During the pandemic, OTC did not give up on educating and inspiring children. In fact, they rose to the occasion offering virtual camps and are currently producing The Wizard of Oz by Zoom. The children receive both group and individual instruction in a safe and secured environment. Furthermore, OTC is not afraid of embracing technology teaching the children Zoom etiquette, virtual background changes and how to enter exit a computer screen (as oppose to a stage entrance/exit). This on top of professional acting and singing lessons. Miss Kaitin, Mr. Josh, Miranda and Nathan all are doing an amazing job this year! As a parent, we are so grateful.

I’ve taken my child to various camps in the past and saying that I am relieved to have found Oklahoma children’s theater would be an understatement. Watching my child develop confidence and social skills whilst retaining the ability to have fun and be a kid is a true testament to this establishment. I also want to include my appreciation of the employees for providing a safe creative learning environment.

I booked my kids for camp for 1 week over the phone a few weeks ago. Last night my son woke up with the stomach flu and my daughter said she wasn’t feeling well either. I called to let them know we weren’t going to make it to camp and asked to either switch them to another week or get a refund. They told me that there was nothing they could do and that I could stay there with them, being sick if I wanted to, but in no way would they give me my money back. I took my child to the doctor to confirm they were indeed sick and got a doctors note. When I got to the camp they allowed my sick children along with their throw up bags in the room with the other kids. It wasn’t until I told them that I needed to stay so that I can notify the other kids parents that their children have been around sick children that they told me we couldn’t stay. Still, no refund and no switching to a different week even with a doctors note. DO NOT pay any money to this place unless you’re willing to throw your money away if something happens to where your child can’t attend. They will not work with you. All they care about getting their money. They don’t care about the health and well-being of the children at all and that was extreme transparent once they let my sick kids around the other kids. I was in shock at the way this was handled.

Kudos to this long-standing and amazing non-profit childrens community program! My son attended for many years as a child, returned as a teen volunteer, and eventually worked in the program throughout his college years. Such a growing experience for him at all stages and a delight to see that this organization continues to provide such a wealth of creative and educational opportunities for children in the Oklahoma City area!!! I continue to recommend it to all of my friends and colleagues as an excellent opportunity for their children and grandchildren!!! Thank you Oklahoma Childrens Theatre for serving our community all of these years!!!

Weve been going here for summer camps for four years now; great staff and engaging activities make their programs stand out from others we have tried in the past. One of the few summer activities the kids ask to go back to year after year!

It was a decent and entertaining field trip for the kids. It would have been neat if the kids could have been able to participate a little more and maybe learn a few things but it was fun and funny. The kids enjoyed the show.

Loved it! Their summer camps were such a fantastic experience for my child and she cannot wait to do it again! It really boosted her self esteem to be in a play and gave her skills to make friends with lots of new kids. All the teachers were so friendly! This is definitely one of the best summer camps in OKC we cant wait to come back!
