Group of 6 women! We had an amazing day! Fun family experience, friendly staff. RJ was our raft Capt and was great at making our rafting trips fun and full of excitement! We will be back for more fun! (We are all Texas residents, and it was not a bad day)
Cool adventure simulated white water rafting for whole family
We are visiting from Utah and decided to try this. Had a lot of fun tubing. At one point I got flipped and got banged up a little on my nose and knees. The staff was awesome in making sure I was alright. They got me cleaned up pretty good. I would definitely go back. Cant thank the staff enough.
A definite must do if youre anywhere near OKC! This is a 9,000 gallon pool that you white water raft in with up to class 3 rapids. Or you can go tubing in the man made river or you can slide down several water slides. There is a ropes course in the sky with a zip line across the river. So much to do and so incredibly fun!Nicole was our raft guy who was very fun, knowledgeable, and really made for a great day! We tubed and did the ropes, all seven of us had an amazing day! Nicole and all the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. This is a wonderful experience which has great views of downtown. This park is so unique with plenty to do for everyone!!!
We had a great time! This place has saved the summer of 2020 for us.
It looked like it would be a lot of fun but there is ZERO social distancing. Its definitely A Covid-19 outbreak waiting to happen. They claim social distancing but nothing. SHAME ON THEM !
Great time on the rapids, kayaks and slide. Water and drinks are way overpriced and some of the employees inside arent all that nice but overall great time
The guide had astounding skill and could read those in my group to determine what he could put us through to give us the best experience possible!
Only one in the NATION... Riverwalk... kayak...raft....nature trail....AWESOME bike tracks and trails....
Do not go here during Had a horrible time! Rides closed, rules insane, and waste of money!!! I am beingNice giving one star.
An awesome place to enjoy summer with friends and family
Not worth the money. Spend more time in lines than in the water. They should call it linesports. And the grill was horrible. I didnt have very high expectations to begin with but both food and service fell far below bar. $8 for a condiment dish half full of hummas, 4 small slices of pita bread two dried out celery sticks, 4 cherry tomatoes and about 2 tablespoons of shredded carrots, that were not only dry and impossible to even attempt to dip in hummas but were also rotten and black. If I could give less stars I would. Infact I would have paid to have tye option to give negative stars honestly.
This is a super cool place! Fun, good staff, good price!
Very disappointed. Went a couple of weekends ago and before entering the parking lot I asked the man at the booth if there were things to do with the whole Covid stuff going on, he told me yes. So I paid the $5 to park, went in signed the waiver for my 3 kids (14,12,4) After paying $160 the only thing that was open was the slide, my 4 year old couldn’t do anything but play at the park, so at that point I was frustrated, they mentioned my older kiddos could do the rafting but failed to mention that you needed a reservation when we paid for our tickets and the next reservation wasn’t for another hour . $160 for my kids to basically pay at a park. Will not be going back.
The most fun time I have had ever.
Steep price, but reeeeeally fun
In early May of 2019, I visited for the first time. I went with a friend and we did the zip line. It was pretty neat to do over the river, but it was over quickly and my goodness beware of the abrupt stop when nearing each end point. I nearly got whiplash. Given the price and whiplash, I wouldn’t do it again or recommend it. That day, we also purchased tickets to kayak, only to find out there was a rowing tournament after we spent an hour searching for the kayaks. They wouldn’t give us a refund, but instead gave us each a voucher on receipt paper with an expiration date.In August, I returned and my experience was much better. The staff was helpful and even refunded our parking fee since we didn’t intend to return the first time. They were also more knowledgeable than the staff on duty in May.
Ride the rapids... feel the flow! A Must Go!
So much fun! Obviously the closest you will get to rapids around OKC, but honestly fairly comparable to the real thing! I had the best time! The guide was wonderful! The intro host was helpful to get everyone organized and off we went! They even provided me with a helmet with a GoPro attachment! I really enjoyed it!! Cant wait to go back!
I had a blast watching JAWS on the water! The tubes were well made and didnt flip or anything. Lil overkill on safely but I guess better safe than sorry.
The river rafting was so exhilarating! Everyone should try it! We spent the rest of the day on the Sky Trail, zip line, kayaking and wall climbing. It was a very hot day in June and the employees were always checking with us to make sure we felt ok and we were hydrated. The employees were very friendly and nice. We will definitely be going back again!
