those interested in the dark art of improv comedy. Think of this as Omahas own Second City. Its a popular place, and a lot of shows flow through here.

Local comedians and national acts combine for a fun experience. They serve reasonably priced alcoholic beverages as well. Purchase tickets online and all you need to bring is your name to get your tickets.

So happy with this gem! What fun it was to shout absurdities and watch others squirm. Cant wait to go back.

Had a great time tonight at the show.Only 4 stars due to female staff.. was a little rude when I came to beer/ drink selection. Didnt have the beer my husband wanted so he asked if he could look. He went to touch one of the cans and got yelled at..Really awkward!! He almost decided not to have a drink because of that..There was a rude remark said as well..

Improv is great. Standup was ok. Fun basement atmosphere, very small.

Loved it, small crowd but great comedians!

We tried it for both shows on 3-3-2018. The first show was a good experience. Comedians tried out new material and the overall atmosphere was great. We were surprisingly happy with our decision to go and looked forward to the 2nd show.The late show, however, had a much worse feel. Content really wasnt so much the issue. One comedian seemed trashed and another I missed the pull for any jokes more angry yelling about their views. The good news is it ended with the 3rd to last and 2nd to last comedians being pretty darn funny. We would have walked out on the last, but opted against rudeness.