We decided to try Urban Camping on a whim, when we read about it online. We had some questions so I tried to call, but had to leave a voicemail. No one ever called me back, so we showed up that evening with all our gear. There were three people at the customer service desk, but I asked questions of two of them and they didnt know the answers, and referred me to the third person, who had a line of people waiting to talk to her. I understand they probably work with a lot of summer help, but they still should put a little more effort into training staff. After we finally got the answers we needed, we started to set up camp near the rapids. However, when we realized they were going to turn off the rapids for the night, we changed our minds and chose a spot closer to the parking lot so we wouldnt have to lug all the gear so far.Camping was surprisingly quiet. We would have liked it if they had turned off the digital sign outside the building once they closed, since it was really bright. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable night. We drove partway to Bricktown and then hiked in from there for dinner. No one messed with our tent while we were gone. They showed a movie (Rocky IV) and you could sit on the grass, at picnic tables, or float on an innertube in the water to watch it. It was a nice activity to add, but Rocky IV - really? Whatevs, personal taste, I guess. We had fun, and its cool to be able to say we camped in downtown OKC. Having done it once, we probably wont do it again.
The activities were great but there web site is very misleading and lacking information on times of events such as the surfing and tubing and isnt until latter in the evening . It seams as though none of the employees knew what what going on exactly, my recommendation would be to call a head to figure out the times and conditions needed for activities. Other wise a very cool place to hang out and have fun.
Weve been tons of times. My whole family loves it, from the four year old who noodles around on the many interesting jungle gyms to the thirteen years old who has been on the ropes course so many times hes too cool for it now but he has fun on the bungee tower and just floating the river in a kayak. There is so much to do that we havent got bored yet, and I havent even started on the centerpiece! The artificial rapids are (Im told) among the best in the nation. The guides are young and exciting, the safety briefings are humorous enough to keep my interest after many trips, everyone has an encouraging can-do attitude. Tell them its your first time, sit in the front of the raft, and get soaked! Pro tip: bring a change of clothes and throw them in the $5 lockers, worth every penny. We have a season pass this year and will surely do it all again and again next year.
Had a wonderful time. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable. Ricky, the rafting guide, was fantastic.
It was amazing and had something for everyone in the family! JC was also an amazing guide for the white water rafting! 5/5
The whole extended family (7-55 yrs) had fun for hours. The staff were fabulous and friendly.
Whitewater Rafting was fantastic and the guides were great. Would absolutely go again and again!!!
Was a lot of fun. Guides were great and very knowledgeable.
Very nice!
I was there for 2 and a half hours, spent $500 for season passes for my family of 4, and got to stand around in the heat the entire time while waiting for equipment. The staff couldnt be bothered to help us get the equipment we paid to use. Eventually, after looking at my daughters heat stricken face, I had to admit that my Great idea about having an outdoor riversports Saturday was a dudd. Riversport has a lot of potential, but for some reason, the experience sucked. Its looks a lot cooler from the highway than it actually is. You gotta have equipment that people can use if you want to charge them to use it.
I called ahead to ask about dress code, to make sure flip flops were okay, and to make sure swimsuits and street clothes were both acceptable. I asked about the holiday pass, whether it included the fireworks show on the boat, and asked about what was there for small children. I was told there was no dress code, that of course the boat rides were included and there were tons of things for small children to do. When we got there, I was told I would not be able to purchase a ticket without proper footwear. So I spent $40 on water shoes for me. I paid full price for everyone. When we went to the childrens area, all the paid things for children were broken, and there wasnt anything for my small ones to do because they were too little for everything. I was disappointed but figured the boat ride was worth the price. We tried to kayak and were told that the kayaks closed early. We went for the boat ride and were informed that our tickets didnt include the boat ride even though it said it did online. After a full day of being able to do NOTHING that I paid for, I spoke with a manager. She refunded me all the tickets, but not my shoes. They were non-returnable. So, they get two stars for refunding my tickets, and they were pretty nice about it. But this has happened twice now that Ive called ahead with questions and gotten wrong info. I probably wont be returning.
Fun for everyone, perfect place for an active 8 year old
Great staff! Our guide made sure we had a super time (and got plenty wet!)
Rapids were exhilarating, zipline was out of this world, epic adventure all the way around!
Rafting the rapids this summer has been worth every penny.
Great for team building and evening tube floats in summer!
Go have fun however DO NOT BUY PHOTOS FROM THIS PLACE! THEY GLADLY TAKE YOUR MONEY but you never receive your pictures. Its been almost six weeks since our visit. Still trying to get a response, my photos or money back. Have sent them a letter (usps) email text and had my daughter try to deal with them. NOTHING!!! Made our 5 star experience a 3.
It was Alot of fun....we did the zip line....there are so many activities that you can do.... You can get an all day pass for $50
Definitely worth getting a season pass. Being able to go whitewater rafting in the middle of OKC is awesome. The rafting guides also make the whole experience even better.
Wife treated me as a birthday gift and we had an awesome time. Ask for nick as your guide and you wont go wrong. My first time and it was great.
Very well maintained and lots of different attractions. The rapids was fun to be in and really felt like real rapids. The canoeing is something that is fun but also touight on the body. The obstacle course is also fun and can be scary if you are scare of heights.
So much fun....river raffing and kayaking is a blast...zipline in had a hr wait in line..
The rafting was so much fun! It was worth the drive from Texas just for that. Our guide, Sebastian, was great! There are some extra fees, so beware before hand, but it was worth the price of admission just to raft.
Great fun! Rapids and our guide Ray, was especially amazing! However, Id speculate that we were in contact with 20-30 employees during our 4 hours here and Id say 25 of them couldnt answer the simplist questions. Usually with I dont know without an interest to help, or a redirect to someone else, who also didnt have answers! Concession and gift counter didnt know what their merch cost! After the cashier prioritized cleaning a table (with a dozen other available tables) as more important then my standing at her counter to place an order with Ill be right with you, finished her table, pushed in chairs and with no degree of enthusiasm desided she was ready! How much is a reg Lemonade? answer: The register tells me .Well I only had a $5... so lets roll the dice and proceed on a guess that thatll cover it! Success...barely!Wanted a pair of shoes for my son at the gift shop. No price on them so the obvious question follows. Answer: $29....I think and resumes her conversation with her co- worker without skipping a beat!My husband lost his wallet somewhere. 3 separate employees dont know where lost and found might be. 4th guy was also the one who found it so the lost was found!I burnt a 5×2 abrasion on my back from the metal slide and thought I needed a topical. I trust the fellow to assess... Its not bleeding so I carry on, sucking it up! Until the walk in 90 degree heat to the pavilion causes sweat to run...feels like someone poured acid on me, so I know its open skin back there. I hit up the gal at Guest services and she has a concerned reaction after seeing my back and disappears behind a divider to get right to the first aide kit..i thought! Brandy (I think thats what I heard) is beckoned behind the divider to help the gal find an appropriate remedy and she hooks me up! 2 misses on basic first aide. Brandy, as I have witness during this day, seems to be the go to for a lot of answers to simple stuff. We check in to our raft reservation and efficiently are ushered to a safety presentation and teamed up with our raft guide. We are all invited to tip our guide but of course left everything in our locker, something I would not have thought of. So we plan for the tip once we get back to our wallets. Our quide was fun, skilled and engaging and deserved a tip. We know I already spent the last bit of cash I had on a lemonade, so well hit the ATM for a $20 for Ray, our quide. Theres one ATM...way across the campus...no problem well charge a tip for him...they dont do that. Although Ray deserved that appreciation from us, the 15 minute wait in the Guest services line to find out what a hastle seemingly EVERYTHING here is caused us to give up.Summary, get it zipped up people. Brandy, keep up the good work, its noticed! Ray, you were a trip, and a highlight of our day and deserved more effort then we were willing to put in under the circumstances.
Riversport has very friendly staff and is such a thrill! This is a great place for anyone looking for some fun, safe adventuring. Definitely check out everything while you can because while youre here time will fly.
My family and I rafted here and had an amazing time! It is very well run and a very smooth process. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Have you ever seen those pictures of Olympic athletes paddling down a Rapids, trying to win a gold medal? Have you ever been on a rubber raft trip down the Colorado River? Well now you can do those things right here in Oklahoma City. Believe it or not, this is a great water rapids venue, and many Olympic hopefuls train here. Even if you dont want to participate, its a great deal of fun to watch.
I conquered my fear of heights and did the zip-line over the Oklahoma River with my grandsons ... and survived! It was a tremendous, freeing experience. And hey, if a 60+ year old grandma can do it, so can YOU.The best thing Ive seen lately is the AUBREY McCLENDON WHITEWATER CENTER. I am so proud and grateful that this gentleman is being honored with this new facility.
I got to go for free today with work and the white water rafting was the best part. My group had Jack (aka Kiwi) the guide from New Zealand. He was absolutely amazing. We got to spend a bit more time on the water than a lot of the groups because he was determined we would surf everywhere it was possible and when we jokingly suggested we do the course backwards for one run he actually did it. If it werent for the price Id be back all the time wanting to paddle with Kiwi.
Everything here was really great.Except the 2 hour wait for the zip lines.
Mainly went for the rafting. Overall it was a very good experience. A few times I felt like some of the staff was undertrained or maybe new to the job. Overall hospitality was just average with the exception of the raft guides, they were awesome. Very well trained, talkative, safety conscious and genuinely interested in us having fun. No flip flops, take sunblock, dry change of clothes and cheap sunglasses. If you opt for the 2 rafting sessions, dont book them back to back, youll want to rest!
This place was awesome! Owner was great, event was fun and safe, kids running around laughing. Perfect
This place is fun but...The Hospitality is Terrible. Not from the staff, they are kind. Its from the management and decision makers behind the scenes who never come face to face with the guests. The website said Overholser opened at 8:00. We went to kayake and SUP at 8:00 (no one there) 9:30 (no one there) and 10:30 (still no one there). We had a party of 12 very disappointed people ( 5 from out of town we were eager to show this attraction to...) So we headed downtown, they open at 11:00.Downtown Boathouse keeps losing fun stuff every year but the prices are increasing. They now charge extra to do the zip line, they will not give out any courtesy water. My son hurt himself, they wouldnt even give a band aid. Theyve taken away the trampolines, climbing wall, kids zip line and the bikes by the bike course. If you had never been here before you probably wouldnt notice anything wrong but since we have been season pass holders for a couple of years we see the decline in this Oklahoma Tourist Attraction. We love our city and want this place to be back the way it used to be.
Food was great in the restaurant, yea for the fried pickles!! I love seeing the dragon boats!! Thats my favorite!! I am thrilled with whats going on here in OKC!! The activities along side the river are exciting!! I love what has been done there!!
A bit overpriced but its the most fun youll have in okc!
High energy great people so much fun great food at the big water grill.. the food is amazing. Everyone is super frie.dly and helpful.. a must see ..once my son and I started coming we havent. Issued a weekend yet.. its very addictive and great fun e exercise
I have accepted that this place costs a bit so we have gone in a couple of years. Today I was very disappointed because we went and was in gormed that they are closing early due to booking for a private event so my daughter would only have just over an hour. I didnt want to disappoint her yet again (we had just been to frontier city and couldnt go because they too were shut down for a private event) so I agreed to let her do this but I feel if they are going to shut down early then they should have discounted the price.
The rapids are absolutely a blast! Guides are always friendly. Fun time for sure.
Great place to enjoy a weekend. The rafting and kayak instructors are awesome and knowledgeable. Going next weekend
We had a great time. There is so much to do. Definitely going back.
Clean. Well-staffed. Not insanely crowded. We did a little of everything. The white water rafting was definitely the highlight. Josh was our leader and he was excellent.
We got the day pass, we mostly wanted to do white water rapids. Under the assumption thatbit covered doing everything else there--DOES NOT COVER ZIP LINE!! Disappointed but loved the white water rapids
SUPER experience for All in family, we had a Great time visiting 1. Climbing tower 2. River rafting and 3. Water slides - Great amusement for both parents and teenager
Awesome weekend trip from Dallas, well worth the money. Ron with the mustache was an awesome guide!!!
The best guide for the rapids is the dude from New Zealand, hands down. He goes by Kiwi, like the bird from New Zealand. Best thing about the whole place was the experience given during the rapids from him, very safe, professional and fun. Make sure if hes your guide you tell him you want to surf and hell know exactly what it means!
Exhilarating!! It was a total blast and worth the money. Aaron our guide was the real deal and made it a safe and great experience.
Awesome place. Rapids definitely bigger than we thought they would be. Great place to really hone your skill.
Was fun. The rafting will most assuredly get you wet! Not too confident that the water is as clean as Id prefer, but this IS Oklahoma were talkin bout after all!
We did a dragon boat teambuilding exercise as a company outing. It was amazing! Loved learning about the facilities. Very impressive!
We came for a free concert. The area was beautiful! The facility was very clean!
Whitewater rafting is awesome!
It was fun to watch all the different races such as. Rock climbing, water race etc
One of the best places in Okc for high thrills. I love white water rafting!
Really fun place and staff is cool. You get everything to have an entertaining day whether youre an adult or a kid.
Cannot say enough good things. Brought two teenage boys for a few hours. Employees gave invaluable advice for local eats.
Had a blast and the food was good too! Highly recomemded summer activity.
Oh my goodness!! I had no idea what we were in store for going to this amazing family friendly outdoor activity location!! We dis everything from kayaking, sup boarding, rock climbing, this obstacle course, 80 foot drop, ziplining, rapids, etc. Its so great because you can really spend all day there!! If we were local we would have passes! The 2 things I would say I wasnt impressed with was the fact that the kids working rhings didnt seem to know a thing about what they are doing or the services offered and the website is terrible. If they fixed the website and explained things more clearly, I think they would get more business, out of state and in!
We arrived first thing having driven from Texas, booked for raft experience, which was 2 hours wait, asked what else there was to do and the staff on reception just waved vaguely in a direction .We set off to find the other activities that we were entitled to with our day pass but we re unable to see any thing else.Eventually found another member of staff and asked about paddle boarding, to be told all the paddle boards were broken, he also did canoeing but hadnt started yet !We went back to reception to ask where the tubing was to be told it wasnt available till 1600, so again I asked what we could do and told to try the inflatables.... We had walked past these and they were justust a mass of uninflated plastic. So after deliberation my party decided to get a refund .As was waiting for the transaction I noticed a map of the facility which we were not offered. So in summary most of the activities that we included in our day pass were not available and the staff need to step up find out about their own facilities and actually be helpful, very very disappointed considering the distance we travelled
I recommend this place for kids with ADD or Hadd it LL have them wore plum out!
Sooo much fun
Definitely the funnest thing to do in OKC outside of an NBA game..we had a blast!
Very disappointed...not at all what we had in mind. We thought this was going to be full of adventure and fun. It was so overpriced for what you get. Online was confusing and we thought wed figure it out better as we arrived but it was just so unorganized and staff wasnt helpful. We signed our waiver and paid but the wait for the raft was almost 6 hours. It was very hot and I decided I needed a hat and sunscreen but for 20 minutes or longer no one was ever available to check me out at the suvineer register so I finally decided to stand in the long line again where you initially pay for your pass. Behold I see man go to the register so I jump out of line to pay because I didnt even know if I could pay at the pass register. As soon as I walk up he walks off. I lost my spot in line and had to go back through the pass line ...again!!FINALLY we get outside and want to paddle board. I didnt realize you had to rent the kayaks. Someone that didnt work there informed us. So we look around at what we can do with all this wait time and want to he in the water because its super hot. We decided on the paddleboards. Well we stood in the heat and sun for 30 minutes...another wait. There werent many life jackets and not enough paddles. There was roughly 20 people just waiting. Why do I want to pay so much much to just stand wait and have yet to do a single thing. Your day pass only includes one run on the water raft. There are NO refunds!! Even If we didnt get to do a single thing. We arrived at the facility at noon and left an hour later. We will go to the mall and walk around till 5:30 when we can actually raft since we paid all that money! What a huge disappointment and waste of money!!! Also the place was just so unorganized and blah. Made me sleepy. Needs more employees and more fun music or something to liven it up. The staff was very dull except maybe a couple employees that had a smile but still not very helpful. People act like you have been there before and should know your way around.Got a full refund and manager very easy to talk to and understanding. We went ahead and rafted which was such fun. This place would be good for locals or regulars. Recd manager talk to staff about explaining things better to customers and not expecting people to just know what to do when they get there.
Had a great time could barely understand our guide as he is from Columbia
This place was so fun. Something for everyone!
Awesome way to spend the day. Guides were great!
We went to zipline and do the white water rafting. We got there at 1230ish and they had stoping taking people for the zipline (fortunately our person let us know before paying unlike someothers who paid and then where told they couldnt do certain things)and they where sold out of lockers for your personal belongings. We were waiting in line for our scheduled rafting and then told on the rafting you cant take certain items yet they had no where for us to store them. None of the employees knew what the other was doing, one person told us to do one thing and then the next told us not to do that.We waited an hour for kayaking and when we asked how long they allotted each group they said they didnt know nor did they know how many 2 seater kayaks they had out. We understand it was busier then normal but your running a business and you should be expecting/prepared that on a weekend after a holiday. It was a good time but the customer service was horrible and for that reason we will not be returning nor recommending it to anyone
Loved it! The rafting was a blast and so was the sky trail. Highly recommended
One of the best $49 bucks you will spend. If you are not worn out by the end, you are not participating in all the included activities
This is a great place to go have some outdoor fun. They have zip line, slides, rapids there is alot to do here kids to adults..
